A Familiar Stranger
Looking at Ji Hyo, her eyelids are closed. They were puffed up. She cried too much. But there wasn't any question that he cried a lot himself. If it can be helped, he promised himself that he shouldn't make Ji Hyo cry again. Her eyes do not deserve tears in them unless they're happy ones.
Sometimes, in the middle of an argument, she gets this look on her face. And it distorts her features into an expression of pure hurt. And it breaks my heart. Everytime. Because I was the one who put it there. I don't deserve Song Ji Hyo. She's too good for me. She always will be. And I'm terrified of what will happen on the day when she realizes that it's true.
Song Ji Hyo's heart can't be broken. Not by Kwang Soo. Not by anyone. He'll make sure of that. Laying down beside her, he kisses her on the forehead. "I love you, noona." Closing his eyes, he drifts off to sleep as he thinks of all the ways he could make her happy.
"I love you too, Kwang Soo ya." She whispers as he feels her kiss him on the lips.
