| Better Late Than Never |
A Familiar StrangerHappily eating the dolsot bibimbap that Kwang Soo had brought over for breakfast, the two had been talking non-stop, sitting side-by-side, as if making up for all the time they could've spent together if only they had the courage to confront their feelings sooner.
Observing how the younger man was spoiling her: making her coffee, serving her food and even pulling the chair out for her as she sits, she wonders. “Kwang Soo, how did you know you like me?”
A little caught off guard, he reaches for her hand, trying to find the right words to describe his thoughts. “Remember the first time you appeared on the show?” He squeezes her hand so that she looks at him.
“What show?”
He smiles, the dimple in his left cheek appearing. “Our show, Running Man.”
She nods in understanding and signals him to continue. “We were teammates. You were wearing heels, and I had the weirdest haircut-“
“Ya, that haircut was adorable!” She argues.
He chuckles and shakes his head. “Arasso, but I know that even you found that haircut a little unusual. Looking back at it, I have no idea why I thought-“
“Love?”
“Yeah?” Hearing his new nickname once again, he smiles shyly to himself. He could feel Ji Hyo squeezing his hand.
“The story?”
"Oh, right."
Finally recovering from the slight distraction, he continues. “That day we had to jump off into the pool from that really really high diving board. Up ‘til this day I still can’t believe I did that.” Ji Hyo leans her head on his arm, committing his story to memory.
