appearance & style — 
+ Being part of a world that highly influences glitz and glamour really put a spell on her. Her naturally brunette hair is often dyed a cherry red. Her hair falls down to mid-back, and she has her signature fringe that is bluntly cut off at her eye brows. She's a noona who lives on make-up. She won't leave her home without any on. She looks almost, if not, doll like and that's why people like posing for pictures with her. She's Itaewon's live doll. Sarang's body type is more pear shaped than hourglass shaped since her hips are slightly wider than her shoulders, but she has a pretty healthy/built body. Her abs aren't extremely toned, but she's toned enough to make them noticeable; same thing goes for her biceps (you can't notice if she isn't flexing, but she's got some muscle that packs a punch). Her lips are plump, and rosy pink, but she loves coloring over them with lipstick...preferably in pink hues. 

+ When it comes to style, Sarang likes to keep up with trends, but she prefers to make her own trends rather than following them. She'll get her clothing and upcyle it, or buy cheap clothes to make it look like they're worth thousands of dollars. She likes color coordination, and makes sure that each outfit is paired off perfectly with an item of clothing in her closet. She donates clothing she doesn't wear anymore. 

personality —

when it comes to sarang, sometimes it's a bit hard to tell her real age. she's very energetic and could probably bounce off walls if you let her. she's airy, and gives off the impression that she's not serious and that certain things don't concern her. it may make her seem like a joke, but she's the type of person who will definitely go out of her way to prove you wrong. sarang may act like a child at times, but that's because she doesn't take life too seriously. she has fun when life allows her too. she's steely and hard working when it comes to her job. she has high determination and articulation. she needs and wants everything to be perfect, because if it isn't, she believes it's not worth showing. sarang is comendable for being artful. she has creative skills and taste for her job, and is always prompt with deadlines and working with co-workers. at times when it comes to her job, she will appear solemn. not a smile in sight, not a joke to be heard because this is different from her day-to-day life of clowning around. her job is not to be taken as a joke. 

but, besides that point, being a mother has also taught sarang so much. for example, after having somin, she's become much more understanding and considerate to people around her.  some of her close friends even said that she became a whole lot more indulgent. whereas, it'll become clear that she has a soft spot for you because if you're in a tough situation against her, she'll be more lenient to you. but with her all of that aside, as a parent she needed to stand her ground when she needed too. since she has a playful side to her, she also has a stern side to even out the playing field.  she is going to tell you exactly what she thinks about your actions, how they make her feel, and what you need to do to correct them because she is not in it to play games. she's a grown a** adult, and she's not going to take anybodies b.s. so, it's rather surprising for people who've only seen her soft side to see her switch suddenly flip to a more outspoken and demanding type. 

still, it's not a surprise to see how many people gravitate around sarang. she's very loquacious and just has the aura of a perfect mood maker. she's laid-back and tries to keep unwanted conversations far from reach. she's comfortable with herself and much more with  her uality ever since having her daughter. and it's not so much that she wants to house a dozen kids (i swear, she really doesn't-) but she just enjoys being libidinous. the intimacy shared between two people, drives her off the walls.  

likes —
+ when things go according to plan.
+ when you surprise her with food. the girl loves herself some food.
+ seeing somin at the end of a long shift
+ strawberry mochi. get her some and you're automatically her favorite for the week.
+ alcohol. only when somin's away though. she's not going to drink in front of her daughter. are you crazy? "i'm not an animal! what kind of mommy do you think I am?"
+ going out into nature. "it's the most ideal place for yoga."
+ yoga. it gets the brain juices flowing.
+ strawberries. "strawberries are yum~"
+ coffee. "lord knows where i'd be without starbucks."
+ having things organized
+ talking. 
+ oat meal. "oat meal for breakfast gives me the energy i need to survive at least forty five minutes...after that I need more food!"

dislikes —
+ improvising. don't get me wrong, she can do it well and accurately, but it's troublesome.
+ being lied to. it's seriously a make or break for her. she hates playing games with people. just be real, and she'll be real back. 
+ being tested. no, not exams. being tested as in seeing if she's fit to be girlfriend material. either you like her, or you dont. "end of story."
+ salads. "gross. this is not real food. get it away from me!"
+ coca cola or any carbonated beverage at that. "it's the water life for me."
+ too much grease on her food. "grease is okay, but when it's dripping down my arm...well thats when you know there's too much grease."
+ 

habits —
+ sleeping in on sundays (her day off), on these days youngsun takes somin out to let sarang sleep in.
+ whenever somin gives her sass, sarang pauses in her place and takes it all in before sitting her down to tell her wrong from right. over the past few years, sarang's gained major patience. nothing surprises her much these days.
+ she cries for almost everything that involves somin's acheivments. istg, she needs to staph crying. but she can't help it, she's a proud momma bear.
+ she gets stressed out when theres too much on her plate, it often causes her to have a major breakdown. and it's not pretty.
+ is now a light sleeper, and jerks up quickly from her sleep or naps if she hears any sound, thinking it's somin.

hobbies —
+ reading; she loves taking in knowledge, so if she has the time, she'll take it to read and learn.
+ dancing or choreographing. (her favorite is ballet styled themes)
+ listening to ballad type songs to calm her down or give her inspiration.
+ collecting vintage items.
+ collecting vinyls. 
+ scrapbooking somin's life so she can have it as a keepsake/gift when she's older

trivia — 
+ she sings along to kid's cartoon shows because somin watches them non-stop. they're hard to forget.
+ she actually has to wear perscribed seeing glasses, but wears contacts around somin so she won't accidentally knock them off of her.
+ has about six pairs of glasses.

background —

December 1989 : sarang was born in seoul, south korea to her mother heo yiseul and father heo myung-gil. 

June 2007 : sarang attended school until she graduated at age 18. there were no particular occurances that happened throughout her school life, other than her prizes and awards she obtained for her art and theater classes/works. 

July 2007 : directly after high school, sarang entered university for dance and choreography. she had attended school with various friends from highschool and partied on a regular schedule, but not enough to let it affect her studies. 

May 2010 : after finals, sarang is invited to the biggest bash of the year off-campus and this is where she first meets and hook's up with youngsun.

June 2010 : sarang sleeps with youngsun once again, at another party. somin is conceived.

August 2010 : after finding out that she's pregnant, sarang tries to find youngsun only to discover he's moved to itaewon for work. she goes to him to deliver her news and proceeds to move in with him, choosing to commute to school in seoul from itaewon. 

October 2010 : youngsun deems the commute to be too much stress on sarang; she stops attending school and abandons her studies. 

December 25, 2010: after proposing to her several months prior, youngsun and sarang get married.

March 24, 2011 : somin is born in itaewon, south korea at 7:38 am after twelve lengthy hours in labor. 

December 2011 : sarang goes back to finish her studies and youngsun and sarang file for divorce. 

June 2012 : after completing the last of her courses she graduates university and applies to work as a theatrical choreographer. she obtains a job to coreograph scenes in musicals and stops receiving money from her parents.

April 2017 : a club opened up, and sarang took interest. they needed a choreographer, and she was one. this was the job she'd been searching for, for five years and after attending the interview, she's given the job by yeojin.
 

current life —
+ Sarang found out about Club Seventeen when it was first going to open. She saw positions posted and decided to look into it since it was just the position she had been looking for. She arranged an interview with Yeojin and later got the job as a choreographer. Through her job, she's become very familiar with everybody who works at the club. Yes, she's one of the oldest, but she's also one of the most dedicated ones too. 

* Work Schedule.

Sarang is very dedicated to her line of work. She's prompt to her job at Club Seventeen, and even though she doesn't work long hours, she earns enough to help support her daughter and pay her bills. She works behind the scenes as a choreographer for all their dances. Sarang creates unique pieces that helps showcase each dancer's potential to bring in more money. 

Aside from working at club seventeen she has another part time job as a visual choreographer in theater production. Still, most of her attention goes to club seventeen.

Away from work, Sarang is an active mom. She loves taking Somin out to see the world, to learn new things. She tries her best to attend anything somin participates in (such as play's, feild days, meet the teacher nights, etc), but she can't always make it, and winds up feeling a little glum over it; she's quite lucky to have youngsun around to cover for her. Every so often on sundays, a road trip is planned between Sarang and Youngsun to take Somin to lotte world only if she's been a good girl (which most of the time they take her anyway) and when they have nothing planned, Sarang lazes around while Youngsun takes on the parent role for the day. Becasue Youngsun and Sarang live together and parent together, it's common for Somin to "push" them together, even since they're her parents and she things they're together. They do play it up for her sometimes, and other times they try to explain to her that they're not together romantically. It has yet to stick with Somin though.
 

family —

+ sarang couldn't have been happier to find out she was going to be blessed with a daughter. secretly, she wished for it even if youngsun had originally wanted a boy. she'd know that he'd make a great father though and he was! somin was the one thing she looked forward to on days she didn't feel like getting out of bed, and the reason to be better as a person. 
+ somin is a very active and talkative girl. she's always looking for something to learn about and often enough mimics people's actions, so it's very important that sarang and youngsun watch over her carefully to prevent her from copying something bad. somin doesn't really cling to her parents as she'd say "i'm a big girl, i don't need mommy or daddy to hold my hand when i'm walking across the street"; to which her parents would switch looks and say "i didn't teach her that," or "excuse me little lady, you gon' hold my hand or you can say goodbye to buns for a long time". 

friends — 

▪ ex-husband, best friend & somin's father | nam youngsun | 5 out of 5 
+ youngsun and sarang were never together, and it wasn't until she found out about the pregnancy that they properly started talking. they sort of slapped themselves for not doing it sooner, because they hadn't realized how well they matched with each other both in and out of bed. they had common interests and ways of thinking. because they wanted to make it work out for their daughter that was on the way, they decided to get hitched, which didn't work out so well in the aftermath of it. they realized they didn't like the title or being held down by a document, so they filed for divorce. although...nothing really changed between them. they still had a daughter, and they still lived together. the only thing that changed was their titles. 
+ youngsun has both a playful and serious side to him. he's out-going around sarang, but more reserved when it comes to being around a group of people he's not familiar with. his serious side plays out more when he's around somin. he presents himself as a responsible parent, who cares about the well-being of his daughter, which he really does. he'd move mountains for his daughter if he could.

+ wooae has always been in sarang and youngsun's circle of friends. They've known each other since middle school, and can confide in her for anything. she's sort of like their mediator, and nanny for the rare moment when they're both too busy to watch somin. somin calls her, "aunt woowoo". 
+ as much as wooae loves and cares for her friends, there's still a side to her that's envious. she wishes she could have a family like sarang and youngsun. she wishes that they would just shut up and get back together since they "clearly" still got feelings for each other-- no, wooae is sweet though. she's easily swayed by somin's cuteness, and is probably the most vulnerable person you'd ever meet #facepalm she's lucky she has hard a** friends like sarang and youngsun.

relationship  — 
+ ; for the most part, the relationship between jeonghan and sarang is very positive. they both have a hand for art and creativity. when they see each other (which is only ever at work), they spend their time trading music and movie names or titles that should be seen by the other. they're close, but they're not close on the level to hang around, outside of work. they don't argue over silly little things because they're only familiar with what's skin-deep. They have yet to develop a realtionship where more is revealed about themselves. He's aware she has a child, and over the short amount of time, he will admit that he's grown pretty fond of her.  

- ; on the flip note, they don't have enough time in their hands to talk all the time. with sarang trying to raise a child and be a queen for her job, it doesn't leave enough time to flirt with the cutie behind the bar. what's worse on her end is that he won't drop the whole "noona" term. sure, she's older than he is...but it just makes her feel older than she should! it makes her feel wrong for hiding the tiny miniscule hUGE regular sized crush she has on him. above all things, she's never felt so insecure. he's a young male, who has his whole life ahead of him, and she's nearing her thirties with a child..AND she lives with her baby-daddy (which irks him in a way it shouldn't).
