I was standing in front of Bona’s apartment and was now looking at her who was holding the door open for me. She looked excited when she opened the door but now she’s glancing back and forth to my face and towards my finger that was still pressed on the doorbell. I had a serious face on and she soon matched my expression. She was about to say something when I suddenly let go of my hold.

“Are you done, Eunseo?”

A smile slowly crept into my face. Bona just grabbed my hand and invited me inside her studio apartment. The place had this cosmic feel to it with all the stellar wall decal. I noticed a moon door sticker to my right as I entered the room. That door led to a separate space for the bathroom. There was an L-shaped kitchen at one corner with various star constellation drinking glasses. Her glow in the dark starry canopy bed was on the other corner with an abstract celestial divider that separated it from the beige loveseat sofa that I was sitting on.

“Waaa… Daebak!” was all I could say as I looked around her room.

Despite the fact that I was feeling a bit down last night with what happened between me and Cheng Xiao, I was now pretty much elated at what I’m seeing right now.

“Welcome to my universe, Eunseo. I’m gonna go get us something to drink.”

Bona proceeded to get a pitcher from the fridge and put it on the kitchen counter.

“When is your birthday, Eunseo?” Bona asked as she reached for the kitchen cabinet that contained a number of drinking glasses.
