(In Jongdae's POV)

(His thoughts before he was drunk)-"Where is Yumi?", "Is she even at this party?"

He then was interupted by his friends calling for him

(EXO as he calls them)-"Hey where's the cake?"

(Jongdae)-Hey where's my present?

They all then handed their presents one by one as Wendy then continued to welcome in the guests

The nights continued to darken as all he was trying to do was find you until it finally came to him that he should ask Wendy who would've known every guest ( at this point he was drunk)

(Jongdae)-Hey babe, could i look over the guest list real quick

(Wendy)-Yeah sure but why you asking? since the party is almost over "Kim Jongdae are you drunk again?"

(Jongdae)-INo..he said covering his mouth, i need to find someone that's all (he said before he was walking off to find you next to a guy he absolutely despiced for taking his position) he then after finding you pulls you into the basement locking the door

(A/N: I won't continue on with what happened in the basement since you guys already now so let's skip to the part you're all dying for which is where we last left off of when you headed out the door)

(In your pov)-

You headed out the door trying to hide in your tears but you simply couldn't, knowing that you two weren't probably meant to be in the first place, but at that same time you wanted it to be~ You wanted him to come out and pull you into his arms telling you he never meant to say those words, and that he's waited all this time for this moment as much as you've had.

You eventually found your way upstairs to find Joshua as you explained to Wendy which she understood  and apologized (in place of Jongdae) after sighing with the comment "I  knew i shouldn't have let him drink until next year" before heading down to get him home

On your way to Joshua's car

(Joshua)-What happened? Did he hurt you? he then knowing that you were clearly hurt by the way you couldn't face, pulled you into his embrace where you felt the safest

(You)-Do you really love me?

(Joshua)-Of course i do and i will always

(You)-I'm glad to hear that you said smiling

Meanwhile with Wendy dragging her drunk boyfriend upstairs

(Wendy)-What were you thinking are you crazy?

(Jongdae)-Seungwan-ah i'm sorry but i don't think i love you anymore

(Wendy)-What? what are you saying...how i mean what do you mean you don't love me anymore are you saying that all the times we've spent together meant nothing to you? (she said about to cry) oppa don't do this~ i love you

(Jongdae)-I'm sorry but i don't deserve someone like you, and no it's always been meaningful to me the times we've spent will always be unforgettable, im sorry for being a bad guy but this is for the best for the both of us

As he tried to walk away Wendy suddenly held his hand not letting go

(Wendy)-Is it because of that girl? is she your first love? just answer this and i'll let you go

(Jongdae)-Seungwan-ah i-(he said before he was interupted by her)

(Wendy)-Just answer me don't say your sorry..i don't need your sympathy

(Jongdae)-Yes she is my first love and has been my childhood friend

(Wendy)-You can leave now (she said walking away from him coldly)

A couple days later

You and Joshua were being lovey-dovey as usual but you've noticed that Wendy was now hanging around with another guy that wasn't Jongdae around campus

Although you and Jongdae were still on bad terms a little piece of yourself still worried about him (in a friendly way of course...right?)

(Joshua)-What would my potato like for lunch? (he said looking at you in your classic oversized hoodie and sweatpants)

(You)-You want to go out to eat don't you? (you said looking at your hungry boyfriend who's been nagging you for food in the past hour as you ignored him due to your studies)

(Joshua)-Please i mean you can just stay here with me heading out to buy food with your card (he said pouting adorably attempting to bring out his inner aegyo)

(You)-Last time you used my card you almost used over 200 dollars yeah i don't think so, i'm coming with you

(He then happily gave you a back hug while he got his car keys)

The two of you drove towards a common korean outdoor restaurants since it was pretty late and the two of you weren't that hungry (well you at least weren't while you watched your boyfriend eat like he's starved)

(You)-Jagiya eat slowly you're going to choke on your food again like last time (you said while wiping away the sauce on his face from the bulgogi)

(Joshua)-So Yumi-ah did you hear about Jongdae and Wendy breaking up? he suddenly stated out of the blue

(You)-What are you talking about? SInce when?

(Joshua)-I found out a couple days ago but it seems that they ended on rather bad terms

(You)-That's too bad although he kinda deserves it~ (you said the last part mummbling)

(Joshua)-Apparently they broke up because Jongdae still has feelings left for his previous childhood bestfriend (he said knowing it was you)

(You)-Joshua you know that i will always and only be yours, i'll never leave you (you said reassuring him that so he won't worry)

(Joshua)-Can i least know if you ever had feelings for him truly ever in your life?

(You)-Joshua..please is that really important like i've been saying i love you

(Joshua)-Do you really?

(You)-Of course (you said stuttering as if you were possibly hesitating on the question)

(Joshua)-I can tell you right now that you're lying..what is your heart really telling you

(You)-What are you talking about?

(Joshua)-Don't play that game with me, i want the truth, if you can't even tell me that then i guess our relationship was just a lie, i think its best if we let eachother go

He said before he headed out in tears

(His thoughts)-"you did the right thing, keeping them apart was never something that would've denied their fate"

Little did you know why he was acting like this

(You to Jimin)-Me and Joshua broke up today (you said crying in her arms)

(Jongdae to Joshua)-Let her go (he says as the two fight it out)

(Joshua)-Why did you let her go then you lost your chance since the past is the past, you know you've got it bad since you just lost your precious girlfriend and bestfriend..what is beating me up going to do for you?

(Jongdae)-I'll get her back somehow, so get out of my way you've had your fun giving her false hope

What does Jongdae mean by false hope? Will your relationship with Joshua just end like this?
