What are We
I Like the You They Can’t SeeI fell asleep in the library waiting for Jinyoung, he was suppose to help me study for my history exam. Though, these days he seems much busier than usual. I couldn't help but feel a little disappointed. I felt a slight tickle on my side, my whole body bounced up. It was Jinyoung who tried to contain his laugh.
"Hey sleepy head." I pouted as he sat in front of me. "I wouldn't have fallen asleep if someone came on time." Jinyoung smiled, "Look, I'm sorry, can I make it up with ice cream." A smile arose and I just nodded. For the next five hours we studied. Honestly, Korean history was the most interestingly complicated subject to learn, and it didn't help that I wasn't one hundred percent focus. Every time Jinyoung spoke all I could do was look at his lips. Is it weird that I find them...mesmerizing. "Alright! I think we should stop here today." I nodded looking down. Jinyoung was hurrying as if he was in a rush and I wondered why? Normally he'd wait, but these days he comes and goes.
I didn't even get to ask him about my penguin. I began to close my books. Thinking about it, would us living together really work? I already feel like I'm becoming clingy, and he's stated that I'm not his type. What if I step over my boundaries and do something stupid.
He's probably already gotten someone. Maybe that's why I don't see him all that often anymore. I've gotten slim over the year...all thanks to him, and now people pay attention to me a little bit more, but I still find his company the best. I dragged my bag as I got up, walking outside the library. My phone began to vibrate.
It was a text from Jinyoung. I smiled clicking on the newly received message. Mr. Fluffy Buns is A okay! I giggled responding, that's not his name. Who names a penguin that? I placed my phone back into my pocket, but it wasn't long before it began vibrating again, I made it back to my dorm room before I looked at my phone again.
He had sent a picture of him and my penguin, and of course a caption stating, Me and Mr. Fluffy Buns Snacking. I laughed shaking my head. Though I became quite when my roommate came in. I never told Jinyoung who my roommate was this year, frankly he would flip out if he did know, but it was Taejoon.
Although he's a bit aggressive, he's not so bad. I watched him sit down on his bed, he stared at me for a long while.
"You lost a lot of weight since the last time I saw you."
"Before or after I punched you?" Taejoon exhaled a laugh. He pointed. "You think you're funny." I shrugged. "I've been told I had quite a few jokes up my sleeves." The taller boy nodded, laying down. "Say, Taejoon..."
He didn't respond, but I knew he was listening. "What's your story?" He was surprised that I had asked the question. He'd probably assume that if I had anything to ask it'll probably be about Jinyoung, but for some reason I felt like Taejoon wasn't as bad. Sure, he did a lot of bad things, but nothing will ever amount to the pain that the individual has been through.
"Why do you care?" I tapped my finger on my desk. "Just cause..." It irked him a little, "Look, don't take pity on me, it might have worked with Jinyoung, but I'm not here to make your acquaintance, no as a matter of fact I don't need people to understand me or be my friend." He shifted on his bed. I took that as a no, but he spoke a little.
"I wasn't always a bully..." I turned towards him. He was staring at the wall blankly. I didn't think it was necessary for me to say anything else. I just
