Deo's POV

As I closed my eyes, the flashback of what happened 2 months ago feels like it just happened yesterday 

I was there...

I saw everything that happened 

"You traitors!"

The sound of the gunshots 

"Celine!!!"

Please...

"Don't close your eyes! Listen to me Celine! Celine wake up!!!"

Stop...

"WHAT DID YOU DO!!" 

"Agent Hann, our mission is successfully completed"

"This is not what you promised! YOU BETRAYED THEM!!"

NO!

 

"Deo!"

I opened my eyes

I'm all sweating 

I'm catching my breath 

"Sit up and drink this"

"I don't really like laying on your couch"

"You know it's for---"

"I know" I gave her the empty glass "Let's continue the session tomorrow,  I have something important to do today"

"Ok"

I put on my jacket and cap

"Deo"

"Hmm?"

"Don't be too hard on yourself"

I tell that to myself everyday 

I smiled at her "I'll see you tomorrow"

I started driving on my way to the Hospital 

"Deo"

"I'm glad you're finally awake" I said while smiling 

"What did I missed?"

"A lot. I don't even know where to start"

"Well... I have a lot of time"

"Come here" I hugged him "Welcome back Henry"

He pushed me "I've been here, you jerk"

Finally, a friend of mine is back. Actually he woke up last month but I couldn't visit him because I was confined on a different hospital too

"So tell me, what did I missed?"

We're on our way home and he couldn't wait for me to tell him everything

"You know Jun visited me last week... he told me what happend but I want to know how did you ended up on this mess"

"It started when we messed with Mazekin"

"Who's Mazekin?"

"She was the owner of the an underground bar that Jet used to go to. Dyle and I wanted to avenge you so we came up with a plan which was to put Jet inside the jail. We saw that they were doing so many illegal stuffs on that underground so we called the cops and Jet was one of the unlucky ones who got caught. We were happy because finally we have no problems cuz Jet is already in Jail. But I was wrong... We diminished our big enemy but we made a bigger one"

"And the bigger enemy is Mazekin? Why?"

"Because she was also the leader of the most wanted syndicate in the country"

"Woah"

"Yeah. She wanted a revenge because we took away her precious underground bar"

"What did she do?"

"She pretended to be Celine"

"Celine? Jun told me you dated a Celine too, are they the same person?"

"Yes. You already saw her"

"I did?"

I nodded "Do you remember the girl that we saw at the bar before? The girl I tried to flirt with but I failed?"

"The silver haired girl? That was her?!"

"Yeah. I was surprised to see her one day at our school. I thought she'll remember me because of what happened at the bar before but she didn't and that kinda hurt my ego"

"Let me guess... you bullied her"

"She bullied me too. We became mortal enemies"

"And you fell for her? That's cliche"

"I guess it's because she was always on my mind? I mean... I wanted to do something that will pissed her off cuz I wanted to ruin her day. Then it became a habit of always thinking about her...Do you get what I mean?"

"Not really"

"Anyways...we were enemies at first (I hated her guys) then I slowly got to know her (we became friends) then lovers and then we broke up"

"Was that her revenge? To make you fall and then break your heart?"

"She told me it wasn't part of the plan, that's why she broke up with me"

"I don't understand. I'm confused"

"We're here"

I parked the car in front of mompe's house

"I'll tell you the whole story later, go now, mompe is waiting for you inside"

"You're not coming?"

"I have to go somewhere first, I'll be back"

I started driving on my way to the Brew's Cafe, the sign says its closed but I saw him inside

"Deo Anderson" he shake hands with me "I'm Detective Park. Thank you for coming"

To be honest, I don't want to be here. I'm still traumatized of what happened yet here I am... 

"What do you want to know?" I asked

"Everything" he said "Everything that you know, I should know"

He put his little notebook on the table

"I was on the building when they were trying to kill each other but I wasn't participating"

"You were on Buffalu's side, did he tried to hurt you?"

"No. He saved me actually. He wanted to me hide somewhere safe until everything is done"

Celine saved me but she left me with Dyle to chase my Dad. He protected me after that

"Deo, you're safe here. Whatever happened don't let them see you. Stay here I'll go help Celine"

But I was stubborn...

"I followed him. He entered a room and I saw Celine--I mean Mazekin. She was there, pointing her gun at him. I was as confused as Dyle. I was going to stop her but someone came in, an agent, and he immediately shot her 3 times"

Damn

I can feel my hands shaking again

"And...?" He asked, waiting for me to continue 

"And... and then their boss came too. He was--he was going to s-shoot her again but Dyle pushed him and Dyle pulled a gun"

"SHOOT HER AND I WILL SHOOT YOU!"

It was Dyle vs. Every Agent in the room. All of them were pointing their guns on him but this one guy ordered them to put all their guns down

"Agent Hann, calm down. We shouldn't be fighting each other. You're right, we shouldn't kill her"

That's why they brought her to the hospital

"I went to the hospital secretly, he saw me and then he started apologizing"

"She thought I betrayed her Deo. I had no idea they will use me to capture Libero"

"Now I know that I'm not a part of the good guys. We are just bad as them but we're pretending to be good"

"He told me that he will resign as a government secret agent"

He wanted to save Mazekin from them because he could feel that they're gonna kill her soon

And he was right...

"The next morning, a big explosion happened on the 3rd floor of the building where her room was in. And I-- and I--"

 

"Are you alright? Your hands are shaking"

"Is that--is that information enough?"

He gave me water "I'm sorry, I know what you're going through"

I told him everything 

And I hope it helps

[Cementary]

I put the flower on the gravestone 

"Sorry that it took me 2 months to finally have the courage to visit you"

I sit on the grass

"Um... I'm going back to school next week, they were supposed to kick me out but my Stepdad talked to the principal. I guess he cares for me after all"

My mom told me everything about my real dad. She apologized that she had to hide the truth for a very long time. I forgave her and I'm glad that she ran away from him. I grew up having a better dad and I'm thankful for that

I apologized to my stepdad, he didn't say anything but he hugged me. I guess we're ok now

Asking for forgiveness wasn't that hard, I was surprised

And forgiving someone was not as hard as I thought it could be

I actually felt great after 

"I wish I accepted your apology when you asked for forgiveness. Now I regret how I didn't get to tell you that I forgive you when you were still alive. I'm sorry"

I wiped my tears

"Forgive me Dyle, I'm such a bad friend"

"It's ok Deo"

Dyle?

"! What the Henry! Don't scare me like that!"

I thought Dyle's spirit talked to me

"What are you doing here? You should be home resting"

"Mompe told me where his grave at. I came here before you but I walked around to find Celine's but hers isn't here. Which cemetary did they--"

"They found no body to bury"

"Oh... because of the huge explosion"

I nodded "But I know she's happy up there"

After everything that happened, I'm still happy that you came into my life

I have no regrets

I will treasure all our memories
