After bickering for a few minutes in the car, they finally arrived at the mall.

Hanbyul shifted in her seat after she unbuckled the seatbelt, huffing as she fixed the hem of her dress.

“Must be exhausting being a girl, huh?” Jaemin commented from his side, getting out right after to dodge her lethal glare.

The door to her side closed shut with a firm noise as she crossed her arms, tilting her head at him, “We’re escaping this mall in 2 hours, you get me?”

Unable to understand, he mirrored her actions, “Why?”

Sighing, she looked down as she dusted the dress, “No offense to your mom but I despise wearing short skirts.” Hanbyul looked back up to see him giggling.

“Yeah you look ridiculous.” He lied through his teeth, finding every bit of his insides spinning as she turned red with annoyance. ing adorable, he decided.

“Die.” She spat as she strode off in front of him, heading to the only jewellery store she knew.

“Oh, Mrs. Na.” One of the shop workers greeted her, making Hanbyul’s skin grow goosebumps. Mrs. Na.

“Uh, hi.” She replied with an awkward smile, thinking that there was no need to correct it.

“Oh hey, give us the simplest pair of rings please.” Jaemin strutted into the store behind her with the most charming smile, blinding a rookie female worker that he decided would be the best flirt material to annoy Hanbyul.

“Oh? The simplest?” Hanbyul read her tag that read Nana, gripping onto her bag strap even tighter as she watched Jaemin flirting with her.

“Yes, the simplest design but with the priciest diamond.” Jaemin bade through his dazzling grin, making the young girl giggle and the senior worker drop her head-- embarrassed in front of Hanbyul.

Pacing around the medium sized store, Nana couldn’t hide her grin when she would catch his eyes on her everytime she stole a glance-- believing that she had his full attention.

Hanbyul kept her serene look, hiding her emotions perfectly under her usual composed image as the giddy girl put out three sets of wedding rings on the crystal-clear glass counter in front of them.

“Ah, amazing choices we have here.” His words sounded sweet to Nana as he offered her a smile yet again—receiving a loud giggle from the girl.

Hanbyul eyed the rings with her laser eyes, noting that the sets were not appealing to her taste. Her gaze shifted back up to the salesgirl to ask her for a different set, but her attention was solely on Jaemin.

Glancing a bit to her right as she inhaled a deep breath, Hanbyul gathered all her sanity to call him, “Babe.”

It would be best for them to act lovey dovey in public, she reminded herself.

Jaemin was stunned, she could see it in his enticing orbs. “Yes?” Nana could feel his attention for her was cut off 100 percent.

“You can choose whichever you want. I don’t know much about rings.” She flashed the sheepiest smile before turning to bow at the workers—thanking them for the service before leaving the store.

Jaemin just blinked, still awestruck that she called him babe. He knew the voice would ring in his mind for long.

“So which one would you choose?” the young girl asked in a high pitch, wanting his attention back.

“uh.” He exhaled, thinking for a second before glancing around for the plainest silver design in sight. “That one.” He pointed before nodding at the salesgirl, “I wanna see that.”

Nana took the set to him, offering to put the ring on his finger but got rejected as he grabbed the ring out of her hand—putting it on his own. “Yes. I want this.” He smiled genuinely this time when he decided that it had the perfect size for Hanbyul and him.

“Mr. Na, are you sure?” the senior saleswoman asked this time, ready to check it out for him.

Confused, he raised an eyebrow, “Why?”

Sheepish, the woman scratched her head, “It’s too plain, don’t you think?”

Chuckling, he nodded, “Fancy things wont even suit her.” He came closer to whisper, “She completes a look, not the other way around.” Jaemin backed with a smile, “The ring’s included.”

The saleswoman fought a smile, thinking that he was totally into Hanbyul. “I can’t even get mad that you don’t buy the priciest set, Mr. Na.” She handed him the bag, “If you need a few more things for her, please come again.”

Grabbing the bag, he grinned boyishly, “Thank you.”

“And have a happy marriage.” She bade, making him blush silently.

“I’m hungry.” Jaemin said from behind her, snapping her out of her train of thoughts. She was eyeing some heels a few stores next to the jewellery shop when he suddenly came.

“how did you find me?” She asked, taken aback that he didn’t take long to buy the rings.

He shrugged, “No one looks as uncomfortable as you are.” His gaze fell oh her dress again, making her roll her eyes. Of course he wouldnt admit that he would always see her in the middle of any crowd-- she was that eye-catching.

“Fine then let’s eat.” She said, thinking that she needed food to stand his existence for the next hour.

Soon, they entered a restaurant with quite a lot of customers. 

"Order whatever seems nice for 2 people." She said, watching the waitress pour them plain water while stealing glances at the couple. 

"Um, are you Shin Hanbyul?" The waitress suddenly asked, causing them to look at each other before Hanbyul nodded timidly, "Uh yes, I am."

The girl suddenly squealed as she snapped the tumbler in her hand shut, leaning down to whisper, "If you dont mind, we would like to take your picture for the restaurant."

Jaemin blinked at Hanbyul as the waitress looked expectantly at them. "Of us?"

"Yes!" Hanbyul flinched at her pitch as Jaemin chuckled. 

"W-why?" She managed to ask softly. 

"The two of you are now the hottest couple in the city-- if not in the nation." She giggled to herself as Jaemin noticed people were whispering around them-- showing interest. 

Hanbyul gaped at the information but decided to just nod, "Aha. Sure then." With that, the girl quickly snatched a polaroid camera from the counter, aiming the lens at the couple, "Okay, get closer." She instructed with her hand as Jaemin took it as a chance to . 

At the count of 1 2 3, he quickly leaned in to place a kiss on her cheek. 

The sound on the camera matched the sudden surge of blood to Hanbyul's face.

"What the-" She was about to curse him when her mind blanked once she spun her head to him-- taken aback from how close his face was. 

"Yay! What a lovely couple. I'll come back with the best menu for 2 soon. Hehe." The girl said before vanishing into the kitchen with the camera followed by a sharp sound of her squeal and the gradually louder sound of the
