"What the hell was that about?" I hissed. Jennie winced at my tone and lowered her head down in embarrassment. After her bold statement, I had immediately snatched her arm and dragged her inside to Chaeyoungs empty office. We could still hear the faint voices of the guests outside the closed doors and the music was light but the beat still caused the walls to shake just slightly.

"You can't just go around and claim me! I'm not yours Jennie!" I pointed out angrily. Jennie groaned in frustration and began to pace around the room,

"You don't think I know that?! Jesus Lisa! I already know that, no need to rub it in my face!" She shouted in irritation. I stared at her in bewilderment,

"Do you even hear yourself? You're not even making sense!"

She laughed sarcastically and rolled her eyes, "I'm making perfect sense, you're just choosing to ignore the meaning of my words!"

"How much did you even drink?" I asked with huff while pinching the bridge of my nose in clear annoyance. Jennie scoffed,

"Not enough to forget," she stated coldly. She stopped in her tracks and plopped herself on the nearest leather chair. She leaned forward and placed her delicate face into her hands before sighing once more.

"If id had known this night was going to lead to this, I would've brought the strongest alcohol," she said humorlessly with an unfamiliar sound of pain. I exhaled softly and leaned my backside against Chaes desk and watched Jennie carefully. My heart hadn't stopped it's rapid beating since her statement and it sending me into a frenzy. But it also caused me to raise my walls even higher.

"Do you hate me Lisa?"

I widened my eyes and watched Jennie lift her face from her hands. Her eyes were b and her perfect lips were quivering in anticipation. Fear was radiating off her face and it was clenching my heart tightly to the point I was beginning to feel breathless. I stared at her for a second before shaking my head,

"No, not anymore."

She looked defeated, "So you did hate me?" She asked. I looked to the side and pursed my lips,

"I hated you at one point back then. But that was back then Jennie," I said quietly while lifting my gaze back to hers. She looked relieved but still had that pain settled in her dark eyes.

I continued, "But, I don't think it was actually hate. I think I just felt betrayed and hurt all at once," I said slowly and cautiously. Regret seeped into her eyes,

"I think it's about time to explain my actions 8 years ago," she said with a clearing of a throat. I watched Jennie lean back against the chair and clasp her hands together nervously. I smiled painfully and shook my head,

"I don't think it's necessary. It's in the past, I've moved on from it," I waved off. Jennie frowned at that and a flicker of pain appeared in her eyes. And, only this time, she didn't try to hide it. It left and unnerving feeling to settle in the pit of my stomach.

"Did you.." she cut herself off and shook her head, "never mind," she whispered. I scrunched my eyebrows in confusion,

"Did I what?"

It was silent, but seeing as she met my eyes and held them there with so much intensity and curiosity, my breath hitched in the back of my throat.

"Did you move on," she paused and took in a deep breath, "from me?"

I heard the ugly beat of my heart shake my body. My palms began to sweat and heat suddenly appeared on the back of my neck. No. I could never move on.

I looked away and clenched my jaw, "Thats not a fair question to ask," I firmly stated. I watched from the corner of my eye Jennie flinching from my tone and looking down at her hands again.

"You're right," she said with a shaky voice. "Everything I did to you back then wasn't fair and wasn't right and I realized that a long time ago," she added.

"Jen—," she cut me off.

"8 years ago, I made a mistake. I dated someone that I knew hurt you in ways I couldn't even imagine. I distanced myself and chose others over you—."

"Jennie, please stop—." She cut me off again by standing up with tearful eyes. I hadn't realized I was crying as well until I felt a stray tear slip from my eye.

"I ignored you, betrayed you, and lied to you."

"Stop it," I whispered brokenly. Jennie suddenly and slowly made her way in front of me. Her hands fiddled to her side. She wanted to hold me but she knew I wouldn't allow it. If she touched me in anyway, I would break again. I don't want to break anymore.

"I didn't realize any of it until you left me."

"Then why did you hurt me the way you did?" I asked with gritted teeth. She didn't look surprised or taken back from my reaction. But that didn't ease the pain and regret in her eyes or stop the tears from falling from her cheeks.

"You know how I felt but still decided to deliberately hurt me!" I pointed out angrily. I turned away from her and slammed my hands on the desk with cle
