It was very exhausted day for Sowon. She had to filming Idol Room for twice in a day, but not in continues time. She had to back and forth from JTBC for filming 'Idol Room' with her members, then go to awarding venue the receive her 'Beauty Icon Award', then back to JTBC for filming 'Idol Room' 95s Pig Years Girl Idols. Sowon unable to attend at the opening ceremony of COEX Winter Festival, but she managed to joined for V-Live Video promotional for the event with the rest of GFriend.

It's already late at night when they finally get back at their dorm. They go to their each sharing room to clean up and change to more comfortable clothes and get ready to sleep. Laugh and giggle can be heard from 97s line sharing room and maknae sharing room, but it's so quiet at the Unnies sharing room. Yerin off the camera is indeed normaly calm and quiet, Sowon is the one who being consistent, she talk a lot both on and off camera. But tonight she really quiet, and it somehow makes Yerin worry and insecure.

 

There's maybe something that bother her.

Yerin thought.

 

Yerin already lay on her bed. She is normally finished faster than Sowon, since she is simple person, she clean up fast, has less beauty treatment products to apply than Sowon, and Yerin usually apply it simply, while Sowon is more carefully, tidy, and systematically, so obviously Sowon is normally longer than Yerin. But they usually chatting and joking while doing their routine, but that night is very quiet.

 

Yerin decide to initiatively make the first approach, "Unnie.." she calls her.

"Eung?" Sowon shortly respond while keep doing her things.

"Are you tired?"

"Eung."

"Is that why you being so quiet tonight?"

"Eung."

"..."

"..."

"Are you sick?"

"Nope."

"Is there something bothering you?"

"... nope..."

"Really?"

"Eung."

"..."

"..."

"Are you angry or upset about something?"

"Nope."

"Really?"

"Eung."

"Am I disturbing you?"

"Eung."

But then Sowon quickly turn around and see that Yerin who gawk, seems surprised to heard her answer just now. Sowon rectify, "No. No. You are not disturbing me."

"Really?"

"Eung." Sowon nod then turn back to face the mirror, continue to applying her beauty treatment.

 

After a while, Sowon finally finished her routine. Turn off the light then lay on her bed, ready to sleep.

"Goodnight, Yerin-ah." She greet her roommate.

"Goodnight, Unnie." Yerin greet back.

 

Silence...

 

"Unnie.."

"Eung?"

"Are you really okay?"

"Eung."

"But why I feel you are not actually okay?"

"..."

"Unnie?"

"No. Really, I'm fine."

"C'mon... Unnie you know how I'm sensitive about things like this."

"..."

"Unnie!" Yerin raise her tone.

"I'm fine. I'm just tired. You know I'm really busy today. So let me sleep now. I need to rest."

"..."

 

Silence...

 

"Unnie..."

"Tsk! Yerin-ah! What do you want me to say actually?" Sowon almost yell. There's upset tone on the way she talked.

"Tell me what bothering you!"

"I told you. It's nothing!"

"I don't believe that!"

"Tsk! So it doesn't matter what ever I say. There's no point talking about this. Just sleep!"

 

Silence...

 

"Unnie..."

"..."

"Unnie, if there's something bothering you, please tell me. Let me help. But if it's me the one who bothering you, please tell me, so then I can ask your forgiveness and fix myself."

"I already told you. I'm tired and need to rest. So just sleep now!"

 

Silence...

 

"But I sense that it's not just because you tired and need to sleep... there's something else. Unnie, plese tell me, what is it?"

"..."

"Unnie..."

"..."

"Sojung Unnie...."

"..."

"Unnie, I know you're not sleep yet."

"..."

"Unnie!"

"Tsk! Yerin-ah SHUT UP! I want to sleep!"

"..."

 

Silence...

 

"Is it because the leader re-election on Idol Room?"

"..."

"It bothering you that we had neck-to-neck votes?"

"..."

"It just a joke, Unnie. It just for fun."

"That's why because it's a joke, it could lead to sincere vote and honest opinion."

Yerin feel glad that Sowon finally admit what bothering her, but at the same time she feels sad to heard Sowon's opinion.

 

"They want you, Yerin-ah."

"It's just because my pledge about the monthly payment. Even you also want it." Yerin chuckle.

"No. You heard their whine about me..."

"But in the end, you got mostly votes. You heard and even read by yourself about Umji's opinion, and Eunha who got the most scold from you also still voted for you. It proofs that you are deserve be the leader."

"How about yours, Yuju and SinB's opinion? They voted for you."

"They just did that for fun. Me too. You can ask them now, and I'm sure they gonna undoubtedly choose you."

"..."

"Don't be bothered by that, Unnie. Umji's opinion is the real voice of ours. That no matter what happen, you, Kim Sojung a.k.a PB-Nim is GFriend leader. It goes for me."

"..."

 

 

 

Another day...

Sowon is cooking something on the kitchen when she feel there's a pair of arms wrapping her waist from behind.

"Unnie... what do you make?" Umji cutely ask.

Smile bloom on Sowon's face right away, "Scrambled egg."

"Uhmm... can I have a taste of it later. Just a bit, please..." the Maknae plead.

"Uhmm... should I give you some?" Sowon pretending to hesitate.

"Yes. You should." Umji persuading.

Sowon chuckle, "What my benefit then?'

"Uhmm... do you have to get benefit? Can't you just give it to me for free?" Umji pouting.

"You not sorry for me and just want to accept without having even a bit of initiative to give back?" Sowon testing.

"Uhmmm..." Umji thinking while keep hanging on Sowon's waist like a cute little monkey, "Is it my overflowing love and respect for you is not enough, Unnie?"

Sowon turn off the stove, then turn to look at the youngest member of their group with so much affection, "Will you gonna keep giving me those?"

"Eung!" Umji firmly nod with serious face plastered on her face, "Always. Forever."

Sowon smile, "Okay. That's enough benefit for me."

"So I can have taste of your scrambled eggs?" Umji ask.

Sowon smile, "Of course, you even can have a taste of all my cooks." Sowon said then open the lid of the next pan.

"Owh! Kimchi stew!" That maknae soar in excitement.

"With some meat on it." Sowon informing.

"Daebakk! You are the best, Unnie!" Yewon tighten her hug.

 

"Tsk! Umji always be your favorite, isn't Unnie?" SinB roughly scoffs as she enter the kitchen to get a glass of water.

"Of course. Who not gonna favourite her if Umji is this good and kind? Even you also favourite her, don't you SinB-ah?" Sowon argue.

"Tsk!" SinB just scoffs again then leave the kitchen without argue back, silently accept Sowon's argument.

 

In the afternoon...

Sowon just arrive at their practise room after she finished her class. The girls seems having their break time, they are. Yerin laying sprawling on the floor, Eunha sleeping at her sitting position, both maknaes sitting leaning to the wall on the corner, giggling, seems from watching something on their cellphone.

"Hi kids. How's your practised? Where's Yuna?' Sowon greet and ask.

"Hi Unnie. You just came? The practised was exhausting like usual. Yuna Unnie is taking a nap on the couch near the vocal room." Umji answer, while SinB didn't bother to even glance.

"She still in fever?" Sowon ask in concern.

"Eung." Umji nod.

Instead to starting her warm up, Sowon leave the room to check on Yuna's condition.

 

Yuna is curling on the couch tucked on thick blanket. Sowon carefully touch their main vocal's forehead.

 

Oh... it still quite high fever.

 

Sowon then leave to look for their Manager-Oppa.

"Oppa, please take Yuna to the hospital. Maybe get her an IV fluid will help. I'm worry. She really pale and her fever is quite high and it's been days. Maybe you better set her to a full medical check up on laboratory. She has to get urgent treatment. Or maybe she should stay at the hospital for few days, I think she really need that, she need proper rest." Sowon suggest.

"She refused when I ask her to go." Manager-Oppa tell, "Maybe you should tell her. She used to listen to you better than to me."

"Okay." Then Sowon go back to where Yuju sleeping. Sowon kneel then gently call her name, "Yuna-yah..."

Yuju wriggle a bit, then slowly open her eyes, "Unnie..." she recognize her leader-unnie as soon as she look at her.

"Yuna-yah, go to the hospital with Manager-Oppa." Sowon cut around the bush.

But Yuna shake her head, "No. I have to stay. We preparing our comeback. It's getting near. We still have lot of things to do."

"That's why you have to go to the hospital now. It's been days, and you not getting better. You are not in your optimal state. It gonna interfere our preparation. So while we still have time, you better go now. You need to get medical treatment. You need to get your health as soon as possible."

"..."

"It's for your own sake..."

"..."

"If you still gonna refuse to do it, then let me give you another reason... do it for our group. We need our healthy Main Vocal to get our success comeback. You hear me, Choi Yuna?"

"...Yes, Sojung Unnie."

"Good. Then go now!"

 

Yuju then get up, Sowon help her to wear her padded coat, she even zip it for her, then wrap a thick scarf on her neck.

"Sojung Unnie, can you go with me, please..." Yuju plead.

"Is Manager-Oppa not enough? Afterall... there's nothing I can do to make you feel better."

"Your existance next to me is help me a lot to make me feel better." Yuju innocently said.

"..." Sojung speechless, taken aback by heard that.

 

"Then who gonna watch out your other members if Sojung go with you?" Manager-Oppa trying to wooing.

"Then Oppa should stay. Sowon Unnie can drive, or we can take a cab. Anything will do, as long as Sowon Unnie can go with me." Yuju insist.

Manager-Oppa and Sowon look at each other. Hesitate.

 

"Please~..." Yuju beg again.

 

"Okay. I'll tell the kids." Sowon said then go to do what she just said.

 

 

 

At practise room...

"Kids, continue your practise. I have to go to-..." Sowon's sentence interrupted by SinB protest.

"You gonna go again? You just came and you haven't do anything... so when we gonna be able to properly practise? Our comeback is about one and half month!" She furiously protest.

Yerin touch that savage girl's shoulder and squeeze it, trying to stop her. SinB turn to look at her used-to-be-partner-in-crime with frown in her forehead, "What?! It's true! She is the leader, but she so busy with herself!"

 

"Where you want to go, Unnie?" Umji calmly ask.

Sowon sigh, she almost 'explode' by SinB rude behavior, but fortunately Umji's politeness can calm her down, "I have to go to the hospital with Yuna. She refuse to go if I'm not go along with her."

SinB's upset face immediately change to embarrassment after she heard that.

 

"Can I watch you go before we back to practise?" Eunha ask.

"Me too." Umji ask.

"Yeah. Sure." Sowon nod, then turn to look at her second-in-command, "Yerin-ah, take care of them while I'm not around, okay?"

"Okay, Unnie. Don't worry." Yerin quickly accept her duty, "Please give us a call right after Yuna get her treatment, let us know the result, okay?"

"Okay."

Then Sowon leave with Yuna and Manager-Oppa to the hospital.

 

 

 

SinB staring at the car that bring Sowon and Yuna go, it getting far away then disappear after take turn to the right.

"You sorry about what you said to Sojung Unnie, right?" Yerin suddenly ask.

SinB nod.

"That's why you should think before you act." Yerin wisely tell.

SinB nod again. "Did I by any chance hurt her feeling?" She ask in gloomy.

"Sowon Unnie is an easy going person. I'm sure she able to take that easy." Eunha soothing.

"But yesterday Sowon Unnie seems not took easy about the leader re-election when we filming Idol Room.. she looked down and sad... or did I misinterpret?..." Umji said in doubt.

But then Eunha, SinB, also Umji look to Yerin, looking for answer.

 

"What? Why you looking at me like that?" Yerin pretending to be silly then turn away, decided to get back to the practise room, but her three dongsaengs follow along.

"You are her roommate. More or less you must be know something about it?" SinB accused.

"..."

"She did bothered by that, was she?" Eunha guess.

"..."

"She did! Owh.. poor Sowon Unnie." Umji proclaim with regret.

"Damn! I should be more senseful... I shouldn't joked about that yesterday... silly me!" SinB blaming herself.

 

 

 

 

Meanwhile at the other place...

Yuju is gripping Sowon's hand tightly, while the nurse put an IV needle into her other back hand. That girl is in cold sweating, she bite her below lips, trying to hold the scares and the pain. Sowon too... that girl is in tense, feel so mad and sad in the same time, feels unwilling about somebody 'hurting' one of her baby right in front of her eyes. She has to hold her grudge and urge to smack out that nurse away from Yuju. Fortunately her sanity is able to remind her that it's for Yuju's sake, that she need it in order to the IV fluid can get inside her body to help her to get well.

 

After finally the IV fluid set...

"Now get to rest, Yuna-yah. You need it to get better." Sowon suggest while wiping Yuju's cold sweat.

"Please stay here until I fall asleep, Unnie. I hate being in the hospital by myself. I think I won't be able to sleep if you leave me now." Yuju begging without let go Sojung's hand off of hers.

"Okay. I'll stay untill you sleep. Now close your eyes." Sojung motherly command, as she gently tapping Yuju's back hand that gripping her hand.

Yuju nod, then close her eyes, "Thank you Sojung-Unnie. You are my source of strength. I love the peaceful feeling that I get everytime you near me. Just by seeing you, it always calm me down. You are dependable and nurture. As long as you around, I feel like everything gonna be okay, that you gonna take care of everything well. You are like my second mother. There's won't be no one that can ever replace you... I love you, Unnie~...zzzz~..." Yuju fell asleep.

Sojung smile and teary, deeply touched by Yuju's words.

 

 

Yerin just turn off the phone call then put it back into her pocket, "Sojung Unnie said Yuna has to stay at the hospital. Doctor already check on her, there's nothing serious, she just need proper rest, and give her IV fluid, she need few of those." The girls gladly sigh.

"Is Sowon Unnie gonna stay there too?" Eunha ask.

"She gonna come here to practise with us." Yerin said.

 

 

 

Later...

Sojung came and join the practise until late at night. They are having a rest after finished their practise. They are sitting on the floor, lean to the wall, have a drink, while Yerin and SinB are sprawling on the floor, catch their breath.

SinB rolling closer to Sowon who near her, "Unnie~... share me your drink." She cutely ask.

"Go get your own drink." Sowon said while chuckle.

"I'm tired~... I'm lazy to get it." SinB whine.

Sowon messed up SinB's hair, it makes SinB whine even more, but when Sowon hands her water to her, SinB stop to whine, accept the bottle and not even protest eventhough Sowon keep messing her hair. Sowon chuckle, "How cute of you.." she said.

"Am I?" SinB ask.

"Eung. Really cute." Sowon said without hesitation.

"I'm cute eventhough I'm naughty?" SinB ask again.

"Eung." Sowon said while tidying SinB's hair that she messed up just now.

SinB smile, "That's why you are the best leader." She suddenly said.

Sowon froze, "What do you mean?"

SinB pretend to fumbling with the bottle of water that she about to drink, doesn't dare to look right at Sowon's eyes.

"What do you mean, SinB-ah?" Sowon repeat her question.

"..."

 

"SinB was just joking about yesterday leader re-election on Idol Room, Unnie. She sorry for not vote for you. She just to shy to say it to you." Umji explain that quickly got harsh protest from her roommate.

"YAH!" SinB slap Umji's arm, "Shut up! You don't have to explain that! You're the worst TMI-er!"

"Ouch!" Umji groan in pain.

"Yah! Hwang Eunbi! Be nice to your dongsaeng!" Sowon sternly scold.

SinB pout, "You always defend her! You adore Umji way too much! I'm just few months older than her! I'm maknae too!!" SinB protest.

"So be good! Behave! Be nice like Yewon did, then I'm gonna adore you too." Sowon scold.

 

"Hey, girls! Calm down! Don't fight!" Yerin arbitrate.

While Umji snuggle to Eunha who soothing and rubbing that Maknae's arm who just got slapped by SinB.

 

"Say sorry to Yewon, now!" Sowon sternly command.

"..." SinB stay still on her spot, pout 

"Hwang Eunbi! You hear me, do it now!" Sowon raise her tone.

"..."

"You need -slaped?!" Sowon warn.

"..."

"You don't want to listen to me anymore?! Fine!" Then Sowon look to her roommate, "Yerin, you be the leader from now on, since this girl doesn't want to listen to me anymore. I have no dignity on this group. She choose you." Then Sowon get up and walk away.

 

Suddenly Sowon's steps stopped by a pair of arms that wrapped her waist from the back.

"Unnie, I'm sorry. I'll listen to you. I will obidient to you. So don't quit being our leader. Please..." SinB begging.

"But you choose Yerin. Yuju too... Yerin also didn't vote for me. I just have Eunha and Umji. Two vs three... I realize that I'm not strong enough to lead you, girls. Let's try for Yerin Leadership. I think it fair enough." Sowon said then trying to let go off SinB's arm from her waist.

But SinB refuse to let go, instead she tighten her wrapped, "No! It's wrong! It's my fault. I'm sorry, Unnie. Please~... don't quit. I'll be good. I'll listen to you." That girl start to wailing.

Sowon turn around to face that crying girl that refuse to let her go.

 

"I'm sorry, Unnie~... I'm sorry. I'm just joking yesterday. Don't quit. Please~..." SinB kneel and rubbing her palms. She begging like a kid.

 

Sowon choked, because actually she want to burst to laugh seeing how cute and adorable SinB at that time, but she think she shouldn't laugh at it, so she hold it, that's why she choked, but her members misunderstand it as a sad expression. That's why the girls quickly gather and doing a group hug, crying and begging Sowon to not stop as their leader.

 

"Let me remind you that this chance might not come twice. Someday you might gonna sorry to ask me to stay on my position as your leader." Sowon warn.

"No! We won't sorry. We won't regret this decision." They firmly said.

"Don't blame me if someday you regret this." Sowon warn again.

"No! We won't." The girls decided.

"Just like our new album concept... that you are our sun. You are our center of galaxy, so as long as we stay rotate around you, then our galaxy will be fine, just the way we are. If you gone then will be mess." Umji said, and the other nod, agreeing.

"There're another sun in universe. You can replace me to somebody you prefer..." Sowon testing.

"No. Every galaxy have their sun, it can't replace to another sun. You are our sun, we might gonna doom if you leave your position." Eunha add.

"Yeah... yeah..." Yerin and SinB just agreeing along while busy wiping their tears.

 

Once again, Sowon having the urge to burst in laugh because the cuteness and how absurd they talking at that time, also how hillarious Yerin and SinB just agreeing along. Those 4 dongsaengs of her are crying and begging to her so pity but funny at the same time. But Sowon hold her laugh as best as she can, and it cause her to choked once again, and it make her dongsaengs feel more sorry to her, since they misunderstanding again about the reason Sowon choked.

 

 

Suddenly Sowon's cellphone is ringing. It's a message from Yuju, tell her that she can't sleep, she ask Sowon to come to companying her or let her go back to their dorm.

 

"Kids, I have to go to the hospital. Yuna can't sleep by herself. If there's no one from us able to companying her at the hospital, then she prefer to get back to the dorm..." Sowon tell, "Yuna need the medical treatment, so she better stay for a little longer at the hospital. I'm gonna go. You better go back to the dorm and have a rest."

"Why wouldn't we all go to the hospital?" Eunha suggest.

"No. It gonna make fuss. And catch public attention. It's not gonna good." Sowon sigh, "You choose me as your leader, so listen to me and do what I say." She finally use her authority.

Those 4 girls finally obidiently nod.

"Good!"

 

Then they do as their plan...

 

Later, at the hospital...

Yuju look glad when Sowon finally come. They end up sharing the bed, since Yuju want Sowon to stay close to her and she fell asleep in short time, snuggling deep onto her unnie.

 

They are such cute kids.

I love them all... my adorable kids.

I'll work harder to make sure you won't regret your choice to pick me as your leader.
