When Thorn and Si Young were done with a simple dinner at one of his favorite traditional restaurants near Starship they had made their way over to Thorn's apartment. They had had some quality time to really get to know each other a little better than they had the first time they went out considering all the awkwardness that had still permeated the air between them. They had talked about their random everyday life and everything that you would expect in a new and blossoming relationship. It had been so average of a dinner date that Thorn was very happily surprised. She had never been one for the over the top. She liked knowing that who she was friends with or dating or anything of the sort was a fairly normal person that understood the KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) standard of life. She had been quick to invite him over for coffee when he told her that he and Mad Clown had actually been able to finish the song that they were working on right as Thorn had made it to their door. She didn't think there would ever be a day when she didn't want to spend more time with him.

When they had made it to the apartment Thorn was lost in her own thoughts and had entered in the passcode for the lock and looking rather idiotic, ran herself head first into the door instead of opening it. She hadn't turned the handle completely and the force of her body weight hitting into it sent her falling backwards. She reached up for Si Young at the same time that he was grabbing her. As a result of the both of them pulling towards each other, their faces collided in a kiss. Both of them froze, not entirely hearing the door unlatch and swing open, wide eyed and staring at each other with their lips still locked. This was not at all how Thorn thought that they would share their first kiss but when she really thought about it later it was only fitting, considering their habit of literally running into each other all the time.

While they were still standing statue still they heard someone clear their throat behind them. Thorn startled and quickly jumped away. That hadn't been Angie that cleared . It had been a man. When she looked through the doorway she saw Junhyuk looking at them. Thorn was still wide eyed and could already tell that it was going to be a while before she was back to normal. She stared at Junhyuk and couldn't seem to piece together why he was there exactly. 

Despite her shock at seeing Junhyuk, Thorn went into the apartment without a word, leaving Si Young standing in the hall. As soon as she was in the apartment she noticed that the rest of HotShot was staring at what was going on with slightly wide eyes. Thorn simply walked past them all in a zombie like state and went into her room closing the door behind her. She took some deep breaths trying to come to terms with the kiss that had just happened and having to come face to face with the man she was avoiding. She really had no idea what to do.

Meanwhile in the living room after the rest of HotShot started eating again, Angie found herself standing halfway between Junhyuk and Giriboy. She kept turning her head to look at the both of them like she was watching a tennis match. They were staring so hard at each other that she was scared she'd have to jump between them to prevent a fight. She didn't know what Thorn was thinking but she really hoped tht she had a plan to handle this situation. She couldn't be the mediator for this one.

After what felt like an eternity of silence in the living room, Thorn finally made her way out of her room. She quickly came to take a spot beside Angie. She looked out the door with a manufactured smile on her face. The tension around her was still very evident. She was not very composed but was still able to form words.

"Ummm.... Si Young-ah... I'll... uhh... I'll talk to you tomorrow... Uhh... We'll still have lunch.... uh.... I'd invite you in but... uhh... This is about to get awkward in two point five seconds..." Angie scoffed beside her and turned to face the older girl.

"What do you mean two point five seconds? It's already awkward!" Thorn quickly slapped her hand over the younger girls mouth and bowed towards Si Young.

"I'll uh... I'll talk to you tomorrow..." Thorn quickly walked to the door and closed it as Si Young walked away bidding her goodbye with a slight bow. She closed the door and turned back to the living room while slightly looking down. When she lifted her eyes she found herself looking into Junhyuk's hurt eyes. "... Hi...."

Junhyuk simply turned his back on her and stormed off to the balcony leaning up against the railing staring up to the sky. Thorn sighed and rubbed her eyes with one hand. What was she supposed to do now. When she finally removed her hand she quickly rounded on Angie.

"Why is he here?" To say that Thorn was angry was definitely an understatement. She was furious. Angie knew that she was going to avoid him until the note had blown over and she could be friends with him again. So why would she do this?

"Because you were leaving me alone for dinner. You know I hate to eat alone," Angie gave Thorn the most innocent look that she could muster.

"But why didn't you just ask San? Why the whole group?" Thorn shot back thinking she had won.

"Because it'd be rude to ask just San over the group chat. Besides I thought they'd be gone when you got home," Angie started to pout at Thorn trying to make her forget the whole thing.

"My meeting was at two thirty! I told you that! Why did you think I'd be out so late!? It's eight o'clock now!" Thorn knew that her anger might be a bit misplaced but she couldn't help but be at least a little angry at Angie. If she hadn't invited the whole damn group over it wouldn't have turned out this way.

"Oh... You said two thirty? I thought that you were going to dinner later! You don't say dinner at two thirty!" Angie was getting defensive now and Thorn knew that if she didn't end this soon she'd be on the receiving end of one of Angie's pointless rants.

"Oh my god! We went to dinner at five! A normal ing hour!" Thorn saw it happen. Angie's expression went from calm to full on ghetto. Or at least what they called ghetto. Angeliqua was coming out.

"Well damn! I thought dinners were longer! Did y'all just scarf down your food? Did you not talk at all? Did you just hit up the local McDonalds? You too cheap to go to a nice dinner? Damn!" Angie turned and headed back to the living room. She was definitely going to keep using her perfected defense mechanism. She knew if she didn't that Thorn might attack her later. "Was it ing food vendors? Did you just eat the free samples at the super market?"

The boys in HotShot all turned to look at the small girl that had sat back down next to San and the taller one that walked to stand over her. They stared at them hard trying to figure out exactly what was happening but ended up just looking at them like they had three heads since they were having this full exchange in English.

"Couldn't go somewhere nice? Giriboy's banking, you gonna be banking soon... Why don't you treat yourself like god... Mr. Krabbs over here complaining about money and ... Don't even know why you gonna choose him if he's gonna be a cheap ... Junhyuk'd treat you better like damn... At least he'd take you out some place nice..." Angie muttered under her breath and Thorn simply shook her head at her.

"What the ... This dumb ..." Angie just started eating again and stopped every now and then to mumble some more.

"What was it the convenience store? Some instant noodles? Some quick snack dinner? Damn I didn't tell you to take the cheap ... What the hell you doin'? Why can't you find someone that takes care of you? Like damn.... Why he actin' like he's ashamed of you?" Thorn shook her head again and headed back into her room shutting the door and going to collapse on her bed.

What was she going to do? She couldn't very well explain this to Junhyuk as if she hadn't wanted to kiss Si Young. She had really wanted to kiss him for a long time before she had even met him honestly. Thorn had always loved him. His music had been there with her through her hardest times and he was just everything she could have ever asked for in a man. He was charming and nice. Not to mention he was just so damn cute when he was embarrassed. What could she possibly say to make Junhyuk feel any better about the situation? She couldn't tell him she didn't want to be with Si Young. She sighed one more time and fell back onto her bed curling into her blankets and pillows.

In the living room, Angie turned to look as Thorn shut her door. Angie let out a sigh in relief. 'Oh thank god.. She's gone...' Angie couldn't help but think that when she heard the door close. When she turned back to the boys sitting around the coffee table they were all looking at her like she had lost her mind.

"No guys you don't understand. This is how I stay alive. If I didn't do this I would have been dead like a long time ago... Like really though. If it wasn't for this tactic we never would have been together San... We have to make sacrifices sometimes... I sacrificed my ability to look sane..." Angie laid her head onto San's shoulder and he simply shook his head and chuckled.

"Whatever just eat your food. You've barely even gotten anything to eat. I don't want you getting sick because you skipped a meal," Angie smiled softly at him and continued to eat her Valentina covered ddukbokki. They all ate to their hearts content figuring that maybe Junhyuk just needed some time to process what all was going on. Angie couldn't help but cast the poor boy some sad glances. He really didn't deserve to be this hurt but she knew there was nothing that she could say or do that would fix this at this point. He'd just have to take some time and eventually move on. Even if Thorn hadn't directly told her, Angie knew that she was fully infatuated with Giriboy and that unfortunately when Thorn was focused on something there was nothing in this world that could distract her.

It was going to be a long time before the awkwardness surrounding Junhyuk and Thorn dissipated but Angie hoped it would happen sooner rather than later. She really liked spending time with the HotShot boys and that wasn't going to happen if she was having to be the go between for Junhyuk and Thorn. It would just be too hard to keep them around. Though Angie was determined to lessen the awkwardness as much as possible considering that she could now say that she was San's girlfriend. She was going to do everything in her power to make sure that nothing could separate them and if this riff between Thorn and Junhyuk did, she would never forgive Thorn. It was going to be hard but no matter what she would fix this. She would.
