Chapter 5
Baby, We'll Be Alright
“Three out of five!” Donghae exclaimed, holding out his fist for another game of rocks, papers, and scissors.
Hyukjae sighed. It is almost 4 am, but Donghae would not just give up. He was so tired.
“Please?” Donghae insists.
Hyukjae groans. Donghae forces one of Hyukjae’s hands into a fist.
“Hyukkie,” Donghae sang. “Hyuk-ah...Eunhyuk-ah.”
Hyukjae rolls over, and groans something incoherent. He resolves to keep his eyes shut.
“My love that is Lee Hyukjae,” Donghae croons into his ear.
“Be quiet,” Hyukjae snaps, and ducks out of Donghae’s reach.
Donghae chuckles and snakes his arm around Hyukjae’s tiny waist.
“Come on,” Donghae pleaded.
“Donghae. I. Won,” Hyukjae states, emphasizing each word. “You give yours if you want more children later on. We’ll find another surrogate.”
Donghae whines from the back of his throat. “I’m healthier.”
“Lies,” Hyukjae cuts him off.
“I won’t talk to you anymore,” Donghae threatens.
Hyukjae shrugs one shoulder. “Okay. Do that. I’ll raise my own kid by myself.”
Donghae suddenly slaps Hyukjae’s arm. The latter cries out in surprise. Donghae starts to hit him several times to the point that Hyukjae had to roll off the bed.
“What the hell is wrong with you?” Hyukjae grabs a pillow and hits Donghae with it.
“Ah!” Donghae yelped. He suddenly laughs, and raises his arms for defense.
“What?” Hyukjae prods. He throws the pillow down, knowing that Donghae would not be able to keep in what’s on his mind.
“I just...feel like I won’t be his or her dad,” Donghae admits, finally calming down. “What if they only love you? That’s not fair!”
Hyukjae starts to laugh. It was the kind of joy that starts in his eyes, and spreads to the rest of his face, and his body. Hyukjae falls on the bed, his shoulders shaking from the effort.
“It’s not funny!” Donghae snaps. He smacks the side of Hyukjae’s face.
Hyukjae reaches up, encircling his arms around Donghae’s neck. He pulls him closer, and meets his eyes. “You’ll get to love them too. You’ll have the chance to raise them, and be their dad.”
Donghae rolls his eyes. “I can’t believe we decided this through a game.”

Before I was born, my parents tried their best to keep their marriage a secret. The SUJU uncles would always tell me that they struggled to cover after them. They would keep them apart when they have to stand together, and even go as far as feeling them up so people would think it was just their normal antics.
Donghae sat down on a chair, wiping the sweat from his face. Their Los Angeles concert had just ended, but he still feels so high from the energy he and the fans exuded. Every Super Show was always so exhilarating. Nothing could ever compare to that feeling. He loves his fans sincerely, but he knew that they could also turn their back away from him if they learn the truth about him and Hyukjae.
The other members start to get dressed, but he stays like that, hunched over with his elbows on his knees, and his chin resting on his clasped
