Deo's POV

This past few days, all I did was sleep in the morning and have fun at night in the bar... drinking till I passed out

I didn't want to stay at the apartment so I went back home, good thing my parents are traveling outside the country 

I didn't go to school as well. I'm afraid to see her because I know I won't be able to control myself and beg her to get back together 

When my parents came back, I stopped drinking because they will kick me out so I just stay in my room and do nothing. You know, just trying to be a good boy

3 days ago, I got a call from my dad, my real dad. He wants to meet up

He reached out to me months ago but we barely talk

Mom told me he's a bad person and he didn't deny it

In fact, he told me everything 

~ Dad Calling ~

"Hello?"

"Son. Do you have time today? Would you like to go somewhere with me?"

I didn't go to school, house is boring, I have nothing else to do

"Yeah I'll go with you"

Call End.

 

He told me he have a surprise for me. I got excited for a moment but when we stopped in front of an abandoned building I got disappointed 

"Don't tell me you're planning to give me this old abandoned building"

"No son. This is our headquarters"

We entered the building. It wasn't abandoned,  there's people inside... with guns

"Why'd you bring me here?"

"I told you. I have a surprise for you"

We stopped  in front of a room. He opened the door and I saw Celine laying on the floor with bloods and bruises 

"Celine! What did you do to her!!!"

She's unconscious 

I tried to take off the chains around her wrist

"Calm down son"

"What did you do this!!!"

Her white shirt is now red because of the blood

"Celine wake up"

"That's not Celine"

"She is Celine! She's my girlfriend!"

"That's her fake name"

"What?"

"She's been lying to you"

"What are you saying?"

"Her real name is Mazekin dela Pierce. She's the leader of Libero Syndicate"

Libero?

"She's using you to get back at me"

"Why?"

"She was once my right hand but she betrayed me, built her own syndicate and suppressed me"

No

That's not true

Is it?

"Son don't pity her. She got what she deserves"

No. I don't like seeing her like this

"I want to talk to her alone"

"Sure son but be careful, she's a manipulator"

He left the room and I sit next to her, waiting for her to wake up

Seeing her like this breaks my heart again and again

I want to hug her right now but I hate her at the same time because of what she did

"Deo"

She's finally awake

"What are you doing here?" She's struggling to sit down so I helped her "Where's Buffalu?"

"He left--"

"Did he hurt you?"

"No"

She smiled a little "That's good"

"I'm his son, why would he hurt me?"

"What?"

She looked surprised 

Does she not know or she's just acting like she doesn't know?

"He told me everything that I don't know about you. Your name is not Celine but Mazekin - a member of a syndicate. No I'm sorry. You're not just a member, you're the leader"

Control yourself Deo

"You just used me to get back at him"

"What are you talking about?"

"You hurt me to hurt my dad!" 

"That's not true"

"Then what's the truth!!! Tell me!"

"Deo..."

"Just tell me the truth please" I almost sound like I'm begging "You've lied enough"

I wiped my tears 

"What's the reason huh?"

She took a deep breath 

"Remember the underground bar that got raid because you called the cops? I owned it.  That time I wanted to hurt you so bad or even kill you but i needed to lay low because someone on the loose knows my real identity. I had so much time so I used it to come near you while waiting for the time to do my revenge"

"And you had no plan to tell me about this huh?"

"No..."

Wow. Unbelievable 

"...because I don't want to hurt you"

"You already did when you broke up with me! You know damn well how much I love you!"

You mean a lot to me

"I had to do that. I don't want you to be part of the world I'm living. It's too dangerous for you"

"You think I'm weak because I couldn't protect you"

"No"

"You're lying"

"I just wanted you to keep living your normal life

"Stop lying"

"Forgive me Deo"

"I can't"

I walked out of the room and went to another room where 3 guys are drinking "Out"

I drink the beer on the table when they left

I've been drinking a lot this past few days, it's not good

See what you're doing to me Celine?

"Son"

"D-dad"

I'm still not used to call him a Dad

"Here" he gave me a pocket of white powder

"What's this?"

I gave it back "I don't do drugs"

"Really? You're girlfriend makes a lot of drugs do you know that?"

"No"

I thought she's a leader not the maker of drugs

What else should I know?

I don't know much about her

"I heard Felix drugged you"

"Her stalker?"

"What-- HAHAHAHA stalker? Is that what she said?"

She lied again?

"Felix used to make the best drugs. Even I wanted to get him to work for me but that guy was very loyal to his friend that time. Only Mazekin managed to get him because he fell for her. They became the #1 drug supplier because they make the best drugs together" he stopped "What's that?"

We heard a couple gunshots and explosions

"Boss!" A guy came in "Libero's here"

"Of course they will. Son get the gun"

"What?"

"You know how to use a gun right? Aim then shoot"

"Wait I-- I can't kill people"

"You'll get killed if you don't.  Let's go"

I followed them with a gun on my hand 

We run, they shoot,  I hide

"Boss it's not just Libero, Agents are here too"

"Government Secret Agents? Are they working together now?"

I feel like I'm part of an action movie and I'm the loser who needs protection 

"Move!" 

I was pushed before something exploded 

The gun that I was holding earlier is gone

I hide on the corner when they started firing

I stayed there while covering my ears. It's too loud!

I'm too scared to go out there because this time, I am not one of the good guys. Police will not be on my side

This is the moment where I realized what she told me...

Is this her 'world'

Right, too dangerous for me. I won't--

No. 

I can.

I picked up the gun on the floor and waited till they stopped then I ran as fast as I can away from them 

All I need is to survive right?

I was running while covering my head when someone grabbed me into a room

I was panicking but I immediately calmed down when I heard her voice

"Deo it's me"

It's Celine

She's holding a gun

"Don't come near me" I pointed her the gun that I was holding

"I won't hurt you"

"I can't trust you"

"Deo I know I lied to you, I'm sorry. I swear it wasn't part of my plan to be in a relationship with you but--"

She suddenly stopped and pointed her gun at the closed door

I did the same

I heard footsteps and it stopped in front of the door

We're both waiting for the door to open 

She stood in front of me "Stay down"

Nope I'm not listening to you!

I stood up 

The door opened and the guy came in "FREEZE!!!"

I immediately raised my hands. A sign that I'm  surrendering but Celine didn't 

Now both of them are pointing their guns to each other

"Put your gun down!" He said to her

She put her gun down and faced me

"Don't move or I'll shoot you!" He said

She faced him again

"Really? You'll do that Agent Hann?"

She knows him?

"Or do you still want me to call you Dyle?"

What?

I looked closer and yes... it is Dyle, wearing the same outfit like the Agents

He's one of them?

And she knows about it?

Both of them were lying to me?!

"Am I the only one who know nothing about the truth here?"

"Deo--"

"Don't touch me!" I pushed her away from me

I looked at him "You lied to me"

"Forgive me Deo. I'm only doing my job"

All this time, they know each other. He knows her intentions and she knows he's lying to me

No wonder I know nothing much about them

Their family background, their old friends, no childhood photos, and no relatives

Wow.

Am I that stupid to not figure it out?

I've been played 

I've been manipulated 

Everything they showed me was a lie

I can't believe this

I stepped back

She stepped forward but stopped when Dyle told her not to move

"Deo" he's still pointing his gun at her but he's looking at me "I will explain everything to you but right now I need you to come with me, you'll be safer with us"

"Do you really think I would hurt him" she asked him with an irritated tone

"You already did"

"And you didn't? You lied to him for years!"

"Stop!" they looked at me "I'm not going with any one of you"

Then I ran out of that room

"Deo--"

"STOP!"

I heard him shout and the next thing I heard was a gunshot 

No...

Did he...

I wanted to run back in there but someone grabbed me

"Let's go son"

"No wait I have to--"

His grip was too tight and he wouldn't let go of me

"We have to go!"
