A Time to Explain

Forgotten Fighters

"Alright now that the gang's all here, you might as well start explaining as to why I heard what I heard," D.va states almost acting like a queen.

King gets red in the face from this remark and says "Don't..."

"Save it, this is a moment for us to explain why had the ideas that we had, not to complain about how others act," D.mon interrupts.

King utters a small whimper, but no one notices.

"WewereunhappywithhowweweretreatedandduetothatwewerewantingtogetsomemorepopularityandbecomenoticedbysomeofyourfanD.va," Overlord says speaking way too fast that there was no space for the words to connect together and make sense.

Casino flashes Overlord with a dirty look due to how useless and annoying that response was and attempted to translate, "What my partner is trying to say was that we saw that you were stealing all the potential fame that we could be getting, and we were trying to get our fame amounts to equal with yours, either by raising our fame which doesn't even exist as you steal it, or by reducing your fame level to match ours," Casino elaborates.

D.va stutters, unsure of to do. "What do you mean that I have more fame than you," D.va asks.

Casino facepalms as he is surprised about how ignorant D.va had been even though he knew that she heard them talking just tad while earlier.

D.mon marches up to face D.va to tell her face to face; "What we mean is this, we do the same things that you do but you get all the credit, and we feel like we aren't getting the credit that we deserve, people see you as a great hero to the extent that you star as the protagonist of the movie Hero of my Storm, but for us, we don't even have a single role in the movie, not even as pointless side characters," D.mon tells D.va before walking back to her seat.

"Oh, so all of you are planning on stealing my fame just so that you can be just as famous as me," D.va accuses "Sorry, but it's my fame, if you want some fame, then maybe you should have thought to live stream our fights before I did, if you wanted some more fame, then maybe I shouldn't have had to clean up after your mess, and finally if you want some fame then maybe you should've held off an omnic attack on your own, I play to win with all of my fame,"

"How dare you accuse the King of such a horrible act, The King would never steal from his own people," King defends himself. King then gets smacked in the face rather violently by D.va.

Before King could complain about not having an ice pack to numb out the pain, D.mon decided to speak. "We aren't trying to steal from your fame, we just wanted to be acknowledged for what we do, we all have a reason as to why we joined MEKA and the four of us are having a hard time trying to accomplish that goal due to how you have been absorbing all the publicity, for example; I just wanted to show off that while I might not look the part, I am strong on the inside and on the outside," D.mon eleborates inspiring the other pilots to share their life stories.

"I joined MEKA to redeem myself to my parents, from all the F1 racing that I did, as they kinda disowned me due to how much I wanted to go fast, and I felt that if I had returned to my home, and protected my parents, they would view me differently. Right now ,however, they still view me as disowned, and they see you ,D.va, as their daughter from another family, so I am asking you D.va, please just let us do what we need to do to make ourselves known, and allow me to fulfil my goal," Casino pleaded.

"I joined MEKA because I had always been pretty shy and nervous to show off my abilities. I felt like by joining MEKA that maybe I could show off my abilities without me getting scared. It's why I find that my mech rather suits me because I don't need to risk myself in battling the omnic, I just gotta do what I gotta do to help everyone out," Overlord elaborated. King looks down at the ground nervously, unsure if he should tell the truth or if he should just make something up. Casino gave King an expectant look, and that finally got King to make up his mind.

"I joined MEKA to be able to improve my skills to a level that I could finally easily defeat you like the rest of my competition, D.va, ever since the Player Unknown's Battlegrounds 2 tournament I saw you as a roadblock, I constantly was trying to find every game tournament for some of the most obscure games out there, but no matter what, you would always be there. When I got my letter of invitation I thought, that I could be better than you as maybe piloting a mech could improve my skills at video games," King reluctantly says "To sum it all up, back then, I saw you as a roadblock/minor rival, but now I see you as what I should've seen you, as a true rival, and as your rival I gotta figure out how to become better, and how am I going to be able to show the world that I can improve if you keep suking up all the attention. How else can I ‘raise my APM’ if no one would notice my APM in the first place,”. D.va smiles at how King quoted one of her lesser known lines. D.va then takes a few moments to think about what she heard as she was very overwhelmed about how willing her own squadmates were to open up about some of the most embarrassing parts of their life stories.

"I've made up my mind, but first, it's time I share my story," D.va starts.

Author: D.va no, this story is not about your story as it's already published, canonized and able to be read on Blizzard’s website and I don't want to get sued, so please do me a favor and don't, just go with what is currently planned, a story about 4 characters that no one cares about, and their quest to become recognized, don't go off of that blueprint.

"Ok, I will not share my story, but I will share my opinion about the situation at hand as well my suggestion to help the rest of you," D.va starts.
