The Next Morning...

"Good Morning Celine, come sit--"

"I have to go mompe, sorry I don't want to be late" she looked like a student rushing to leave because her school bus is waiting outside

"Aren't you going to school too?" She asked Deo when Mazekin closed the gate

"Mompe... it's 6:30 in the morning" he said, it is too early to go to school

"Why was she rushing?"

"I don't know"

But he noticed it... she's avoiding him

Mazekin went to a convenience store. She bought 2 chocolate milk and a sandwich. That's her breakfast and she ate them at the school garden

She went inside the school when the sun came out

She was walking the hallway when she saw Dyle inside the classroom.  He's leaning on the armchair, cross arms while looking outside the window

"Dan" she called "this is not your first class"

"Celine" 

"I didn't see you yesterday, where were you?" She leaned on the other armchair, facing him

"I was at the ice cream cafe. I needed to distract myself" he looked at her "How are you?"

"I should be the one asking you. How are you? You looked sleepless"

"I couldn't sleep last night. Every time I closed my eyes, the image of the... of the died body keep--"

"Hey" mazekin held his trembling hands "Why don't go home and rest? You need it"

"Why are you so calm after what happened? What if it was you Celine? What if he pulled that trigger before he got shot?"

"I wasn't the target, it was Crystal"

"Crystal?"

"Yes"

"No wonder she called me last night, she was crying. She told me she had a nightmare too"

"Those guys won't  hurt us anymore. Now I want you to go home and rest. Mompe is there, she cooked a real soup"

"Thank you Celine" 

He grabbed her wrist to pull her for a hug. She hugged him back while tapping his back

"And I'm glad to know that you're ok. I-- hey Deo" he saw him looking at them from the hallway

They let go from the hug

"Did I ruin the moment? I'm sorry"

"No" said Dyle "I was just about to leave"

Dyle left the two of them

He skipped some classes, he went to the school clinic and sleep for 3 hours. He woke up when the bell rang, it's time for lunch

[Cafeteria]

Yong: Did you just woke up?

Kyle: Dyle skipped classes now

Jun: He's a bad boy now

Chan: He's a Bad Boy because he was sleepy? That's funny

Crystal: Hey guys~ 

Her group joined in

Crystal: Celine can I sit there?

Mazekin is not in the mood to argue with her so she just stand to exchange seat with her but--

Maze: Aw!!

Crystal bumped the tray to where her wound is located 

Crystal: oops sorry. Why are you so sensitive?

Again, she ignored her. She's not in the mood

Dyle: Sorry I can't go, I have work later

Crystal: What about you Deo?

Jun: Deo

Dyle noticed that something is off. Deo and Maze are avoiding each other 

'Why?'

Deo: What?

Dyle: Crystal asked you something

Deo: ...um

Kyle: Of course Deo would love to spend time with-- I mean to help you. Right Deo?

Deo: Yeah I'll go with you

Crystal: Really? Thank you Deo

After lunch break, they went to their classes but Mazekin and Yulo skipped again

They're on their way to meet up Kiall, Shaun, and Ben

"Something bothering you Boss?" Yulo asked 

"No" she said "Actually yes... it's Deo"

"What about him? Did he hurt you? You can tell me everything"

"No, it's the opposite. I had a fever last night and he took care of me... then we ended up talking about our exes, I got carried away and I kissed him"

"Okay? What's wrong with that?" He asked

That's not something new for him because he's always with her whenever she goes to a bar and kisses a hot guy. A kiss mean nothing to her, why is she semi-freking out right now?

"I feel like there's something wrong but there's nothing wrong"

"What did you said after the kiss?"

"Nothing. He looked at me with those eyes-- it was awkward for me so I said I'm going to sleep"

"And?"

"And earlier he came up to me and asked me what's the meaning of that kiss"

"What did you say?"

"She said it was nothing" Deo explained everything to Jun

"Nothing? That's too heartless, maybe you just caught her off guard. She panicked and said those words"

"No. I think she regret what she did last night. She's been avoiding me since this morning"

"Deo..."

"It's ok. It's not a big deal to me, I just want to know why she did that. "Nothing" is unacceptable reason. You don't kiss someone just cuz you feel like it"

[Retro Bar, VIP Room]

Ben: Do they have a mark or something?

Yulo: We couldn't tell. They were wearing all black even the mask

Shaun: What if it's a member of Scorpio Lair?

Maze: No I doubt that. And why would Scorpio Lair send someone to kill me? As far as I know, Scorpio Lair and Libero are in good terms

Ben, Shaun, and Kiall exchanged glances 

Maze: Is there something you're not telling me Kiall?

Kiall: last week, their leader and I had a disagreement regarding our payment for their people. He kept insisting about the diamond that you promised

Maze: I did promised him

Kiall: Maze, we lost our diamonds. Did you forgot about raid that happened?

Maze: But you're looking for new diamonds, aren't you?

Kiall: Yes but I need time

Maze: a lie or an excuse could buy you time. It's easier to replace a diamond than a loyal ally

Kiall: Fine. I'll try to talk to him

Shaun: I can do it

Maze: No. Let him do it

Ben: they almost killed each other the last time they talked 

She closed her eyes and let out a sigh, they can see the disappointment on her face

She put her glass down and looked at Kiall "I'll do it. I don't want you to mess this up"

She stood up and tapped Shaun's  shoulder "Send me his number and I will give him a call tomorrow"

"Yes boss"

"Come on Yulo"

And they left the room

"Boss do you want me to go with you tomorrow?"

"No need. I can do it alone but I need you to do something for me "

"What is it?"

"I want you to investigate someone. I want to know everything about him"
