Dyle's POV

I was too young when my parents were murdered, I was too young to live alone, and I was too young to hate the world 

I lived on the street for almost 2 years, I was homeless but I met Mr. Ivan

I told him my story, and I guess I got his sympathy

He adopted me the same year he lost his son. And like me, he was also seeking for revenge 

Years later he told me that he is part of the government secret agent then he recruited me

At the age of 11, I became the youngest to be ever trained. And at the age of 13, I did my 1st mission and I became the best rookie 

After 2 years of being an agent, they included me on a hard mission. I went with Mr. Ivan and our mission was to catch Buffalu but we failed and Mr. Ivan got killed

I lost someone important to me again

I was alone again

Because of what happened, my emotion became unstable - reason why I failed my next mission and the next and the next until they decided to give me a 1 year vacation to help me clear my mind but instead, I used that year to do some research about the famous Buffalu

I searched everything about him. I was wrong when I thought he was bad because he was evil. He needs to be locked in or else many innocent people will get killed! As I digged in deeply, I found out that his Syndicate also killed my parents

My dad wasn't a bus driver, he was working for Buffalu as a truck driver that distribute drugs. When he quit, they killed him

Buffalu killed every important person in my life! I was so eager to get my revenge 

I asked the Boss to assign me on a mission to capture Buffalu but that time he went missing because of Libero

Libero was the raising syndicate that time. The name Mazekin dela Pierce became popular and they started to think that Buffalu is died

They dropped everything they planned to catch Buffalu,  they focused on catching Libero so I told the boss that I want to continue on the 'Buffalu case' even they think it was  useless

I was the only one that believed in it because I was holding on to my promise to get my revenge 

He's an evil person, he can't die quickly 

I know deep down in my heart... he's still alive 

Since I researched about everything about Buffalu, I knew about his sons. He had 3 sons. 1 from his legit wife but he died, 1 from his ex-wife but was missing, and 1 from a women he got pregnant... that son is Deo Robinson

I request to be assigned as a spy, to spy on Buffalu's son. They were ok with it but they call me for a mission every now and then when they need help

I know the time will come that Buffalu will take Deo to make him continue what he started

The time that I invested paid off 

Because I was right... the killer is back

"Hann"

"Pollo" 

"It's been a long time since I saw you. I heard what you did! Great job my friend" 

We did a bro fist

"How are you?" He asked

"l'll be done soon. My assignment is almost over"

After we capture Buffalu tonight, I won't go back to being Dyle anymore

I can't see the people Dyle made memories with 

"You don't look happy"

I feel bittersweet 

"I'm just tired"

"Well, rest. We have a big mission tonight"

"I will, after I visit our detainee"

We detained Mazekin dela Pierce in our headquarters. She's one of the most wanted syndicate leader in the country, I guess we can't take the risk to put her on the city jail

I went downstairs to where they detained her, I sit at the table patiently waiting for them to bring her here

And when she came...we looked at each other

I don't know if it's appropriate to smile, I'm afraid to be misunderstood. She might think I'm happy that we captured her

"What do you want?" She sit

"Nothing, just visiting you"

Ok she didn't believe that

"Should I call you Celine or Mazekin?" I asked her

"I'm calling you Hann" she said

"Then I'll call you Mazekin"

She didn't say anything

Looking at her right now, she's different from Celine

It's so weird, like this is the 1st time I've met her

"Um... how's your wounds? I heard you were tortured"

"You heard?" She raised her arms to show me her bruises and some of it have bandage on it "Now you see it"

I tried to smile "So that's what being tortured looks like huh?"

"Could be worse"

Those eyes...

That's not how she looked at me before

"Why did you saved me yesterday, Agent Hann?"

"Oh. Because..."

Because I was stupid!

I wasn't thinking straight yesterday, when I saw a guy pointed his gun at her I immediately blocked her and I ended up getting shot 

I could've just pushed her to the side but no! The dumb me wanted to get shot 

"Whatever the reason is... Thank You"

"You're welcome" I smiled "By the way, when did you found out about me being a secret agent?"

"I just got curious about you so I asked Yulo to do some background check on you"

"And he found out? How is that possible? They cleared my record--"

"Your past record was kinda off so that gave it away"

So both of us were just pretending to each other?

"I see"

"Do you have something else to say? I need to rest"

"Alright. I'll let you rest"

I went back to the training room with a smile on my face. I'm so glad we had that talk

She doesn't looked mad and I got no threats from her. That's good

That means she doesn't hate me

"Agent Hann"

"Sir Marc"

"How's your wound?"

"Better now sir"

"That's great. I saw you talking to Mazekin dela Pierce earlier. Do you know that we tried to talk to her earlier but she never responded a word?"

Oh

"Really?"

I feel special for a second

"Yes. That's why I need you to do something. Talk to her, convince her"

"On what Sir?"

He told me everything

"Tell her that"

"Yes sir"

"Agent Hann, you need to convince her. We need their help on this mission"

"I understand sir"

I went back to convince Mazekin

"Miss me already, Agent Hann?"

Of course she'll ask me that, I was just here earlier

"This is important... this is about Buffalu"

"What about him?"

"We have to capture him and we need Libero to cooperate in this operation. The president--"

"The president is not our boss" she said "The answer is No"

"Mazekin we will offer you your freedom. We won't charge you of any case--"

"Freedom?" she smirked "You think I can't escape?"

"Here? Of course not" now it's my turn to smirk "I won't let you. I'll be with you 24/7. I will treat you like a girlfriend I'm obsessed with"

"Funny"

I put my serious face

"But jokes aside... Libero can take a risk, we will definitely give you a good fight. I mean, we're not police we're agents"

"We'll see how it goes then"

I tried to keep myself calm 

I don't understand 

We both want the same thing. Why can't we just join force?

"Deo will be there..."

I said without thinking and when I looked at her...

She's already looking at me, waiting for me to continue 

I got her attention!!

"We are ordered to capture Buffalu, die or alive. If he fights back, we have to kill him and everyone on his side even the innocent Deo"

I think I hit the right button 

Deo is her weakness 

I'm sorry Deo I had to use you

"If you're there, you'll get to make sure that he will be safe"

"What are the conditions?" She asked

Finally!!

"Don't smile like an idiot"

"I wasn't"

"What are the conditions?" She repeat

"Ok. You, along with Libero will join force with us. We will be allies during the mission. You are all safe with us. We got your back and you should do the same. If the mission becomes successful we will let you go"

"Deal"

"Great"

I put the phone on the table

"You need to tell them now because we will do it tonight"

She dialed a number

"Put it on speaker" I told her 

She rolled her eyes first before she clicked the Speaker button 

It rang 2 times before someone picked it up

"Hello?" It's a guy

"It's me" she said

"Mazekin! Where are you?!!"

"I need you to prepare Libero. We are going against Buffalu tonight"

"Alright"

"...with the help of the government secret agents"

"What?" He doesn't sound amuse of what he heard "Secret Agents? Why? I don't know them, I don't trust them"

"It's ok. Just trust me"

"Maze..."

"Sooner or later we have to face Buffalu, why not now? They're willing to join force with us"

"But Libero can do it alone"

"They can't, that's why they need us"

"Why do we need to help them? What's in it for us?"

"My freedom. They have no intention to put me on a city jail and I don't think it'll be easy to get me out of here"

"Hold on" she said "Someone wants to talk to you"

I cleared my throat *ehem* "Hi this is Agent Hann, thank you for cooperating. I will reach out to this number later for the location where we should all meet up"

I was waiting for his answer but

Call End.

He hang up on me

"Did he--"

"He heard you"

"That was rude"

"Do you think we're nice and sweet?"

Right, I forgot... they're the bad guys

"Well..." I stood up "Thank you for your decision"

"Don't make me regret it"

"We won't"

I went upstairs with the good news

"She did? That's great!" He proudly tapped me on my shoulder "I knew it, I knew you can convince her"

We started preparing

All the guns, bombs, and the plans - they're all set

"Agent Hann"

"Sir Marc"

"Time to bring her out"

"Yes sir"

I went downstairs to pick her up

"Are you all set?" I asked her  

She's wearing all black outfit but not the same outfit like ours

"I'm all set"

"Alright. Let's go"

She didn't follow me, she's in front of me

We are in the middle of the hallway when she stopped and faced me

"Agent Hann" she said "I have a favor to ask"

"What is it?"

"I know that you're on the job but can you make Deo's safety your first priority? You don't have to worry about Buffalu, I promise to make him surrender"

"Don't worry. I will make sure he's safe"

"Thank you"

"No need to thank me. He's a friend of mine too"

I walked ahead of her but

"Dyle"

I stopped and faced her "What else?"

"Stay Alive"

That made me smile "You too, Celine"
