Jonghyun woke up the next morning to the insanity-inducing sound of someone calling him. His insanity disappeared, however, when he saw the caller ID.

“Jinki? What's up?” Jonghyun asked, before looking at the clock next to his bed. 

Sh*t, 11:24. Sh*t

“Did you die or something? I just called to check up on you.” Jinki said, sounding like he was having just a Lilly edit too much fun with waking Jonghyun. 

“I just slept over, sorry. I'll be over in 30 minutes, promise.” Jonghyun said, already crawling out of bed.

“Take your time.” Jinki said before hanging up, leaving Jonghyun to wonder how long ‘your time’ was, and if he could take another nap before it was over. He decided against the idea. 

Around 53 minutes and 13 seconds later (who's keeping track? Certainly not Jonghyun.) Jonghyun walked through the glass doors and hurried towards the elevator. 

“Good morning sleepy-head.” Jinki when he opened the door, saying ‘good morning’ despite it being past noon. But Jinki seemed to have an immeasurable amount of fun at his expense. And to be honest, Jonghyun couldn't help but laugh as well, if at nothing else, then at the sheer ridiculousness of the situation

“So what was so important that you had to wake me up from my beauty sleep?” Jonghyun asked, feigning annoyance. 

“Well, I was actually just bored, and missed something to do. And you usually visit at 10:30AM, 11:00 at most. And then it was almost 11:20, so I got worried about you.” Jinki said. Jonghyun couldn't help but smile. He was 25 minutes late, and Jinki got worried that he had died or something.

Now, it was Jonghyun turn to laugh at Jinki.

“You know, it's kinda sweet how you're so worried about me. I appreciate it, I really do. But just cause I am 25 minutes late, doesn't mean I have gotten in an accident or anything. Everyone sleeps over sometimes.” Jonghyun said.

“Well, sorry for caring.” Jinki said, this time it was his turn to feign annoyance. But the mask didn't last long before Jinki also broke into one of his world-peace-inducing smiles. 

Sometimes, Jonghyun regrets being ‘just friends’ with Jinki, but other times, like now, where they're laughing at each other, he would prefer it 100x over the alternative of not being with Jinki at all. It's nice, to be able to laugh like this, at seemingly nothing, but both find a source of humor in such a mundane and every-day thing.

“But actually, I had underlying motives to calling you earlier.” Jinki said. 

“So it wasn't just to check to see if I had died or something?” Jonghyun said. 

“Also that, but I kinda just felt like talking to someone.” Jinki said. 

And so that is what they did. They just sat on the couch for the next hour, just talking about whatever. And then, when it was around the time when Jonghyun would usually go home, Jinki “forced” Jonghyun to stay, before he ordered some take-out for them. It didn't actually take much convincing to get Jonghyun in on the idea. 

That evening, Jonghyun got home late, but it didn't matter that much, since he had gotten “permission” from Jinki to come tomorrow at noon, so he could get his “beauty sleep”.

An: another day, another boring filler-chapter. I promise and swear that I'm on
Y using these filler chapters so there will be more drama later on (and believe me, there will be D.R.A.M.A later on), so please just stick it out for now. Also, there's only a week left until Christmas. Wow, December has gone fast this year. I'm gonna miss this story when it's over.
