(Flashback- A week before Christmas during your 7th grade year)

You and Jongdae would always get each other the perfect gift without even having to ask each other a thing, you and Jimin happened to shopping around the mall trying to get gifts for your friends and family members

(Jimin)-Do you think Kai would like this she says holding up a watch (as they're relationship has now progressed as friends)

(You)-I mean is he a watch type of guy?

(Jimin)-Well he's been telling me that he needs one~

(You)-Well isn't that sweet of you for remembering (you said teasing her as she then elbowed you)

(Jimin)-Well what are you planning to get Jongdae this year? i liked how you two would always write each other letters since that's a gift that will never disappear, too bad you guys don't do that anymore.

(You)-I'm getting him firstly a letter since at least i still carry on that tradition and get him these Jordans he's been talking about (says with a dissappointed expression knowing that Jongdae's forgotten about that tradition since the 5th grade)

(Jimin)-What's wrong? everything ok?

(You)-Yeah i'm fine, so when are you planning to ask Kai to the winter ball?

(Jimin)-You know i can't confess to him..will you help me then ask him out on next Friday?

(You)-Of course! are you planning to make a poster or do something special?

(Jimin)-A poster with cupcakes since i love baking, which also means we'll be eating while planning!

(You)-Aigoo what would i do without you~ so you buy everything? (you said while heading to the cashier)

As you headed out the mall you saw a familiar figure walking across the other side of the mall

(Jimin)-hey isn't that Jongdae with Kai?! she said excitedly

(You)-Yeah i think so..but didn't Jongdae say he had to go somewhere with his family?

(Jimin)-Idk..why did he tell you that?

(Recalls the conversation from last night on the phone)-

(You)-So you busy tmrw?

(Jongdae)-Uhh..yea i'm planning to go somewhere with my family tmrw sorry

(You)-Ohh no it's fine i wouldn't want to ruin your family time..i was just going to ask if you wanted to go Christmas shopping with me and Jimin-ni tmrw

(Jongdae)-Ohh i wish i could..you already know what to get me right?

(You)-Of course would there be anything i didn't know about you?

(Jongdae)-That's my chingu~ well sleep tight!

(You)-Jongdae-ah remember the letter tradition we used to do? you asked suddenly

(Jongdae)-We used to do a letter tradition? sorry i must be tired since i would usually remember everything we've done together

(You)-Ahh..ok well goodnight then (you hung up the phone trying to hide your dissappointment as you looked through his past letters from 2-4th grade)

As you then came back from your flashback to answer with "no, i just thought he'd be busy like last year"

(Jimin)-should we go say hi?

(You)-(offers to go the other direction as luckily there happened to be a candy store nearby as a way to distract Jimin from walking towards Kai which meant you would have to talk to Jongdae)

A couple days later

You've been trying to figure out why Jongdae would've lied to you to come up with one conclusion-"that he purposefully lied to you to buy to you  and JImin a christmas gift"

(Your thoughts)-You troll Kim Jongdae why didnt you just tell me (hoping deep inside that was the reason why he lied to you, otherwise you would get hurt since you were the type that held grudges although you wouldn't show it)

At school~

(You)-Jimin-ah!

(Jimin)- yeah? what's up?

(You)-Did you happen to talk to Jongdae after we saw him at the mall, he's been acting suspicious lately~

(Jimin)-No i haven't actually although that day we saw him and Kai at the mall i overheard them talking about buying a gift for this girl named "Wendy" (let me see those Chendy shippers comments down below!)

(You)-Wendy? who's that does she go to our school?

(Jimin)-Not sure, but don't worry im sure no one could ever take your place as the future wife of Kim Jongdae she says teasing you as usual

(You)-Yah! don't say that and i told you that i don't like him that way!

(Jimin)-Hahah ik it's just that your reaction gets better everytime

(You)-So are we offically going to start the poster for the Winter Ball proposal for Kai?

(Jimin)-Yeah come over to my place around 3 and can you buy some frosting on your way over? I accidently ate it all again^^

(You)-Alright, shall we go dress shopping for you tmrw?

(Jimin)-Yaas let's go to the mall!

(You)-Alright well firstly i'll meet you at three later (you said before noticing Jongdae coming out from his class with kai and headed towards the library) asking yourself "why am i hiding from him?"

so then to make sure that he wouldn't lie to you again you decided to head towards the other side of the school where you could see him walking alone and called him

(Jongdae)-Hey! where are you?

(You)-Umm just near the library listen could i ask you something?

(Jongdae)-Yeah should i come meet u near the library (he says as you could see him walking towards the library)

(You)-No, it's fine and what i wanted to ask you was why did you lie to me?

(Jongdae)-What are you talking about? Where are you right now?

(You)-Are you seriously playing dumb right now? I saw you at the mall with Kai on the day you so-called said you were busy to hang out with me and Jimin since you said you had to go somewhere with your family.

(Jongdae)-Ok, let me find you and talk this out

(You)-I don't want you to find me~ just tell me the truth

(hears him hang up the phone)

until you suddenly heard someone yell out your name "Jung Yumi!"

(You)-Seriously i'm so done with you right now, i got you these for nothing (gives him the Jordans) you said before walking away

(Jongdae)-turn around and face me (he says as you could hear him walk towards you)

(You)-So are you going to tell me or what?

(Jongdae)-"takes out a necklace from his pocket and puts it on your neck", "i lied to you because i knew how much you've wanted this necklace and i didn't have the money so i had to work shifts that day at the mall with Kai to finally have enough to then buy the necklace and i didn't want to tell you that since it was embarrassing" he said as you two were standing closer to each other than usual

(You)-Omg i don't know what to say

(Jongdae)-May i suggest the words "thank you"

(You)-thank you Jongdae-ah i'm sorry for doubting you~

(Jongdae)-No worries i promise to never hurt or lie to you again~
