Why?

Crimson Dreams

Leo never told him he was a hunter.

Jiro found out by himself.

It happened one day when Jiro was looking for his wallet and found Leo's hidden objects...on top of bloody clothes.

High school. He thought to himself. He's been killing vampires since he was fourteen.

Ashame, he felt, as he couldn't inherit the blood like his brother.

Sorrow, he felt, as he couldn't share the pain and burden as his brother.

Pathetic, he felt, as he couldn't be like this brother.

No one was there for Leo. It was his fight against the world of cruel bloodsuckers.

No one inherited the blood of the hunters. But Leo was damned with it.

The agony, the pain, the sorrow he felt for his brother.

"Hyung," he cried. "I'm sorry."

Leo, his lovely brother who shared a wombed with him.

Leo, his lovely brother who was there for him.

Leo, his lovely brother who would always talked about his problems to him.

Leo, his lovely brother who was no long his brother had died at fourteen.

Leo, his lovely brother who went through a lot to protect him.

"Bloodsuckers," he mummbled.

Hyeri. His love. His lover. She who lied to him. She who he was about to marry.

"Disgusting."

The woman who said she love him.

The woman who followed him around during high school to get his attention.

The woman who followed him to college.

Her first kiss with him. Her first love with him. Her first was him.

And this woman lied to him.

"Disgusting." he repeated.

And he thought about all these hateful things about her, hoping his hate would go deeper and deeper, embe itself into his skin, carve it into his heart.

But he was only fooling himself.

"Why?" he asked himself.

Why must is be Hyeri?

Why must he choose between Leo and Hyeri?

"WHY!" he asked himself.

And a woman's spirt wrapped her arms around Jiro's shaken body, kissing his temples and answered his question.

Because you were crimson-kissed.
