It's already late at night...

GFriend girls are running frantically on the dark secluded footpath, hand in hand. They all drench in sweat. Panting heavily. Their eyes are looking at all over the place surround them panickely, insecure but also trying to stay alert, be ready if something might come to harm them.

 

"Girls... can we stop for a while? I can't breath..." Eunha begging desperatedly.

"No, we can't. It's too risk." Sowon reject eventhough she actually having hard time to manage her breath. Her chest feel like burn and about to explode at anytime, but her sanity told her to keep running also to make sure bring along her kids.

"Keep running!" Yerin add.

"Stop talking!" SinB also add.

Yuju who the fastest among them accelerate her speed more while keep gripping tight Sowon and SinB's hand on the right and the left, bring along her members and force them to keep up with her.

"Unnies... please... I can't breath too... please..." Umji whine almost faint.

 

Sowon manage to look behind at her members. She has to admit that Eunha and Umji are the most pity among them. They've been dragged badly along their run away.

"Let's stop for a while." Sowon finally decide.

"But, Unnie..." Yuju is protest while keep running.

"Just for a while, Yuna." Sowon insist.

Yuju always believe that her Sojung Unnie is such a dependable scrupulous person, that she must already calculated the feasibility and also the risk if they decide to stop now, eventhough their current situation is their life on threat. But Yuju is have high respect and unwavering trust on her Leader-Unnie, that's why she obey her and manage to carefully pick rest area with tall lushes bushes that she hope is safe for them.

 

The girls are trying their best to catch their breath while they stop.

"Oh my God~... this is horrible... what should we do?" Umji crying.

"I don't want to die now? I'm still too young~..." Eunha crying too.

"Shut up! Don't mention about die at time like this!" SinB scolding.

"But I'm so scare right now..." Eunha whine.

"We all very terrified. But don't give up! We are together, we will make it. We'll safe." Yerin couraging her members.

"You all done catched your breath? Let's go!" Yuju suggest.

 

"Awww~...!" Eunha and Umji express their whine objection.

 

"Is there really no other way to get help? 'Till when we keep on run away?" Umji ask.

"Cellphone! Call police! Or call Manager-Oppa.. or CEO-Nim! Call our parents! Or anyone!" Eunha suggest.

"We don't have it right now. If at least one of us have cellphone or money right now, there's no necessary to run away these far, you silly!" SinB savagely sneer.

Sowon tap SinB's shoulder, "Watch who's you're talking to SinB-ah! Watch your words!"

SinB pout and frown, "But Eunha Unnie is the one who should think before whinning."

"Still! She's your unnie. Respect her." Sowon scold.

SinB scoffs and rolling her eyes annoyingly, "Ne!" but still answer obidiently eventhough by force.

 

"Let's go, Kids. I think it's pretty safe to not running, but still we have really careful and don't let down your guard, stay alert! Stay together hand in hand. Protect each other. Let's find help or safe place to hide until everything secure condition." Sowon command.

"Ne, Unnie." Her members obidiently answer.

 

They walk for who knows how long it already. They tired, scare, but they are in the middle of nowhere, it's like dry prairie where ever they see. It's dark and very quiet. The sounds they can hear is just they own breath and their steps. It's even more worse when suddenly the rain drops. They shouldn't be more hapless than that...TT

 

"Girls, look!! That way! It seems there's a building there!" SinB shout. The girls trying to look at where SinB point to.

As their head getting wet by rain, they decide that they have to take a chance no matter how tiny is that, anyway they will still drench eventhough if 'building' that SinB said is just hallucinations. So they walk forward to where SinB sure as the direction to the something that she think it's a building. After a while, it proves that SinB's eyesight is indeed trustworthy. It's a building. Seems abandoned old building. It's look creepy, but they don't have any better choice, in fact that's the only shelter they can find after hours. So they decide to just enter to that building.

 

At the inside of the building...

The girls glad that the inside is actually not as creepy as they thought before. It's dry and keep them safe from heavy rain outside. They stop at the large room that seems like living room, there's still furnitures they can use. There's couches, pillows, tables, even the floor with thick carpet, and chandeliers. That room ans perhaps that entire building might be beautiful and luxurious when it still used and there're people lived in the past.

The girls trying their best to clean up so then they can use it comfortably. They find cabinet with blankets inside. It smells musty but they still use it, since they really need it. There's still few firewood left so they lit it at the fireplace to dry their wetness and warm themself. After a while they already adapt theirself in that place, they unconsciously let down their guard and tense, start to chatting and even joking with each other, their laugh and giggle fill that place, somehow 'brighten and warming'.

After a while, as they feeling comfy and safe their tiredness start to make them sleepy, evenmore with the sound of the heavy rain outside and the fire tap that burning the firewood on the fireplace also the warmness drift them to sleep deeply.

Sowon's head bobbing since that girl is on siting position on the carpet floor while lean to the couch with Eunha and Umji are sleeping with their head on her lap. Yerin and Yuju lay on the carpet not far from them, while SinB lie on the couch by herself. Sowon carefully tucked her beloved members on blanket and dearly peck their each head.

 

 

 

For upteenth time Sowon's head bobbed. She wriggle, streatching her sore neck, but when she about to doze off again, she realizing that Eunha's head no longer on her lap, and when Sowon trying to look at her surround, she can't find even the tiny bit glimpse of that shortest member of their group.

 

"Eunha-yah~..."

 

Sowon call with her hoarse sleepy voice, but there's no that particulary cute voice answer can be heard. Sowon's brain naturally working, thinking that Eunha is a scaredy-cat, so it's impossible that Eunha left that room by herself --- since the other members are still at their place --- if Eunha really need to go then she must be go with at least one of them.

 

"Eunha-yah !"

 

Sowon try to call again, but still even after a while there's no answer.

 

"Eunha-yah, answer me when I call you! It's not funny! I'm gonna really mad if you keep prank me like this. Just wait 'till I find you later, you gonna get big trouble! You hear me? Eunha-yah !!" Sowon try to threatening, but still nothing.

 

"Unnie, why you yelling? Who's you're yelling to?" Yuju awaken then ask while scrubbing her sleepy eyes cutely.

"Eunha. She's not here and she not answering when I called her. It's weird isn't? Eunha is a scaredy-cat it's impossible that Eunha left by herself, she normally would ask one of us to go with her." Sowon sharing her opinion.

"Yeah, I agree with you, it's impossible that Eunha left by herself. You want me to looking for her?" Yuju voluntairing herself.

"Ooh... can you? That would be so much help." Sowon touched by Yuju's sweet offer.

"Ne, Unnie. I'll look for her now. Just wait up, okay..." Yuju said coolly.

"Eung. Thanks. Find her and go back here quickly!" Sowon tell.

"Ne, Unnie." Yuju get up then go.

 

But just in few seconds later, Sowon suddenly remember something...

Oh no... Yuna is really bad with direction, even more at these dark unfamiliar place like this, it might impossible thing to do too...

What have I done?

Stupid Kim Sojung!!

 

"Yuna-yah!! Don't go by yourself! Take one of members with you!" Sowon shout, but there's no answer from Yuna.

 

"Yuna-yah!!"

....

"Choi Yuna!!"

...

 

She can't be that fast... she should be still near, she should be hear me....

But why she not answer me?

....

Ough~... why suddenly I feel weird?...

 

"Yuna-yah!!" Sowon try to call again, but still no answer.

"Unnie, stop shouting!" SinB whining.

"Ooh.. sorry SinB. Did I disturbed and wake you up?"

"Yeah... kinda..."

"Eunha is gone, but I don't think she could go by herself, you know that she's a scaredy-cat, don't you?"

"Yeah... I know that. But if Eunha Unnie was the one who left, then why you called for Yuju Unnie just now?..."

"Yeah, here's the thing... Yuna woke up because disturbed by me called for Eunha few times. Then she volunteered herself to look for Eunha. But then I remember that Yuna is really bad with direction, even more in this dark unfamiliar place, she might lost, but then when call her she already gone... and now I'm so worry about both of them." Sowon explain.

SinB blink her eyes lazily, then sigh. "Let me find them. I'm not a scaredy-cat and I'm good with direction. I'm sure it won't be long." Then SinB get up then go to find her Unnies.

"Be careful, SinB-ah. Please come back soon!" Sowon beg 

"Eung~..." SinB just casually answer while unchalantly scratching her , then gone into the darkness.

 

 

After pretty while...

There's no hint that SinB or Yuju or Eunha comeback. Sowon getting more and more worry. There's nothing clue about what took them so long, what are they doing, what happened to them, where they are actually... there's so much things pops in Sowon's mind, but no one able answer her question. It's like being hung, it's suffocating. Sowon feel helpless... There're Yerin and Umji left with her, Sowon determined that she will protect them no matter what.

 

Yerin awake and find that her Unnie is stay awake.

"Unnie, are you not sleep for once?"

Sowon nod.

"Why? You must be tired. And where the others? Eunha, Yuju and SinB?"

Sowon shake her head energyless, "I don't know... they left one by one for quite sometimes, I'm really worry about them. (Sobs)"

"Oh, Unnie, don't cry. I'm sure they're okay and will comeback soon."

"Yeah, I hope that will gonna happen."

"Do you want me to look for them?"

"NO! Don't! Just stay here with me and Umji. No matter what we HAVE TO stick together!"

"O-okay, Unnie." Then Yerin back to sleep.

 

Night feel so long, as if the bright morning won't come... it's dark and gloomy, ir's still raining outside, thunderbolts keep come and go, sometimes it sounds far, but sometimes it so loud and sudden, jolting, like the one who just blasted, it wakes Sowon up. She fell asleep after had very complicated thought without answer, but her tiredness take charge of her to fell asleep.

Suddenly Sowon shriek in horror, very loud and sudden, it even wakes Yerin up.

 

"What?... what happened?" Yerin wakes in panic.

"Umji!! Where is she? She should be still sleeping on my lap..." Sowon panickely blabbering.

"What? Umji is gone?" Yerin frown, "Umji-yah!! Yewon-ah!! Kim Yewon!!" She start to shout to call her Maknae, but there's no answer. Yerin gawk... she just finally comeback to her sense when she hear Sowon wailing.

 

"Unnie~..."

"Where all of them actually? (Sobs) What happened to them? (Sobs) It's so weird... what wrong with us? (Sobs) Why people gone one by one? (Sobs) It's so scarry..."

Yerin shift closer to Sowon to hug that crying girl, "Unnie, calm down. They must be alright. They might found something that fun to play, then lost of time and can't hear us called them. They will be back. Have faith, Unnie!'

"I really want to believe you said just now, Yerin-ah, (sobs) I really really wish that they are okay (sobs) and will comeback (sobs). That's what I really want, Yerin-ah. (Sobs sobs) My babies~... (wailing) please comeback to me~... (wailing) please my babies~ (wailing and sobs even more)!!"

"Oh... Unnie.. grip your sanity!" Yerin tighten her hug and caress Sowon's head that on her chest, trying her best to soothe her Unnie, eventhough she actually scare and worry too about her dongsaengs, but Yerin thought Sowon who notice from the beginning how their dongsaengs gone one by one how multiply times her feeling and mind being messed up?...now just two of them remain, they have to become strenght for each other, if Sowon down then Yerin have to become her pillar, vice versa.

 

After a while, after tired wailling, Sowon gradually calm down, but still there's sniffles left. Yerin sense that her Unnie's body as if doesn't have energy, it droop and just lean to her helplessly. Yerin thought what gonna happen if her Unnie also gone without she know it, without she able to strive her, will she gonna be still calm down? She don't think so...

 

Ooh... what a scarry thought I just get...

Yerin shook her head, try to get rid away the very bad mind she just had. She got a chill goosebump that shivering her all of sudden.

 

"Unnie, it's really odd that the time seems stop, don't you notice? It's already late at night when we got here, and it's been long we spend our time here, already hours but the morning seems never come... uhm... how about if we try to look for them? Let's find out what really happened? Or maybe we should get out from this place." Yerin suggest.

Sowon sigh deeply, "I think you might be right. Let's go."

Then they get up. Yerin take a burning firewood from the fireplace to use it as torch, then her free hand grab Sowon's hand tightly. Then they left that room. They explored the building, it's strangely very large and have upper level floors. Once in a while they call for their dongsaengs name, but nothing answer, also there's no clue about them.

 

Still rainning heavily outside. The rain also really weird... with that kind of heavy rain for very long time, it might cause flood, but it's not happen, not like they wish for... of course not, they shouldn't get more any bad thing happen to them to be add. It's already too much...

 

Sowon and Yerin finally get the 3rd floors of that building. There is strange too. It's different than the other floors. It just a very large hall, as if there's no end, the ceilling also very high, it's totally dark, since there's no window at it, also it's much colder than the other floors. 

 

Yerin grimace, feeling lost and scare even more, "Unnie, let's get down then go out from this building, it's too odd, I'm scare."

"Wait, what if our dongsaengs are there? We have to check this floor too? I don't want to miss a thing, we have to find them, we got in this building together then we also have to left this building together. We shouldn't left no one here." Then Sowon step forward pulling Yerin along with her, but Yerin try to hold them instead pull Sowon back to the stairs, trying to force her to get down with her.

"Yerin, come on!" Sowon scold.

"No! Let's get down and get out of here! This place is weird. I don't want to be here any longer!" Yerin defy.

"Yeah, but we have to find them first, so we can get out together!" Sowon insist.

"They might be already out, Unnie. Let's check outside!" Yerin try to persuade.

"Let's check here in a quick then we check outside." Sowon try to pull Yerin with her.

"Unnie~..." Yerin start to whine.

"Argh! Fine! You wait here, I'll check this floor by myself, you coward!" Then Sowon let go her hand from Yerin's grip.

 

As soon as they apart, something happen...

Black hands come out from the darkness, just hands, a lot of hands, there's no body or face can be seen. Then those hands grab Sowon's body and pull her. Sowon shriek very loud, while Yerin gasp, speechless, froze at her spot.

 

"YERIN, HELP ME!!" Sowon begging desperatedly with wide eyes in horror, her hands flapping trying to reach out to Yerin, as she getting dragged further from Yerin. Then a black hand smothering harshly, prevent Sowon to shout more.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It happened so fast, like a blink of eye. Sowon dragged into the darkness, her voice also drown. POOF!! She's gone.

It's all happened right in front of Yerin's sight, and the most regretful things that attack Yerin is the fact that she didn't do anything to stop that. She not tried anything to help. She just froze on her spot.

 

The torch drop on the floor. Then Yerin too flopped on the floor, her legs has no energy to support her to stay standing longer. Her energy drain. She's panting then burst to tears uncontrollably.

 

"UNNIIIIIEEEEE...!!!!"

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Yerin feel her body being rocked harshly and her cheeks being slapped for couple of times. Force her to open her eyes.

 

"YAH! Wake up!"

 

A familliar voice yell at her. It's Sowon. Yerin quickly wake her body up and reach out to hug her frantically.

"Were you having nightmare? It's okay... it's fine now. You are safe. I'm here." Sowon soothe as she caress Yerin's head and rubbing her back gently, while Yerin wailing, crying really hard, as she hug Sowon's slim body very tightly.

Then Yerin feel another hands touching her trying to soothe. Then she hear another voices wooing her. Yerin look at her surround then see that her dongsaengs are all there also. They look worry at her.

 

After a while, Yerin gradually calm down. Umji give a glass of water that Yerin quickly gulped down gratefully.

Yerin tell them about her nightmare. Then they just soothe her, tell her that it just a nightmare, that she doesn't have to worry. Everything is fine.

Then they back to their room to back to sleep, since it still too early to wake up. Leaving Yerin just with her roommate.

 

"Unnie..."

"Eung?"

"I'm sorry..."

"For what?"

"For not stay up with you to guard our dongsaengs. Sorry that you had to experienced it alone. Also really sorry for not did anything to help you when they dragged you away (sobs)."

"It's just a nightmare, Yerin-ah. It's not really happen. You don't need to be sorry. Afterall, in reality, you help me a lot."

"Still... very sorry, Unnie."

"Okay, okay... fine. I accept your sorry. Now get back to sleep, you need it to regain your energy. We have busy day tomorrow.. in fact, in few hours later."

"Unnie, can I sleep with you? I'm still scare~..."

"Eung, come here."

Then Yerin get up and move to Sowon's bed, slide under Sowon's blanket, snuggle to her unnie. And Sowon embrace her, caress her head and tapping her back. The way Sowon do it is very gentle, soothing then successfully drift Yerin to sleep with no more nightmare instead sweet dream.
