"Seunghyun oppa? Is that you?" as I wondered to myself why Seunghyun would be calling me at such a time.

 

A faint and shy "Yes that's me. I'm sorry to call you so late Sam, but could you perhaps come out for a second?" could be heard from the other line. 

 

I checked the clock once again to make sure I had read the time correctly, it now said 3:38AM. Seunghyun's night call left me puzzled and I really wanted to know why he was calling me this late. But I reminded myself that I had an exam tomorrow, or well rather today. I politely let him know about my test and asked if it were not possible to perhaps meet up after the test. A sigh could be heard and then everything went silent but he hadn't hung up.After a few seconds of waiting I asked 

 

"Seunghyun oppa, are you still there?" but no answer could be heard except a faint sigh. I was just about to hang up when I heared

 

"Kim, please just 3 minutes. I beg you, I'm already inside your lobby room".

 

The pleading in his voice made me hesitant and I was really curious on what possibly could make Seunghyun call me in the middle of the night. I decided that 5 minutes wouldn't be the end of the world.

 

"Alright Seunghyun I'll be down in a minute" and I hung up. 

 

I headed straight for the elevator and pressed for the lobby. The stupid elevator music was playing again, that's why I usually never take elevators. They're a death trap, may it be musically speaking or literally speaking. Halfway down I remembered that I was still in my pyjamas and to make it worse my pyjamas were drenched. I shrugged it off and reminded myself that I had known Seunghyun for a very long time now and that we were practically brother's and sister's. But somehow a part of me still felt a tinge of embarrassment knowing he'd see me in pyjamas, moreover, wet pyjamas.

 

The elevator doors opened and I could see a tall person standing outside, he was pacing back and forth or well trying to but he seemed to have trouble keeping his stature straight. It seemed like he was holding on to some kind of bottle in his left hand. I quickened my pace and walked straight up to him. 

 

"Oppa! What is it?" I asked.

 

Seunghyun took a chunk of whatever was in the bottle and threw it in the flower pot nearby. He grabbed me by the shoulders with his hands and looked me straight in the eyes. He looked at me straight in the eyes, I blushed and was about to say something when he suddenly threw his arms around me, embracing me in a tight hold.

 

I was left startled and confused as I hadn't expected nor did I understand the sudden skinship. Moreover he was still not saying anything so I just waited awkwardly, however the hug started to feel nice. It felt as if I fitted perfectly in his arms. Like two puzzle pieces and his body heat kept me from being cold. That's when it hit me that I was still soaked. I tried wriggling myself out from his tight embrace as I whinned

 

"Seunghyun oppa! Your clothes will be wet..."
 

He let go of me and looked at me with a confused look. I chuckled and explained to him about Daesung's idea of a nice wake up call and he joined in. His warm husky laugh was echoing against the empty lobby room. I side-glanced at the clock on the wall and realized that I had soon spent 15 minutes "talking" to Seunghyun. I turned back at him and our eyes locked. We just stared at each other and for some reason my heart started beating faster. I decided to end this awkward staring contest going on and looked up to the clock once again as I finally asked

 

"Oppa, what is it? Why di-"

 

It all happened so fast, Seunghyun had cut me halfway in a sentence. He had thrown his lips on mine and before I knew it our lips started moving.
