“Thanks for yesterday, though. It was nice.” Jinki said. Jonghyun smiled at him, while taking a sip of his warm coffee. 

“You're welcome. I'm serious, you're welcome to stop by anytime you want. I'm sure the other won't mind either, they actually quite liked you.” Jonghyun said. It was true. Taemin had practically not talked about anything except Jinki for the rest of the evening after the older had left. 

“I think you've gotten yourself a fan.” Jonghyun joked. Jinki smiled that sunshine smile of his, which only seemed to make Jonghyun's day brighter. 

Suddenly, Jonghyun thought back on what Gwiboon had said the day before. 

‘You really care about him, don't you?’ The words resonated in his mind. Yes, he did care about Jinki, he'd imagine it was hard for anyone not to. Jinki was sweet, handsome, calming to be around, funny, handsome, cute, handsome…

Jonghyun stopped his flow of thoughts. No, Jinki was just a nice man, who he had been told to look after. Nothing more, nothing less. 

“...hyun? Jonghyun?” Jinki waved his hand in front of Jonghyun's face. 

“Hello, are you awake?” The older giggled at Jonghyun as he came back to his senses. 

“Sorry, I guess I kinda zoned out there.” Jonghyun chuckled nervously. 

“It's okay. I was just asking if you wanted some more coffee.” Jinki said, standing up and pointing at the kitchen. 

“Sure, I'd love y..that, yes, I'd love that.” Jonghyun said, mentally beating himself up for that slip of his tongue. No. He didn't love Jinki, or like Jinki. He cared about him like a friend. And Jinki probably felt the same. A good friend. 

Jinki returned at gave Jonghyun a new cup of steaming coffee. 

“So, what were you thinking about when you spaced out?” Jinki asked. It was an innocent question, but it practically sent Jonghyuns heart racing. What was he supposed to do? What was he supposed to say?

“N...nothing.” He said. ‘Definitely not how attractive you look when you smile’, he added in his mind. 

A few hours later, Jinki suddenly got really tired. 

“I think I'm just gonna go to be now. I feel like I'm going to pass out or something.” Jinki said, looking towards his bedroom. 

“Okay, I'll show myself out. Sleep well, I'll see you tomorrow.” Jonghyun said. As he was about to turn and walk towards the door, Jinki gave him a hug. 

It wasn't really a special hug or anything. But it felt special. 

“Thank you for putting up with me like this.” Jinki said. Jonghyun could suddenly feel his heart beating significantly faster than usual. And his cheeks also felt warmer than usual. 

“It's absolutely no problem.” Jonghyun said, returning the hug. “Now go to bed, you're tired, remembers?” Jonghyun joked. Jinki smiled, before retreating into his bedroom. As soon as the door closed, Jonghyun walked out of the front door, locking the door after him. 

What the hell was happening with him today?

An: I'm sorry if the JongYu here feels a little fast paced, but I'm trying my best to make the story good, and keep you, my dear readers, from getting bored. Also, it's kinda late right now, and I'm just gonna post this, and then I'm gonna sleep. 

In other news, it's snowed for the first time today. Everything is covered in a white blanket, and it's making my imagination run wild. I'm getting so many new ideas for stories, it's great.
