Dream Love Concepts Vol. I - Yerin's Birthday Party Playlist

So, every once and a while, I will input these extra chapters that I call DLC. These extra chapters will range from other character's stories to a behind the scenes look at my process. 

Today, I wanted to show you guys some of the music I was listening to that inspired this section of the story. So, enjoy~!!!

Outdoors Mood Music

Lovely music to set the mood. This was the song that inspired the theming for the outside in general. The music video also had cool lighting and the R&B melody is just so addictive, you can't help by groove with it. It's mellow and enchanting. A perfect way to set the tone. The lyrics also inspired a lot fo the Sowon/Eunha scenes in this story. 

“It’s My Turn (James Landino Remix)” - James Landino x Casey Williams https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3KMXXHUdLg

A slower glitch hop joint from one of the best video game music remixers around. I had to include this to also make the gaming connection to Yerin. While it still has that electronic beat, this song is a lot slower than a lot of the other songs on this list. A good appetizer for mixing the outside mood with the inside hype. The lyrics hints a lot at the future of Yerin/Yuju relationship and its connection to Sowon/Eunha.

Now we are getting to the meat and potatos. A very pop electronic song thats easy to listen to. Parts of this song inspired the moment when Yerin and Yuju met on the dark dance floor as well as the very ually charged tone that chapter 3 had. All in all, this set the tone for chapter 3.

Now we are getting into EDM territory. The song that inspired the "drop" in chapter 3. I was actually listening to a Martin Garrix and a Oliver Heldens (look below) playlist while writing chapters 3, 4, and 5 to get me in that mind set.

Another song that inspired the 'drop" moment and the resulting "eternity" experience in chapter 3. This also was the song that helped me visualize the rest of the crowd/party in that scene. 

“Waiting For the Night” - Armin van Buuren x Fiora https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dU26cGlmkRg

Man, this is bringing in back. I mean, Armin can Buuren has been around forever. In the world of trance, we get more melodic and fluid. Things tend to get more euphoric in this genre. The lyrics tell a story of a girl who fights her daily routine and lives for dancing at night. This helpped frame the mind set I wanted for Yuju as she was listening to the music when Yerin first meets her. Almost like she's missing the music. :)

These next three songs from Oliver Heldens was what inspired chapters 3, 4, and 5 in the first place. Future bass is bouncy and fun and this inspired that feeling of moving on or forgetting problems. Shaeds of Grey also refers to this messed up wrold that I've created for these girls to deal with. Originally, I dubbed this song the "theme song" of my YeJu couple. That has since changed...

Also inspired that scene when Yerin and Yuju first met on the dance floor. Specifically, that silent conversation that the two of the had.

The ACTUAL "theme song" for my version of YeJu in this story. It's y, fun, and fully charged with angst. Perfect for this couple. You can listen to this song and literally hear chapter 3 in it. This song is so important to the story that Chapter VI is called "Last All Night, In Bed" LOL. No joke. It fits these characters so well that I just has to be used.

I just HAD to talk about this song. Eurodance awesomeness with aazing cheesy lyrics and a MV that looks like it came from the 90's. Fun fact: This song was from 2008. The reason why I include this is because I hear it a lot in a lot of KPOP Ship videos. Yerin and Yuju touch eachother a lot in this story. I can just imagine a ship video about them using this song.
