Broken Hearts of Literature.“What makes you think I wanted to romantically get myself involved with you?!” Nami questioned, standing up to glare back at the man while Bo Na rested a hand on the girl’s wrist- wanting to pull her back down. But the brunette’s eyes matched Baekhyun’s cold ones—glaring at him to much intent. The girls gathered around, feeling awkward just sitting there with the pair just glaring at each other. Jaemi stared at her best friend, standing up to wrap an arm around the brunette’s waist: “Na,” she called out softly but Nami had her glaring eyes set on him.
“Just because you suddenly don’t want to get yourself romantically involved with your students has nothing to do with me. You starting this mess, and you ending it still has nothing to do with me.” She called out, resting her hands on Jaemi’s arms after yanking her wrist from her cousin’s grip. All eyes were now on the pair- it wasn’t the first time they’ve seen drama within their group of friends.
“I told myself the moment I found out you were my professor that I wasn’t going to play any of your games. But you insisted on wanting to be ‘friends’.” Baekhyun simply stared, he didn’t know what to say. He felt a bit hurt by her words, really. But then again, he deserved it after his drastic change. “I take my job more than very seriously, what makes you think I’ll give it up for you? Hmm? Maybe because I did want to be friends, maybe I wanted to know about you, so I’d know if you were worth being apart of our group. Who knows what kind of game I’m ing playing!” Baekhyun retorted, a scoff-like chuckle escaping his lips as he kept his eyes on her.
“I’m not some stupid girl you’d meet and play her like a board game, Baekhyun,” she growled, her nails now digging into Jaemi’s arm. “Na, stop,” Bo Na called out, now standing while grabbing ahold of the girl with Jaemi. Bo Na can see the pain in Jaemi’s eyes from the group that the brunette has on the girl’s arm. The tension within the room was overwhelming, and it oozed all around. Even the pain being inflicted could be felt. “Please, Na. You’re hurting your best friend.” Bo Na called out; her arms wrapped around Nami’s waist in attempts to calm the girl.
Her nostrils flared as she tried to regulate her breathing once more. This time, she was done completely. She ripped the glare she had on Baekhyun, focusing on the two arms wrapped around her. “Let go of me,” she demanded, but her cousin and best friend hesitated. “I’m being serious, let go of me.”
And they did—slowly.
She huffed, turning her body to grab her backpack purse before heading for the door. “Na,” Jaemi called out desperately, “where are you going?” Nami was too busy slipping on her shoes, she almost didn’t want to look back
