The next morning...

"Jun you alright men? You seemed anxious"

Deo and his friends are sitting on the side of the hallway while waiting for the first bell. They're playing around, making fun of the students that are passing by just like they always do but Jun is not participating this time

He's preoccupied. He's trying his best to remember what happened last night

"Jun"

Deo pushed him "Jun! What's wrong with you?"

"What? Nothing. I just didn't had enough sleep. Don't mind me. I'll just go to the bathroom"

Kyle and Deo just look at each other "He's weird"

On his way to the bathroom... he saw the girl who can answer all his questions 

"Celine!" He ran "Celine!" grabbed her arm, pulled her to a room then locked it "What happened last night?"

"Good Morning to you too"

"Seriously, Celine what happened? I woke up . Don't tell me we--"

"No nothing happened. You did that to yourself"

"What do you mean?"

"Here" She showed him the video 

"...no way"

He couldn't believe he did something like that

"I was too drunk last night?"

"Ahuh"

"Noooo... I don't remember doing that! That's so embarrassing"

He deleted the video before he give the phone back to her

"I deleted it"

"I have a copy"

"Copy?! Why!!" He grabbed her arm but she effortlessly take it off "What do you want from me?" 

"I need your help. It's about Deo"

"What about him?"

"I want you to tell me whatever he tells you. Doesn't matter if it's nonsense,  I wanna know everything"

"Like a spy?"

"Yes like a spy"

"And why would I do that? He's my friend"

"Why would you do it? Maybe because I have a video of you that could--no, that WILL ruin your reputation"

"You're blackmailing me!"

"Yes Jun I am blackmailing you! Now do we have a deal?"

"Can I think about it first?"

"Yeah. Of course. You have 5 seconds"

"What?"

"5"

"Wait!"

"4"

"Seriously"

"3"

"You're unfair!"

"Celine!"

"1"

"OK! FINE!"

"Good choice Mr. "

"Don't say that!"

"No one will know, it's our secret that I will keep as long as you do what I asked you to do"

"You're evil"

She winked "not quite"

She left the room first, Jun had to stay because he don't know how to act in front of Deo but he got to the conclusion that he can't avoid Deo forever. Good thing they have no classes together

 

[Mathematics Class]

She sit next to Deo to make sure that he notice her arm

"Can you take notes for me?" 

"No" he said

"You know why I can't write, right?"

"Fine! You can borrow my notes"

She smiled but had to hide it when he looked at her

"You shouldn't have done that"

"The what?"

"What you did yesterday. Look what happened to you, you think you're a hero to save me?"

"It's not my fault that I have to help because you're weak"

"What did you say?!"

"You heard me"

He's pissed off

"Oh... I almost forgot, I saved you which means you owe me one"

"What do you want me to do? Save you from your enemy too?"

"No I don't need you to do that. I will just give you a simple one"

"Just say it"

"I'm not going to the ball, I want those guys to stay away from me. Scared them"

"Easy"

"I know. It fits you"

"F you"

 

[Cafeteria]

"Deo" she didn't waste any time. She sit at the table and pointed at the guy wearing a bow tie

Deo walked towards that guy to scare him

Kyle is at the food counter

Now it's just Mazekin and Jun at the table

"Hi Jun" 

He look like a kid right now "What"

She gave him her phone "Put your number"

"You're so bossy"

He did it anyways. 

"Done" said Deo "He won't ask you anymore. I told him to spread the word"

"Good Job"

"I don't owe you anymore"

"I wonder, does Celine already have a date?"

"Are you planning to ask her?"

"No! Dyle will"

Chan and Yong are just playing around, they don't really know what Dyle is thinking but the girl who's eavesdropping thought they were serious 

She immediately told her friend "Crystal I heard that Dyle is planning to ask Celine to be his date on the ball"

"Says who?"

"Yong and Chan"

She didn't liked that "but--but Celine obviously likes Deo! She was flirting with him just now! You saw that right?"

"Yeah they were flirting with each other"

And that spread to the whole campus. Some believed it and some didn't, like Dyle. Everyone heard the rumor except Deo and Maze

 

 

[Library]

"You will search this up Deo and you do this one Celine"

Deo secretly looked at her paper "Dyle do you have a problem with me?"

"What?"

"You only gave me 3 keywords"

"Yeah and?"

"You gave her more. Do you think I'm incapable of doing research?"

"No I--"

"Give me more"

"Here just do mine and I'll do yours"

Suddenly Dyle's phone rang so he went outside the library to answer it

"See that? I have more than yours, you weak" Deo told Maze who don't even care

"You can do mines if you want" 

"Deo" Dyle ran back to their table "We have to go now!"

"Wait what happened?"

"Henry"

The 3 of them rushed to the hospital. She's with them because she drove them

 

 

[Hospital]

"Doctor how is he?"

"He's stable now but we have to do the surgery as soon as possible"

"Yes doc"

The doctor left the room and Dyle followed him to ask some questions 

Mazekin just sit on the side while watching Deo

"Hey Henry, wake up already" 

The sound of his voice was too sad, she can feel the guilt he's feeling while looking at his friend

I need your help. We have a big transaction tomorrow but supply isn't enough. Felix is not here.

She sigh "I have to go" 

[Felix House]

The door isn't locked but she heard someone inside reloaded a gun when she opened it

"It's me Mazekin" she said before coming in

He put the gun down and immediately apologized for pointing the gun at her

"Mazekin I didn't know you were coming. You should have told me I could've prepared something for you--"

"Felix" she stopped him "What's going on?"

"What do you mean?"

"You know we need more supplies because of the raid that happened. Why aren't you listening to Kiall?"

"He's not my boss"

"He is until I get back"

"No. You know the reason why I joined Libero! I will not listen to him and I will not accept any orders from him! If you will not work with me I will leave Libero!"

She looked at him with a very serous face

"Are you threatening me?"

He startled. Now he regrets saying those words

"No--sorry Maze I just-- I just don't want you to be far away from me. I-- I want to see you everyday like-- like before. We do it together on the lab right? I just-- I'm very sorry I miss you"

He hugged her tight, she just let him be

"Fine" she pushed him a little to let go from the hug "Let's do it"

Mazekin and Felix went to the lab to make more drugs that are needed for the transaction tomorrow

"I remember those days where we just stay here, spent most of our time inventing a new drug"

"It paid off. That drug is the most in demand now and we are the top supplier"

Felix used to work for one of Libero's top competitor. He makes drugs for them and they give him protection, house, cars and a lot of money. He was satisfied with all that until he met her 

She asked him to join Libero and without hesitation he accepted it. He left them to be with her

"Thank you Mazekin"

"Believe me, I love doing this with you but you gotta understand my situation. It's too risky for me. Do you want me to get caught?"

He shook his head "No. Of course not. I'm sorry"

"It's alright. If you miss me, you know where to find me"

"I can visit you? Anytime?"

"Anytime"

It took them hours to finish what they had to do. She was supposed to drop by the bar but because of exhaustion she went straight to the apartment 

"Hi"

"!" She almost dropped the glass of water "What are you doing there?"

Dyle pointed at his coffee "I'm drinking. I'm surprised you didn't notice me here"

"Cuz it's 1:00 am, you should be asleep. Why are you still up?"

"I just finished my shift"

"You work now? Why?"

"Well... I'm a scholar"

"Ooh~ you're poor"

"I'm not rich" he reworded it

"Yeah you're poor"

"I don't like your wording. Anyways, I work at the ice cream cafe it's 3 blocks away from here. You can visit me"

"Why would I do that?"

"Huh?" Her bluntness astounded him "Cuz... I don't know maybe you want some cupcakes? we have good cupcakes there"

"Will I get it for free?"

"No. But I can give you a discount"

"Sure I'll go"

"Thanks?" He couldn't believe it

'Did I sound desperate for offering a discount just to get a visit?'

He scratch his head while smiling "I thought you're rich, why do you want a discount?"

"Rich? I'm a scholar like you"

"No you're not"

"What made you think so?"

"Because you have poor grades"

"Ouch?"

"I mean you're not that smart"

"Wow"

"Sorry... not academically gifted?"

"Just stop. It's only getting worse"

They both laugh 

"I'm afraid the next thing you'll say would really hurt me" she said jokingly 

"I tried to reword it"
