Jessica stood idly across Yuri’s room along with Sooyoung that resembled a sitting duck. Jessica nodded at her friend, it is the time wherein she needed a small talk with Yuri. And Sooyoung is the most considerate friend they all could have despite her protest of their decision to continue even the boundaries have closed down. Sooyoung gave her shoulders a little squeeze. And Jessica reacted to it fondly. A tear has fallen, the will to even appear strong is gone. 

“I can’t Soo. I won’t.”  

“If she’s tired Sica, let her go.”

The rise and fall of her chest remained calm and beautiful. Jessica found her security in those arms that are currently hugging the gift that she gave Yuri a few years back.  The Pomeranian’s once gentle eyes that used to poke her with loving affection reached through her soul like a negative entity. The dog’s eyes appear beady, evil and somehow knowing that the owner’s pain must probably come from the lady in front of her. Jessica took it whole, nodded and eventually whispered Hani’s name.

“Hani~yah.” She crouched down to the dog, offered her right hand to pet Hani who eventually had leaned into her touch. Her heart lightened up a bit, at least Hani had forgiven her. Even if it is too much of a delusion to even ask for her forgiveness in the first place. But Jessica wanted to.

Their little interaction had been cut off with Yuri’s movement, the dog huffing to go back to Yuri’s arms. And Jessica didn’t notice the streak of tears already flowing from her eyes. She took the initiative to take Hani in her embrace and settles the dog on the other side of the bed. Taking the blanket to cover her body, she tried to stay a mere 5 inches away from Yuri and just stayed there for her vision to cloud it with her beauty for even a short time.

“Sica, come here.” Yuri’s sleepy voice echoed in the doldrums of her thoughts. Jessica swiftly reacted, taking in Yuri’s embrace with glee.

“How long have you been here?” Yuri’s embrace raced through the tightness, probably of missing her too damn much. In this kind of forbidden love, wherein the world only sees Jessica as the backstabbing and the gold digger, she could only come back and regain her emotional and mental problems right here in the arms of the person she loves so much. 

“For about two hours? Or more?”

“Why didn’t you come in?”

“I forgot my key. I even bought a cake for your birthday. Its past twelve and I am supposed to surprise you.” Jessica felt guilty. Her head is playing games with her and eventually won the battle if she should act like a teenager for once. This surprise whatnot won’t do matureness justice on their 30 years old brain. But she did it anyway, rendering her time with Yuri to be cut down

“I hope you did.”

“Happy Birthday my Love. I’m not perfect and we aren’t either but I want to love you forever Yuri.” Jessica’s greeting came out as a plea.
