Daehyun stood by the school gates,

a black mask pulled across his handsome face,

covering his mouth and nose.

Two weeks had passed after your disappearance.

Daehyun turned back into the cold, quiet boy that he used to be.

His friends noticed it but did not ask him any questions.

The excuse used to cover up your disappearance was that your aunt from America has brought you back with her.

‘Daehyun-sshi.’ A girl stopped Daehyun in the hallway as he was about to pass.

As usual, he ignored the girl but that girl was persistent.

‘I know where ~~~~~ is.’ She said.

‘ Hyeri-sshi, he’s in America.’ Daehyun said coldly.

‘Daehyun-sshi, i know who ~~~~~ truly is because i am the same as her.

I know where she is now and you can save her.’

Daehyun froze as those sentence left Hyeri’s mouth but after a moment he shrugged it off.

‘You know nothing.’ He said and pushed pass Hyeri.

‘She’s a devil. She’s stuck in the deep, dark and cold Abyss now. I can help you save her.’ Hyeri said.

Daehyun stopped in this tracks and turned back to look at her.

‘I know you want to save her, Daehyun-sshi.’ Hyeri said.

‘How?’ His voice croaked.

‘I’ll show you after school. Meet me at the abandoned house down the street.

I’ll tell you how.’

With that Hyeri walked away to join her friends.

‘I’m here. So now you tell me how to save her.’

Daehyun said as he threw his bagpack on the dusty concrete floor.

‘The Abyss is a place where a spirit is unable to finish its mission or task given is sent to.

They’re sent there to be locked up.’ Hyeri explained.

‘I’ll send you in there. Because you’re a human, you will attract a lot of unwanted attention.

You have to keep watch for the Keepers that roam and secure the area.

Find ~~~~~ and get her out.’

‘Even if i did manage to get her out, wouldn’t the Keepers be back for ~~~~?’

Daehyun raised an eyebrow.

‘This is why you must bust her out without anyone seeing.

Usually it takes the Keepers 24 hours to realise a prisoner is gone.

So after you’ve got her out from The Abyss, you must finish the task or mission in 24 hours.

Then they will let her go.’ Hyeri said.

‘W-what if i get caught?’ Daehyun’s voice trembled a bit in fear.

‘You will be killed at once.’ His eyes widened at her words.

‘B-but... Aish, i don’t think i can do it.’

‘You’re hesitating? ~~~~ did not hesitate when she gave you her powers so you could live.’ Hyeri snapped.

‘W-what do you mean?’

‘~~~~~ gave you the last bit of her power to heal you.

If she hadn’t done that, she could have lived for at least another month.’

Hyeri said angrily. ‘And now you’re hesitating to save her?’

‘I-i.. didn’t know.’ Daehyun stammered.

‘Then go and save her. Have courage in yourself.’ Hyeri said and gave Daehyun a pat on his back.

She swung her arm across the empty room and a door appeared.

‘Run in as fast as you can. Don’t stop if you hear anyone call your name.’ Hyeri said.

‘But how will i know where ~~~~~ is?’

‘Your heart will lead you to her.’

‘What do you mean? Wha-‘ Before Daehyun can finish his sentence, he was pushed through the doors.

‘.’ He cursed.
