“So let me get this straight” Jisoo started as she watched Dawon put another piece of sushi on her plate “You’re going to pretend to be the boyfriend she’s been visiting late at night? Wouldn’t that affect the project she has with Hwiyoung? Our poor maknae will be pitied on” Jisoo frowned

“So Hyun has always been good at keeping her private life not affecting her work, so this should not be an issue” Rowoon smiled as he poured green tea on So Hyun’s cup

“Hello? It feels like I’m invisible to you. You don’t even listen to what I’m saying” So Hyun waved her hand at Rowoon

“Hello…girlfriend” Rowoon playfully smiled

“Seriously, what have you done to my ex-boyfriend? You weren’t this playful before. What got you excited?” So Hyun asked

“Going out with you again!” Rowoon winked

Dawon choked on his sushi and stared at the two “I thought this is fake?” he asked

Rowoon patted the older man’s back in response

“I need to talk to my agency” So Hyun stood up

“I sent an email to Manager Shin already” Rowoon said

“What’s up with you and my manager? Why do you guys talk behind my back?” So Hyun shook her head at him before grabbing her phone to call on her manager

“Rowoon. What are you doing?” Jisoo looked at her younger brother

“Noona. I don’t want that guy to ever be in her life again. I want her to forget him” Rowoon answered

“By being her pretend boyfriend?” Dawon asked

“Hyung, maybe this time we can give it a try again. I will make her love me again” Rowoon truthfully answered “It’s ok right? Hyung?” He turned to the older man

“I’ve always put my bet on you” Dawon winked

“Hello? What about my poor Hwiyoung? My baby boy?” Jisoo asked

“Oh noona he’s a grown man. He’ll be ok!” Rowoon smiled

“The agency said it shouldn’t be a problem. They actually think it’s a good strategy to talk about the drama with Hwiyoung. In their words, they like the idea of people piquing interest on who’s a better kisser, my boyfriend or drama’s love interest” So Hyun rolled her eyes before going back to her seat. 

“I bet I am the better kisser” Rowoon proudly said

“We’ll see. I’ll let you know when I film the kissing scene with Hwiyoung” So Hyun winked at him

“This is weird” Jisoo shook her head

“Yup baby, we were definitely not needed here” Dawon shook his head

The four of them decided to walk around Shibuya after dinner. Searching for a good dessert place, the girls were walking ahead of the guys. From time to time fans would approach So Hyun and ask for photos. The celebrity didn’t mind. In fact, this has been one of the most relaxing nights she’s had in a while. 

“There’s that ice cream place down the street. Let’s head there!” Jisoo excitedly said “Dawon-ah! Hurry!” She turned to the two guys before running to the store with So Hyun. The girls were excitedly looking at the menu when So Hyun’s phone started to ring. It was an unknown number. Out of habit, she went to pick it up.

“Hello?” 

“I had to use another number so you’d pick up my call?” Song Kang said  “Before you hang up, baby, please. I’m so sorry. I did not mean what happened. You know I was tipsy. I wouldn’t have done that otherwise. Baby, please” Song Kang begged

“I…”

She didn’t know what to say. Part of her wants to believe Song Kang, but the damage has already been done. She can’t go back to how they used to anymore. Her hands started to tremble due to the emotions she can’t let out. Frustration, anger, pity, she can’t even pinpoint exactly how she feels. She was about to say something when her phone got taken from her.

“She no longer needs to talk to you. I just want you to know that I’ll always protect her and that she does not need to see you” Rowoon said before hanging up the phone

“Will you please tell me exactly what happened?” Dawon asked. The four of them were lead to their table “Why is Rowoon doing all this?” 

“Hyung…”

“No, you don’t get to answer this time Rowoon. I want to hear it. Something happened huh?”

“Promise me, promise me Dawon oppa that you won’t ever tell this to Chani or Jaeyoon oppa” 

Dawon nodded. He’s always been the most patient and understanding brother.

“I…I promise to talk about it when we come back. Can we eat ice cream for now?” So Hyun looked at her brother

“I can never say no to you…” Dawon shook his head

“Strawberry Cheesecake for you right, love?” Rowoon smiled at her

“Yes!” All of a sudden, the emotions she felt while talking with Song Kang, was replaced with genuine happiness. Rowoon really does make her happy. Even in his own little ways.

The dreaded time for the actress has come. The four of them were back home from their little dessert trip. So Hyun thought about just keeping it a secret. What would Dawon do? Force her to confess? At the same time though, she knew she needed someone to talk to about this. This is something that’s never happened to her before. No one ever dared to take advantage of her. Especially upon knowing who her family is and her brothers surrounding her. 

“You’re going to talk to us right?” Dawon carefully asked. WIth the way his sister is acting, he knew he will not be pleased with what he’s about to hear. 

The four of them were seated in the penthouse’s living room, overlooking the city night view of Tokyo. 

“Oppa…” So Hyun held on Dawon’s hands. “Song Kang…he tried to force himself on me. He forcefully pushed me to the sofa and kissed me, asking me to him” So Hyun tightened her hold on his hands. “At first he was too strong for me and that made me scared. A lot. I…I didn’t want to do it with him. I wasn’t ready for it” So Hyun scrunched her brows “In fact, maybe because I didn’t really love him that I didn’t want to give myself up to him. I then managed to push him away and told him we’re over. He then insisted that I probably just gave up my body to Rowoon oppa in the past and then he got angry with the idea that I’m in his eyes intimate with all my guy friends. I was going to Rowoon oppa’s house, but he followed me in the elevator. Rowoon oppa was there and he stopped Kang from asking me about not breaking up with him” So Hyun finally had the courage to look at her brother’s face. Horror evident on her face as she tries to read her brother’s expression.

“I’m calling Jaeyoon hyung!” Dawon stood up

“Oppa please. You promised” So Hyun begged her older brother

A loud, broken glass was then heard. Three heads looked at Rowoon who’s sitting down at the far end of the sofa. He had shattered the wine glass he was holding, staining the carpet with the red wine he was pretending to drink in his attempt to act calm. 

“Rowoon…” Jisoo called on to her brother whose hand is now bleeding

“I need to go” Rowoon stood up

“Oppa” So Hyun approached him

“I’ll be back soon. I just need some fresh air” Rowoon looked at her and smiled 

The three of them stared at his retreating figure. He’s not ok.  Jisoo knew as his sister. He’s doing such a good job trying to stay calm, but he hated the idea of another man forcing himself to the only girl he’s ever loved. 

“Baby girl…I’m so sorry this happened to you” Jisoo approached the younger girl and gave her a tight hug “Thank you for being brave in sharing this with us. It must have been very hard” She rubbed her back, trying to comfort her. She felt her shirt getting soaked with So Hyun’s tears. 

“We need to sue him. Do something, kick him out of his home, he lives in one of Samsung’s buildings so it’s possible for us to kick him out” Dawon blurted

“Dawon no” Jisoo shook her head at her boyfriend

“You want me to just sit and do nothing? My sister almost got !!!” Dawon shouted

“DAWON!” Jisoo gave her boyfriend a warning glare. So Hyun cried harder.

“I’m sorry…come here baby sister” Dawon opened his arms. So Hyun turned to him and let him envelope her in a tight hug. She needed this warm comfort. She was glad she was able to share such traumatic experience with someone. “I just…I’m sorry…I wish I can do something to make him suffer too…”

“I just want to move on oppa” So Hyun let go and wiped her tears “But thank you for listening to me. I’m really ok now. To be honest at first, I hated myself. It was my fault for choosing him, for going to his place, but then Rowoon oppa really made me realize, it wasn’t me.” She smiled at her brother

“It’s not you baby girl…not you” Dawon cupped her cheeks. Jisoo continued to rub her back soothingly. Hoping this assures her that it’ll be ok.

Anger is an understatement on how Rowoon feels. He knew that Song Kang did something to So Hyun. He wanted to ask her badly, but knew he might lose it when he hears the truth. Now that he heard about it, he knew it was good that he didn’t ask when they were still in Seoul. He would’ve ran to Song Kang’s apartment and really beat him up. He may not have been interfering with their family’s dark side of the business, but he was a well-trained fighter just like his siblings. He spent an hour walking around the neighborhood, trying to calm himself down. He knew he can call his older brother, Youngbin to get Song Kang to say goodbye to his career, but he has to respect So Hyun’s decision of not wanting any more trouble. Can you blame him on wanting to hurt that jerk though? That man, who was with such a perfect woman, dared to force himself on her. Rowoon is no saint. Of course he and So Hyun were intimate when they were dating before, so when So Hyun admitted she’s dating Song Kang, he knew they were probably intimate with each other. The thought hurt him, but for him, he was genuinely happy as long as the love of his life is. 

He entered the house thinking everyone was asleep. This is probably better for him. More time to think about what he should do next. In the back of his head, Rowoon really wants So Hyun to love him again, but will it be ok to give their love a second chance? He tried to open the bottle of water on the counter and felt a sting on his hand. Right, he forgot he injured himself earlier. 

“You got me worried” His thoughts were cut by that one voice that makes him calm

“I thought you were sleeping” He said as he looked at her

“I was worried about your cut, and I was right. We should get that cleaned” So Hyun showed him the first aid kit

“It’s ok…”

“Oh don’t be stubborn” So Hyun took his uninjured hand and pulled him to sit on one of the bar stools

“I’m sorry” Rowoon blurted out

“You did not do anything wrong oppa…” So Hyun said as she opened the first aid kit

“I’m sorry because…” Rowoon cupped her cheeks that made the girl look at him. “I don’t think I can hold back anymore” 

“Oppa?”

“I’m…….I’m scared because I don’t think you are qualified enough to clean my wound. Can you call Jisoo noona?” Rowoon smiled before briefly touching the tip of her nose

“Seriously?? Wow I played as a nurse in Doctor Romantic!” She shook her head at him before going to the guest room that her brother and Jisoo are sharing. 

“I don’t think I can hold back anymore So Hyun-ah. I’m deeply, madly in love with you” Rowoon stared at her retreating figure.
