Hide and Seek
STOP ITSTOP IT -5-
[ HIDE & SEEK ]
It was a blessing time since GOT7 had finished their schedule earlier. They were watching Running Man together in the living room. Jaebum noticed Youngjae was so immersed at the games. He laughed so hard with the members.
“I wish we could play hide and seek just like Running Man, hyung.” Youngjae excitedly said.
“And Jaebum hyung will be Kim Jongkook sunbaenim.” Yugyeom giggled.
“Why?” Jaebum asked him confused.
“Of course, hyung. You are the one who will search for us,” Jackson said.
“For schedule or practice.” Bambam added.
Jaebum was about to question it again, but he heard Youngjae simply said, “Because you are scary, hyung.” Jaebum stared hard at him before grabbing his hand, making the younger looked at him questionably.
“Am I really that scary?” He asked Youngjae seriously, low enough for only Youngjae who heard it.
“Yes. Sometimes.” Youngjae admitted. Jaebum was in the middle of thinking while the members were joking around about being the cast of Running Man.
Soon, it was night time and they headed to their room to take their rest. Jaebum walked in to the bedroom after showering only to find Youngjae was already sleeping. His body invaded the bed. He let a sigh as he forcefully rolled him a bit to get some space. Youngjae shifted a bit before hugging his favorite plush. Jaebum couldn’t help but to think about what Youngjae said earlier. Me? Being Jongkook sunbaenim?
Sun was shining so bright that Jaebum abruptly woke up and realized that Youngjae wasn’t beside him anymore. He took a quick shower then directly headed to the company for practicing.
He expected them to practice, not waiting for him. But, the reality was no one in the practicing room. He let a sigh as he plopped his body on the couch in the corner of the room.
“Where are they going?” He mumbled, asking himself. He jumped a little to the sound of single tone. He opened his phone. Youngjae messaged him.
From: Sunshine, Youngjae <3[10.57] Jaebum hyung, we are playing hide and seek now. You have to find us. Come and find me, hyung. <3
“Do they really?” he sighed. It was the best option, playing with the others than having practice alone. He typed a quick reply.
To: Sunshine, Youngjae <3[11.00] I will come. Wait for me.
He began to search for them. In no time, he could find the five of them. They were hiding not too far from the practicing room. Now, he just had to find Youngjae. That little ball of sunshine sure was so immersed in to the game. Jaebum knew it by his heart as he kept mumbling in his sleep last night.
He almost spent the half day only to find Youngjae which failed miserably. He couldn’t find Youngjae. He thought that he sure had searched everywhere, every single room in this building. But, Youngjae wasn’t around to find. Feeling a bit annoyed and tired, he called the younger. He should lead the group for practicing, but with Youngjae’s nowhere, he began to feel anxious.
“Youngjae-ah… Please, pick the phone up.” Jaebum mumbled as he stood in the hall way. He greeted everyone who passed by him. Youngjae still didn’t pick up his phone.
Jaebum tried his luck again to call Youngjae, but still got no answer. He then left a bunch of message, hoping the younger would reply to one of his messages.
To: Sunshine, Youngjae <3[13.41] Youngjae-ah… Baby, I am tired for searching. Where are you?[13.41] Baby… Stop hiding. Come out now.[13.43] Baby… I give up. I can’t find you. You win, okay? Just come out now.[13.44] Youngjae-ah… We should begin practicing now. Come to the practicing room as soon as possible.[13.45] Baby… Please, stop it. Come to me. T.T[13.50] Youngjae-ah… Are you okay? Why don’t you reply to my messages?[14.01] Youngjae-ah… Where are you? T.T[14.05] Youngjae-ah… Please, stop this ing hide and seek. I beg you. Where are you now? Are you okay?[14.07] Youngjae… Choi Youngjae, one more time, I warned you. I am really going to be angry with you if you don’t reply to my messages in five minutes.
Jaebum read his last message. He sure that Youngjae would immediately replied him as he knew Youngjae couldn’t stand Jaebum’s anger. But, the five minutes passed quickly.
It’s been three hours now since they began the ‘hide and seek’. Jaebum couldn’t help but feel so worried and tired. He had been back and forth searching in this big building, going up and down without the elevator.
Jaebum called Youngjae again, but the lady was answering his phone this time, saying that Youngjae was out of reach. He felt so frustrated. Just he about to give up, a shine of hope comes.
“Someone locked the door to the rooftop.” One of the staff said to her friend.
“Yes, I wonder who did it. I want to eat in the rooftop though.” Her friend answered.
Hearing this, Jaebum immediately ran to the rooftop. He just realized that he didn’t search Youngjae in this rooftop. How come he forgot when Youngjae always mention the rooftop every time he talked about being alone and hiding?
Jaebum banged to the door in the not too nice manner, like he would break the door soon.
“Youngjae-ah… it’s me. Stop hiding!” Jaebum yelled, still banging to the door, but he got no answer. For a split second, he really thought that the door was locked, but he now realized that it was just there was something stuck in between the door. He immediately got rid of that and the door opened just fine.
He ran to the rooftop and searched for Youngjae. He couldn’t see Youngjae anywhere until he heard a light snore from the corner of the rooftop. The sound was coming from the huge box there. Jaebum walked closer and he found Youngjae hid in the huge box. Youngjae was sleeping peacefully there. For a second, Jaebum wanted to wake him up and scolded him a bit. But then he decided that he would just joined Youngjae in the huge box. There was some space though.
Then, he entered the box, not forget to closed it while he adjusting his body to take Youngjae in his embrace.
“Youngjae-ah… Stop hiding. Where ever you hide, I will always find you. My little ball of sunshine. I love you.” Jaebum felt so tired after searching for Youngjae and he immediately joined Youngjae in his beautiful dream.
