Sehun felt empty.

He missed Luhan’s smiling face, he missed Luhan’s laughter, and he missed Luhan’s little kisses.

He wanted nothing more in the world than to hear Luhan’s voice.

But, the steady beat of the heart monitor was the only thing that Sehun was getting from Luhan right now.

Please be ok.

Sehun felt tender heart crack into little pieces when pushed away Luhan’s newly dyed hair.

The once smooth and pale face of Luhan was now black and blue.

His cotton candy lips were split in different places.

His button nose had been broken and re-set.

How could someone do something so cruel to such a beautiful person?

Sehun closed his eyes, and sighed

“Luhan” Sehun whispered as he took the small boy’s hand, “hello there”

Luhan blinked back at Sehun,

“Sehun, where are we?”

“we’re in the Hospital” Sehun said gently,

“oh” Luhan suddenly remembered everything that happened, and his bottom lip quivered.

“hey, hey, hey” Sehun wiped away the tears that leaked out of Luhan’s eyes, “you’re going to be ok. Suming isn’t going to bother you again”

Luhan kept crying,

“Lulu, stop crying now- or you’re going to make me cry” Sehun tried to coax Luhan into smiling,

“it’s not that” Luhan shakily said,

“then what’s upsetting you?” Sehun asked

“my face” Luhan brought his uninjured hand up to touch his nose, “I’m ugly now”

“aish Luhan-”

“you always said you loved my face” Luhan sobbed, “and now my face is ugly”

Sehun was beyond confused.

is it because of the morphine? that stuff makes people do weird things

“you’re not going to love me anymore” Luhan sobbed into his hands,

“ah” Sehun couldn’t help but smile, “Luhan come here” Sehun carefully slid into the small hospital bed, and put his arm around Luhan,

“I’m probably all blue and purple” Luhan muttered into Sehun’s chest, “you don’t even like those colors”

“Luhan, my little angel, you’re face may be bruised and broken, but I’ll still love you” Sehun lifted the crying boy’s face so that their eyes met.

“Really?”

“Of course” Sehun smiled as he wiped away Luhan’s tears. Luhan gave him a doubtful glance,

“-I promise you” Sehun added as he leaned in,

“Oh. Sehun” Luhan gave Sehun a wobbly smile, “I love you”

“I love you more" Sehun replied.

There were no words to describe how Sehun felt when his lips met with Luhan’s.

But his smile said it all.

“I’ll always love you. I promise"
