Broken Hearts of Literature.“Hey, Na,” Bona called out as she looked to her cousin. The brunette looked up with risen brows from the little boy, Daemyun, playing in front of her. Her cousin came closer, holding an envelope in her hands. “The last time we talked, it was about the cabin – and I forgot to give you this.” The brunette took the envelope, opening it with an immediate and swift movement. “A wedding invitation?” She asked while her cousin smiled, dropping beside her with arms wrapping around her. “Well, you’re my cousin, and I want you to be my bridesmaid! I was going to ask earlier, but I was so focused trying to get you guys to come here.”
“Well, I would love to be your bridesmaid.” Nami said in a matter-of-fact tone. Jongin grinned, suddenly joining her cousin and engulfed the brunette in a tight hug. They rocked back and forth with her in the middle, and she suddenly couldn’t breathe – despite all the love she was getting from them. “I won’t make it to your wedding if you suffocate me like this.” She uttered and Jongin loosened his grip on the girl. “We just love you,” Bona said, giving the brunette little feathery kisses on her cheek. Daemyun noticed his aunt and uncle crowding one of his aunts, and he jumped forward onto her lap, joining their tight hug with little giggles. Even he began giving the brunette pecks over her cheeks and nose.
“Okay, I’m going to need you to get off me now, except for Daemyun,” Nami chuckled, trying to shake off her cousin and her soon-to-be husband. Her arm wrapped around the little boy while her cousin gave into her request while the little boy simply rested in her lap.
“Alright, no more pestering Nami,” Bomi called out while scooping her son from the brunette’s lap. “We need to start Christmas dinner!”
“You’re still awake?”
The brunette jumped at the sound of the incomer. Her eyes had been focused on watching the snow fall outside. She wanted nothing better to go outside and build a snowman. Nami blinked as she turned around to see the male ascending down the stairs. “I can’t sleep,” she replied. Her head turned back to the glass windows, memorized by the white fluffy snowfalls. The male walked over, staring out the window just as she did when she looked down – a wrapped giftbag held out in front of her. She looked up, surprised, to the male. “Baekhyun–” she said, but he smiled. “The last time we saw each other, you were upset – hostile. I didn’t know what to do, and when Bomi said Christmas was here… I didn’t know if you’d be here. I just – I’m sorry.” He stammered. He's never had this problem apologizing to a girl, or at least a girl he liked a lot.
Her body now turned towards him; her arms wrapped around her. “I’m sorry for what I said and what I did. I know that me being your professor and all, I don’t support relationships between students and professors – I don’t want to end up like Junmyeon and my sister. But I listened to my sister, your cousin, everyone when I genuinely like you. I understand if you don’t want anything to do with me – or if it
