A Familiar StrangerUnstably balancing a plate of eggs and a mug of hot coffee with both hands, Ji Hyo frantically sprints to the dining table to answer her phone. "Hi." She breathes, finally placing the hot drink on the table.
"Hi, Love." Kwang Soo greets as he settles the phone against a jar of sugar. "What's for breakfast?" He asks as if they were going to share the breakfast together.
It's been nearly a week since Ji Hyo had started her drama filming in London. She's always been laser-focused on her acting, but more so now than usual. As much as possible, the director didn't want to prolong their stay overseas, the trip to Europe had already pushed back their schedule by a a whole lot and they didn't want to delay the release of the drama any longer than needed.
Nowadays, Ji Hyo also hasn't been getting much sleep. She's always pre-occupied with reading the script from page to page from the moment she wakes up to the second she falls asleep. She would always carry the now wrinkled booklet everywhere she goes to the point that Dong Wook teases her about her 'dedication to the craft'. He didn't know it was possible to memorize the whole script off by heart in such a short amount of time.
Ji Hyo hums, she's in a good mood. Lately, the filming has been smooth sailing and if it continues on like this, she may even get home to Kwang Soo sooner than expected. "Just eggs." She answers as she blows on the cup of coffee, the steam rising into the air as she stirs the white mug.
"Just eggs???" Kwang Soo exclaims as if Ji Hyo had committed a heinous crime. "Ya. You have no one to cook for you for one second and you're eating like this?" He jokes, yet partly he was also concerned. Even though he wanted her to come home as soon as possible, Kwang Soo doesn't want her to fall sick. Eveytime they would talk, he doesn't miss the fact that Ji Hyo hasn't been eating well. Her plate of food has been consistently filled with only eggs, toast and sometimes, if she has a minute to spare, there was also bacon.
The actress has been working harder than usual that she's not even taking care of herself. She has always been a workaholic and if it wasn't for Kwang Soo, she would've been eating rice and kimchi everytime she came home.
As soon as he started scolding, she already knew the drill. She knows his weakness. Kwang Soo may lead some people to believe that he is harsh and reckless, similar to the character he portrays on the show, but in real life, he's almost comparable to cotton candy. He's soft and sweet, easy enough to melt in her hands. And as stupid as it may seem, Ji Hyo knows that her good old aegyo would do the trick
