Flashback after the dinner in Chapter 1

"ARRRRGGHH!"

Small bits of broken crystals were scattered and spots of spilled red wine painted the white marble tiles as Mr. Hwang threw his 10th wine glass. The whole mansion was turned upside down due to his wrath. He's been drinking nonstop after what happened in the dinner with the Kims.

"Dad, please stop now!" Hyunjin painstakingly stopped his dad from causing even more damage in the house.

"THAT IS GETTING IN MY NERVES!!! SHE'S JUST THE SAME AS HER PATHETIC MOTHER!" Jaehyun's voice blasted in the quiet living room. He's clearly drunk.

"Dad, let's go upstairs now. You're already drunk." Hyunjin tried to lift his drunk father who was sitting helplessly on the floor.

"DON'T TOUCH ME! YOU SON OF A !" Mr. Hwang spat saliva on his son's face. Hyunjin tightly shut his eyes and slowly wiped the reeking saliva on his face. He was pissed off but he did not dare to talk back to his dad. He just let him off since his father was clearly not on the right state of mind.

"Jisoo should have been my wife only if she did not refuse the arranged marriage! Instead, she chose that stupid Jinyoung!"

Hyunjin was astounded at the revelation of his father. He felt bad for his late mother but he also felt the pain of his father being rejected. Maybe because they were in the same situation. His father continued on speaking.
