Ch. 1: Dust & Flower
The Story of Hwayang and YeonhwaChapter 1: Dust & Flower
The young man was already up before the rooster could wake the whole village. He was the early riser in his small family of a younger brother, loving mother, and hardworking father. Every morning, he would start his routine by washing up, making breakfast for his family, waking them up to get ready for the day and eat, and heading off to the farm to work. Then, he would return home and help his mother sell her embroidery clothes and accessories.
Unlike most ordinary citizens, he enjoyed his simple life. He didn’t mind overworking himself to provide for his family, and he definitely didn’t mind taking the risky chances for them. As long as they were well fed and happy, then he was satisfied.
He was also well known throughout the town. With his kind heart and strong dignity, he was always respected and admired for not only doing what he could to help himself and his family, but the people in the village, too.
Although he was a commoner and belonged in the poor lower-class, he had the features and appearance like a nobleman. He looked like a baby at times with his big, brown eyes, high nose bridge, and sharp lips. He had dark brown hair that was half tied up and only up to his firm chest. He also was not too tall and thin, but he appeared enough to look like a fine, healthy, young man.
And his name was Yoon Hwayang.
The heiress opened her eyes as soon as she felt someone shake her up
