Peniel's POV.

We arrived at the villa. Everyone was gathered there. They all flashed dirty looks and tormentous whispers and gossips filled the room. Just then, the doorbell rang. I opened it to see my financial assistants. I grabbed the bag of money from them and slammed it on the table, directly infront of the village leader. He smacked the table, "Ya. Don't be too cocky, kid. I have to make sure there's an exact amount of money in here.".

I rolled my eyes and snorted, "Go ahead."

Jane grabbed my arm tightly as she stared at the village leader and his two goons count the money. I patted her hands and whispered, "Don't worry. Everything's gonna be fine when I'm around.." 

She locked eyes with you and gulped, "I know.. I trust you.."

Your eyes softened at the sight of her. 

Minutes later, they were done counting. "So.. It's the exact amount right?" 

The village leader sighed annoyingly and nodded. Jane jumped with relief and hugged me. I flashed a huge smile, feeling relieved that this was over. I'm pretty sure she felt even better. 

"Let's celebrate!!!!" Jane said excitedly as she dragged me out of the villa. 

"Where are you taking me?" I yelled. 

"To the most beautiful place in the village!" she laughed.

After twenty minutes of panting, we finally reached the peak of a hill. She let go of her hand and spun around freely. I panted heavily, trying to catch my breath as I sat on a huge rock. While trying to catch my breath, I looked at the scenery. It was beautiful. Like a piece of heaven was thrown into this part of the village. The flowers were blooming and there was a clear view of the entire village. 

Jane slung her arms over my shoulders, "Isn't this place wonderful? Worth the climb right?"

You smiled and nodded in agreement.

She pointed to the upper part of the village, "That's my house! See! And that's Ilhoon's place. And that's where the grumpy ahjumma, Gayoon, lives. And-"

I let her continue with what she was going to say. She seemed really happy. Like a burden had been lifted off her shoulders. Seeing her happy, made me happy as well. I just continue gazing at her while she pointed around the village. The sun shone directly on her face. It made it seem like she was a goddess. I could look at her all day.

"What are you looking at?' she blurted out of the blue. I snapped out of my daydream and coughed, "Nothing. It's just that.. The sun is setting soon."

"Phew.." I thought.

She sat beside me and sighed, "Yeah..." 

"What's wrong?" I asked.

She shook her head and stared to the sun that was about to set. "It's nothing.. I just.. Haven't been able to see the sunset for a year. I was literally trapped in that cell for a long time. So, this is a pretty emotional moment for me. It's like.. I'm finally free."

I couldn't help but focus on her. I stared at her plump lips. My heart began thudding. "Should I just kiss her?" I thought. It seemed like the perfect setting. I began hesitating. I felt an adrenaline rush in my fingers as my arms lifted and my fingers tilted her head towards my direction. I leaned forward to plant a kiss on her. I felt my lips against hers. Her eyes softened and came to a close. So did mine. I felt my heart slowing down and a fluttery feeling came about in my stomach.

We sat on the rock, kissing by the sunset. 

Jane's POV.

His fingers under my chin. He dragged me closer. And our lips came in contact. My eyes widened with great surprise. My heart skipped several beats. My emotions kicked up a stir in my stomach. But, he didn't force the kiss upon me. Instead, I closed my eyes and returned the kiss back to him.

I didn't think much. 

It just happened naturally.
