Chapter 13 

By the time the weekend rolled around Chanyeol was beat, he had like a million and one press statement after their night out, they just wouldn’t give them a break. Baekhyun hadn’t left the palace since that day either. Chanyeol was glad Baekhyun could rest without prying but it didn’t stop the public curiosity. Chanyeol just wanted to be at home with Baekhyun he was working on getting closer. Spending time with Baekhyun was doing him good. It wasn’t like they could keep it a secret, it didn’t take long for the public to know Baekhyun was taking a leave from the hospital. People were such gossipmongers, how he wished they could just give him a break. He’d nearly lost it as one occasion, But Jongdae was by his side to support him.  It was after the last press Chanyeol had made a few calls before speaking to his parent, 

‘That’s wonderful Chanyeol.... when are you both going?’ his mother asked, ‘It may be a bit late to call it a honeymoon, 

‘Honey...., If I even correctly you insisted on are the second holiday a honeymoon.’ 

‘I was tensing... I wanted to go away after the wed, ‘She held up her hands, ‘I know...I know Baekhyun was starting at the hospital and Chanyeol you had your own duties. But now the two of you can be alone together. It might just do you both a world of good.’ His mother had a heart of gold.  

‘Umma what are you insinuating?’ Chanyeol asked. 

‘Nothing at all, how long will you be gone for? 

‘A week or two...maybe longer we’ll see how we get on first.’ Chanyeol told him, he stood up as the door open. ‘Baekhyun....’ 

Chanyeol mother turned, ‘Good morning dear, come sit down and have breakfast with us.’  Baekhyun took the seat beside Chanyeol his eyes not leaving Baekhyun. 

‘You feeling okay...?’ Chanyeol asked softly. ‘If you want to go back to bed, I can bring you up something...’ He kind of like bringing Baekhyun breakfast in bed. 

‘Hmm.. I'm okay.’ Baekhyun assured him, his dark circle is very visible to the Chanyeol eye. ‘really I'm feeling heaps better. Did I wake you last night?’ Baekhyun asked, he was true he wasn’t sleeping well at night, he’d been having a lot of nightmares which he couldn’t seem to talk about.  Chanyeol would sometimes pretend to be still sleeping or if it was too must he’d rub Baekhyun back. Baekhyun usually felt really guilty for it, As Chanyeol was only beginning to share the room with him, he wasn’t avoiding him as he uses too. Baekhyun found himself rubbing at his hairline, Chanyeol knew what lay beneath that hairline. He only he could say I'm the cause of that scar, a past Baekhyun had very little memories off. 

‘We need to fill up that stomach of yours.’... Chanyeol mother turned to the maid, ‘please let them know they can serve breakfast.’ The maid bowed and left them. Chanyeol was just telling us about your trip, Are you excited? I know I would be.’ she asked. Baekhyun turned to Chanyeol and back, Chanyeol hadn’t mentioned anything to him. But Baekhyun couldn’t help but nod his head and the queen.

After breakfast they returned to the bedroom, Chanyeol following right behind his hand on neck, ‘I’m sorry I should have mentioned it to you before telling my parents. I was thinking with your time off we could...’ What were the right words to say, he was getting better, he had to, but it was still hard to get us too, ‘ I know our marriage was arranged,’  Chanyeol took hold of Baekhyun’s hands, ‘it may not have been ideal for you. ‘ Baekhyun couldn’t help but laugh at Chanyeol. ‘I want us to work Baekhyun, I really care about you,’ He had wanted to say love but was unable to say the right words, still it shocked  Baekhyun ‘no pressure just think about it?’
