“So today would be the first day back of Samsung’s Vice President? You must be excited” So Hyun said

 

“You must be excited to do some love scenes with Hwiyoung” Rowoon teased the girl back

“You actually remember? Wow!” So Hyun laughed “It’s all an act oppa!” 

 

“Will I see you soon?” Rowoon looked a the girl as he took a sip of his coffee

 

“We’ll be continuously filming in Gapyeong so unfortunately I’d be staying there with Hwiyoung for a while. The director also called. Apparently Lee Do Hyun who was supposed to be the other male lead had to drop out, so I guess I’d be meeting the new male lead too”

 

“Why does this drama have so many male leads?”

 

“It’s a love story oppa” So Hyun laughed 

 

“I’m starting to get jealous. I have the right to be jealous right? Even if you and I have no official label?”  Rowoon looked at her with such sincerity that melted her heart in an instant

 

“Oppa…” She held on his cheeks

 

“Well I hope I’m not disturbing anything, but we’re getting late” Hwiyoung impatiently blurted

 

“Where did you even come from?” Rowoon annoyingly looked at his brother

 

“From our house. Jisoo noona is nagging too much. Something about forcing you to come home” Hwiyoung smiled 

 

“I’m totally fine. Hyung already put our men around the vicinity” Rowoon said

 

“You’re letting go of my brother’s face right? We have a drama to film” Hwiyoung asked the girl

 

“Would it really kill you to not break our moment here?” So Hyun said as she let go of Rowoon and started to gather her things

 

“You’re such a party pooper” Rowoon shook his head at his brother

 

“So what’s this? Are you guys back together for real this time?” Hwiyoung questioned

 

“Just get her to work safely” Rowoon lightly hit his brother’s arm

 

“Do we know who took over Do Hyun oppa’s role? Do Hyun oppa apologized to me last night too. He mentioned something about his agency suddenly withdrawing his casting” So Hyun pouted

 

“The director is keeping mum about it. We’ll meet him today though, right? It should be his character’s first appearance”

 

“Kind of scary to think who’ll it be. At least I was comfortable with Do Hyun oppa” So Hyun said

 

“You really like that Do Hyun oppa huh?” Rowoon suddenly said

 

“My ex-boyfriend is jealous!” So Hyun teased

 

“Yes yes I am jealous” Rowoon rolled his eyes

 

“This is too much in the morning. Can we go now? It’s quite a drive to get to Gapyeong” Hwiyoung got in between the couple’s conversation for the second time

 

“Ok ok. Manger Shin said she already has my things in my van and they’re on their way so I’m good to go”

 

“You, be careful ok?” Rowoon said

 

“Will our men be with you the whole time?” So Hyun asked worriedly

 

“Yes, don’t worry. Youngbin hyung gave me a lecture and made sure we’ll have our men follow all of us the whole time”

 

“You should really just stay at your family home” So Hyun said

 

“I’ll be ok I swear. You keep her safe ok?” Rowoon turned to his brother

 

“You’re not even concerned if something happens to me?” Hwiyoung teased

 

“That’s not very cute” Rowoon laughed “Go now!” Rowoon urged the two younger ones to go. He looked at So Hyun’s retreating figure with longing. She has not even left his house, but he already misses her.

The filming site is somehow busier than usual which baffled both Hwiyoung and So Hyun. They were currently rehearsing their scenes when the director approached them with the new actor who’ll replace Do Hyun. So Hyun frowned, recognizing the person who replaced Do Hyun.

 

“I’d like you all to meet, our new Taehwan, Song Kang” The director introduced ‘

 

Both Hwiyoung and So Hyun greeted him with familiarity

 

“You guys know each other?” The director asked

 

“Very well actually. Can I get the time to rehearse with my co-stars?” Song Kang smiled

 

“Of course. How about 20 minutes? Hwiyoung-ah, we’ll need you to rehearse with the camera though” The director asked

 

“Pd-nim, can I not do it a bit later? I’d like to get to know our new Taehwan more” Hwiyoung tried to ask

 

“Sorry Hwiyoung. We need the sunset today, so our schedule is pretty tight” The director looked at him “We’ll have time after filming today. We’re all going out for dinner!” The director cheered, totally unaware of the atmosphere. 

 

Hwiyoung looked at So Hyun who was now fidgeting on her seat. His brother would definitely not be happy at this scene.

 

“I’ll be back” Hwiyoung told So Hyun

 

“Ok” She quietly responded

 

“How are you?” Song Kang asked as he sat beside So Hyun

 

“I don’t think you need to know” So Hyun answered. She looked around and wonder why all of a sudden, all staffs seem to not be around them

 

“Look, what happened, it was a mistake. Please” Song Kang pleaded

 

“We’ve broken up. This is really something you need to stop bringing up” 

 

“So Hyun-ah. I love you”

 

“I’m sorry” So Hyun looked at him

 

“Is it Rowoon? Are you really together with Rowoon?” Song Kang asked

 

“Yes” She looked at him “In fact, I should have stayed with him in the first place” She honestly confessed

 

“I can’t just let you go. I’ll win you back. I won’t lose you to him” Song Kang said as he held on her hand

 

“You scare me” So Hyun tried to pull her hand 

 

“I’ll win you back” Song Kang said in finality “And this time, I’ll make sure to get rid of Rowoon for good” He smiled as he let her go. He was about to head to the director when So Hyun stopped him

 

“What are you saying?” So Hyun grabbed his hand and looked at him straight in the eyes

 

“You’ll come back to me” Song Kang told her before walking away

 

This didn’t sound like the Song Kang she knew. Anxiety rushed through So Hyun’s veins. Quickly, So Hyun dialed Rowoon’s number. She needed to hear his voice. She needed to make sure he’s ok. After few rings, Rowoon answered

 

“Missing me already? I can fly to Gapyeong right now” Rowoon teased

 

“Oppa…”

 

“Did something happen?” Rowoon asked

 

“You’re not going to like this”

 

“What is it? The love scene with my brother?”

 

“I wish it’s that simple. The new actor I’d be working with, it’s Song Kang”

 

Silence. The line went silent for a while.

 

“I’ll be there tonight” Rowoon finally said

 

“N-no! Don’t! I just. Oppa just promise me you won’t go out without your guards”

 

“You would rather spend time with your other ex there?”

 

“No, it’s not like that oppa…”

 

“I miss you already” Rowoon suddenly blurted 

 

“I miss you too. Always.”

 

“That would make me want to go there right away. You know that right?”

 

“Just stay safe there oppa. I promise I’d stay with Hwiyoung the whole time” 

 

“You’re not telling me something”

 

“I have to go now. I’ll call you later?” 

 

“I’ll be waiting” Rowoon said before hanging up

Filming finally started. With no choice but to comply with the script, So Hyun started to film her scenes with Song Kang

 

“I see you’re enjoying our resort?” Song Kang said as he hugged So Hyun from behind

 

“Exactly how I pictured it” She smiled while holding on to his hands

 

“CUT!” The director shouted “Hwiyoung-ah, time for you to go here. We’ll film you as the sun sets” He instructed “Kang-ah, continue hugging So Hyun tightly and continue saying your lines”

 

“Now that we have this resort ready. I have another dream I want to fulfill” Song Kang said

 

“You have another dream?” So Hyun looked at him and smiled. 

 

“Marry me” Song Kang said. So Hyun face froze. This isn’t even acting any more. She was genuinely shocked. Considering her past relationship with Song Kang, the words sounded real to her. 

 

“CUT! That’s it! That’s the emotion I’m looking for! That’s a wrap for today!” The director said “Come over here and let’s monitor together. After this we’ll head for dinner” 

 

After monitoring the scenes, Hwiyoung held on to So Hyun. Making sure she’s far from Song Kang.

 

“I’ll drive us to the restaurant hyung” Hwiyoung said as he lead So Hyun in the car

 

“Why don’t the three of you go for a ride. Hwiyoung-ah, take Song Kang with you too. A perfect way to bond” The director cheered, totally unaware of how awkward the situation could be

 

“Let’s do that. I missed them” Song Kang smiled

 

Unable to say “No”, Hwiyoung invited Song Kang to his van

 

“What is it really that you want?” So Hyun said when they got in the car. She’s seated at the very back of the van while Hwiyoung and Song Kang sat in the middle seat

 

“I thought I told you exactly what I wanted earlier” Song Kang answered

 

“Very brave of you to say that. Inside his brother’s van too” 

 

“What’s going on?” Hwiyoung intervened

 

“I’m not letting us break up” Song Kang answered

 

“Dude, I think it’s pretty rude of you to mention that here” Hwiyoung said

 

“There’s nothing worst than being unfairly forgotten” Song Kang said as he looked at Hwiyoung. Another son of Ji Ah, the mother figure who abandoned him before.

 

Just then, Hwiyoung received call from his mother

 

“Mom! How are you and dad?” Hwiyoung asked

 

“Oh my little boy, how are you? Rowoon said you’re filming with So Hyun? How is it going?”

 

“We’re going to a restaurant now. We’ll probably be in Gapyeong for a while” 

 

“Take care of our So Hyun ok?”

 

“Mom, you really need to stop favoring So Hyun too much”

 

“She’s our precious one. Enjoy, love you son”

 

“Love you mom!”

 

Song Kang watched the interaction with envy. First Rowoon, now Hwiyoung is making him feel intimidated too. How much more will these brothers take from him.
