I do these ever so often and end up deleting them after I do an update, this time I think I will leave it for readers who stumble upon this story sometime after I post and don’t understand what kind of fic writer I am.

You don’t have to read this if you don’t care, casual readers will read when I post and wait for the next without thinking of how long I have been gone, some people want to know what happened… here is my story, feel free to skip and wait for my next chapter, sorry if I got your hopes up.

Every time I do one of these my comments are flooded with the most supporting messages, in fact, and I said this in a message to my Spanish readers (translated by MamamooMemes, Links at the bottom of this post) saying that my readers, through all of my stories are always the most supportive readers I could have ever come across, I think it is the Mamamoo fandom, example being I’ve been writing a short fic for Legacies (Hosie) on the side because updates are so short it takes about an hour to write… and I’ve already received a negative comment on it where I have never received one on any of my mamamoo fics. Don’t worry it wasn’t horrible, just a comparison.

Anyways! Just a warning I go on rants and tangents that make these longer than they need to be so bear with me, but also feel free to stop reading if you want.

So, it has been just over a month since my last update and I always hear that I don’t owe an explanation, but I feel like I do, especially for those loyal readers who have been with me even before Journey started (two freaking years ago).

2020 has brought a lot of changes to people’s lives, for me the changes were… masks and they cancelled the only buses in my neighbourhood. What I mean by this and I have mentioned before is that I am an essential employee, I wish that meant something more Nobel, unfortunately I work for a “Superstore”, and besides safety measures, my work life on account of hours and such did not change, in fact they grew. So, where a lot of people found themselves with a lot of time on their hands, I did not. And of course, what just passed was Christmas which was my reason for absence this last month. I live in Ontario and we knew a second lock down was coming, so my work decided to accept double the amount of product they usually would, because if we have it out there someone is going to buy it, meaning it was expected of my team to work twice as hard to get it out. I work at 5 in the morning, I bike almost 8km to work every day and then back again after working eight and a half hours, the last few weeks of December before Christmas we switched hours to 3am. On top of this I don’t sleep well, I get about 4-5 hours of sleep a night, and top that off with working 5-6 days a week it gets tiring. There were a few days where I made myself actually, physically sick and had to remain in bed for the night. (I bike in the snow too)
