/STILL JEONGHAN’S POV/

Next day…

I sent a message to Seungcheol, that he doesn’t need to pick me up because I can go to school by myself. And I have a reason, I don’t want to face him right now. I don’t know why. Is it because of what just what happened to us yesterday? Maybe, yes.

I came to school early because I just want to. There are only 15 students inside the classroom when I went it. Some of them are my friends, Hoshi, Dokyeom, Woozi, Wonwoo and Mingyu.

“What’s up, Jeonghan? You’re early today.” Mingyu said

“Nothing. I just want to be early.” I said as I sat down on my chair

“Where’s Seungcheol-hyung?” Hoshi asked

“Yeah! Where is he? You’re always with him every day when you go to school, right?” Wonwoo asked

“Is there something happened?” Woozi asked

“Guys! There’s really nothing happened to us. I just want to be early.” I answered, becoming annoyed. Really! These guys.

“You sure, huh? If you have a problem with our hyung, we’re here to help.” Dokyeom said. I just nodded.

Then I saw Jisoo entered the classroom, I greeted him a good morning and he just smiled at me. I went to him and asked, “Can I be your seatmate for today?” I pointed at his seatmate’s chair

“Sure but why?” He asked as he sat on his chair

“Nothing. I just want to!” I smiled. “Just for today, Jisoo.”

“How about Seungcheol? He doesn’t have a seatmate.”
“Don’t worry about him, Jisoo. Just for today, please?” I said, with a little aegyo.

He just nodded. I got my bag from my seat and transferred beside Jisoo.

“Did you two quarrel?”

“Nothing happened on us, Hong Jisoo.” I said as I rolled my eyes. “Your seatmate must be absent. I heard she has a fever.” I added

Then I heard the door opened, I looked at who was it. It’s Choi Seungcheol. I suddenly looked away and lowered my head.

“Jeonghan’s not yet here?” I heard him asked our friends

“He’s right there. Beside Jisoo!” I looked at Mingyu, who’s pointing at me with a what’s-with-you face. Maybe because I’m not on my respective seat. He went and stood beside me and suddenly grabbed my hand and hold it. I think he’s mad already and jealous. He said, “Why are you sitting there? That’s not your seat.” I can see Jisoo looking at Seungcheol’s hold on my hand and I can feel he’s jealous now. Jisoo suddenly said to Seungcheol, “Why do you need to hold his hand?” I was a bit startled when he said that. I thought he’s just going to shut his mouth.

“Why? You jealous?” Jisoo stood up after Seungcheol asked that

“I’m not jealous! I’m just asking why do you need to hold his hand?”

“What the- because I want to! Why do you care? You don’t own him.” Seungcheol rolled his eyes. Our classmates started to look at us. What the hell? They should stop now.

“You don’t own him, too!”

“Can you please shut up?” I shouted as I stood up but they just ignored me and continue what they’re quarreling about.

“We’re friends since we were young. I know more about him than you. How about you? You just became friends with him few months ago.” Jisoo said

“I know but we kissed already.” My eyes widened on what Seungcheol just said. Is this guy crazy? How dare he to say that?

“Seungcheol-ah!” I said nervously. I don’t want others to know about that kiss.

Then Mingyu and Hoshi went beside us.

“What are you guys quarreling about?” Mingyu asked curiously

“What’s with kiss? I heard something.” Hoshi said as he scratched his head

“What kiss are you saying? It’s nothing! Go back to your seats. We can fix our problem.” I lied and chuckled a bit

“Is that so? Okay then.” Hoshi said then they went back to their seats.

Our first subject teacher came inside the classroom. Thank God! These two guys are going to stop now. The two stopped quarreling and went back to their seats but I still stayed beside Jisoo.

Dismiss time…

At the school garden…

“I’m sorry, Jisoo. But I have something to tell you.” Jeonghan said and sighed

“Just tell me all what you want to say. I’m going to listen.”
“I’m sorry because I’m with Seungcheol and I don’t have time for you anymore and-“

“You noticed that, too! I thought you didn’t.” Jeonghan’s words got cut off by Jisoo

“That’s why I’m saying sorry.”
“It’s okay. Continue!”

“I don’t have time for you anymore because of Seungcheol and…” Jeonghan bit his bottom lip. Thinking if he’s going to say his feelings

“And what?”

“I… I like Seungcheol.”

“What…?” Jisoo’s eyes widened

“I like Seungcheol. I have feelings for him.”

“Why… Why do you like him?” Jisoo asked with a shaky voice

“Because he’s very nice to me… I don’t know… I just fell in love with him.” Jeonghan sighed

“But I’m nice, too! What’s on him that I don’t have, Yoon Jeonghan?!” Jisoo is holding his tears. He really can’t accept that his best friend likes Seungcheol.

“I know, Jisoo but I really don’t know why I like him.” Jisoo can’t hold it anymore. His tears run down on his cheek and sighed.

“Why are you crying?” Jeonghan asked

“Because… It hurts, Jeonghan!”
“What do you mean?”
“I like you, Yoon Jeonghan.”

“What? But how-“

“Don’t worry about me. I’m fine!” Jisoo cut Jeonghan’s words

“I’ll never leave you, Jisoo. You’re so kind and you’re my friend.”

“Yeah. Friend. We should stay at being friends. That’s better.” Jisoo said sarcastically

“Jisoo, I’m very sorry. I don’t know that you like me, too. I’m very sorry for hurting you.”

“I’m fine. Don’t be sorry to me.” Jisoo sighed. “You should go now. Maybe Seungcheol is waiting for you outside.”
“I’m sorry, Jisoo.” Jeonghan bowed his head

“I said I’m fine. You can go now.”

Jeonghan was about to leave but Jisoo suddenly called him because Jisoo forget something to ask.

“What?” Jeonghan asked

“Is it true that… you already kissed Seungcheol?” Jeonghan just nodded on what Jisso just asked.

“Oh… Okay… You can go now…” Then Jeonghan left Jisoo at the garden.

“Why did you take so long?” Seungcheol asked when Jeonghan just came out from the garden.

“Jisoo and I just cleared something.”
“Okay… Let’s go!” Seungcheol said as he put his arm around Jeonghan’s waist

While on the way home…

“Seungcheol… Why did you kiss me yesterday?” Jeonghan asked curiously as he looked at Seungcheol

“Oh! That…” Seungcheol chuckled

“Ugh! I thought he’ll never think of it anymore.” Seungcheol thought and bit his bottom lip

“I want to know the reason, Seungcheol. Don’t just chuckle at me.” Jeonghan said and rolled his eyes

“I… I don’t know either.” Seungcheol answered as he rubbed the back of his neck.

“All things you do has reason.”

“Not all, Jeonghan.”

“I know. But I’m serious right now, Seungcheol! Please answer me honestly.”

“Jeonghan, why don’t you just believe me?” Seungcheol sighed

“Why would I believe you if you don’t want to tell the truth?”

“I really don’t have a reason why I kissed you. I just want to do it.” Because I like you, Yoon Jeonghan.

“What the- I don’t care all what you’re going to say. I’ll still wait for your reason.” Jeonghan chuckled a bit and rolled his eyes

“Naughty.” Seungcheol mumbled

“What did you say?”

“I said you’re cute.” Seungcheol smiled and pinched Jeonghan’s cheek

“Aaah! Don’t do that.” Jeonghan said as he tries to remove Seungcheol’s pinch on his cheek. He didn’t notice that he’s already blushing.

“Oh! Your cheeks are turning red.” Seungcheol said as he pointed on Jeonghan’s reddened cheeks.

“What?! No, it’s not.” Jeonghan said and touched his blushing cheeks. He can feel his cheeks are heating up.

“I can see it. How dare you to lie?!”

“Just… Nevermind! Just ignore it.”

They became silent until they reached Jeonghan’s house.

“So, see you tomorrow.” Seungcheol said as he waved his hands

“Okay. Take care!” Jeonghan smiled and waved his hands.
