Unexpected

Tiredly staring his screen, Jeno rubbed his eyes for the billionth time and leaned back against his chair. He had an entire day full of meetings and paper work. His father was trying to slowly increase the workload for him to eventually adapt to having full responsibility over the company. He was young, but his parents completely trusted and believed in his capabilities. He was tired and his headache was back for the day. He was working nonstop and refused to let things sit untouched. Jeno has been burying himself in all this work all day everyday at the company’s headquarters.

As he was reorganizing his stack of papers, the door to his office cracked open. His head raised to look at the individual who just entered. His face fell and he immediately felt his blood boil. His fists tightened, accidentally crinkling the paper in his hands. “What the do you think you’re doing here?” The girl smirked at the sight of him becoming angrier.

“Aw, Jeno, be nice to your guest. After all, you and I go way back.”

“I asked you a question, Haera.” He didn’t understand why she was suddenly bothering him again. He hasn’t properly spoken to her in over a year.

“I just wanted to pay you a visit and congratulate you on your engagement. She’s quite beautiful, what’s her name again?” She found it entertaining to piss him off this way. He gritted his teeth out of anger. “Chaerin.”

“Oh right! How cute.”

“Why are you here?”

She snickered at him, “You know I love making your life a little difficult. It brings me joy when you’re pissed.”

“ off, Haera.”

Chaerin froze as she watched Jeno enter their bedroom. She had been lazily on her phone in bed for the past few hours when he came home. He had on a stern expression, making her scared to even breathe or mutter a word to him. She flinched a little when he closed the door to their bathroom roughly. Hopefully, the cold water from his shower could cool him off because he sure seemed angry. She quickly shot Jaemin a message.

Chaerin: yo your bff came home from work pissed; what happened hoe

Jaemin: you act like i know???? i havent talked to him much today, mans is busy

Chaerin: ok but work wouldnt piss him off like that though
