You Want Me
Don't you?

Wants 026
I want you to look into her, I have a bad feeling about this.

Mark was probably going to pull an all-nighter with Jaebum. Jaebum's father had left for an emergency meeting, and they're left to deal with the mountain of document exchanges and contract signatures. They didn't seem like they were going to complain about it, but Jackson, who had been warming the same chair for the entire day thought differently.

"Ah! I'm sick of this!" Jackson whined and threw the pen to the table. "Why am I here anyway? I'm not even part of this!"

"Honestly?" Jinyoung raised an eyebrow. "I had no idea. Why are you here again?" He asked. Of course Jinyoung would be here. He's the hotel attorney, like it or not, he had to be here. But Jackson... He wasn't all too sure why he was here in the first place.

"Just shut up and do your job." Mark mumbled as he reads through the documents. "And get out of here if you hate this so much, Wang Jackson."

"So mean." Jackson pouted. "I bet you won't act this way if Jiae was here."

Secretary Kim stiffened, eyes widened at Jackson for hitting the button again. He had witnessed how his boss's expression darkens the moment they mention Jiae's name just this morning, and to be honest, he didn't think that he'll want to see it again. He could be a little too protective of Jiae, but the look on his face was just all-damn-scary to be ignored.

"Just shut up and work." Mark groaned and glared at Jackson. The young lad just wouldn't shut up. He thought, while Jaebum simply chuckled at their bickering.

"Still the same, it seems." He commented as he places another document to Mark. "Nothing changed." Jinyoung grinned and tapped his fingers on the glass surface. "Everything's still the same as when we were in university."

Jaebum smiled and turned to Secretary Kim. "You should rest. We'll be fine on our own." He said. But Secretary Kim frowned. "But-"

"Mark wouldn't keep you here." Jackson shrugged and looked at Mark. He wasn't going to protest either, because having Secretary Kim here is just... A bother. He nodded at Secretary Kim. "You can leave." He said, and Secretary Kim bowed gratefully in response. "I'll be here on time tomorrow, director! Have a good night!"

And he left.

"He ran as quick as a thunderbolt." Jinyoung commented, whistling as he leans back against his seat. "So when will we be done?" He asked, and Jaebum sighed. "Not so soon." He said.

"Boring." Jackson huffed and pushed the documents away. "I'm not looking at this anymore." He shivered and looked away.

"Try working in my office." Jinyoung clicked his tongue. "I'll give you an encyclopedia sized folder."

"I'll reject that offer." Jackson raised both his hands in defeat. "Let's take a break." He grinned at the two. "So, how's the progress with Jiae, Mark?" He asked. "We want details."

Mark frowned. "I need to work, get off." He said, but the latter took the file out of his hand. "Talk, Mark. Stop signing your life away."

"There is nothing to talk about." He groaned and glared at Jackson. "There was no progress."

"Lies." Jinyoung smirked. "Bambam said he saw marks. He had to force her to take a day off just to make sure she won't force herself to work."

Not that again. He furrowed his eyes at his friends. Jaebum was the only one who didn't know what's going on. Jaebum blinked his eyes, looking from left to right in hopes for someone who would at least explain the situation to him.

"What's going on?" Jaebum asked. "Isn't Jiae-ssi someone Mark hired. At least, that's what I heard from Jackson."

"She is." Jackson snickered. "That doesn't mean he can't... Have fun."

"I did not." Mark let out a long grunt. His friends wouldn't listen. Jinyoung snorted. "Yeah, right. And the red mark was a..." His hand made a flying motion, and landed on Jaebum's neck.

"Ouch! What the-" He pinched Jaebum's neck and grinned. "... Bug bite." Jinyoung said and propped his hand on the table. "Totally."

Mark sighed. He really couldn't go against Jinyoung. Exactly who taught him that? He cursed inwardly and slammed the next document to the desk. He'll just ignore them and continue with his work. Unlike them, he just want to finish his work so that he can go home.

"I don't think that's a good thing though." Jaebum's words caught his attention. He looked up and frowned at his friend. What was he trying to say? He pursed his lips and waited for the man to continue.

"I mean, it's all an act." Jaebum sighed. "In the end, she was just acting. She can't be real."

"Feelings grow." Jinyoung said. "Who wouldn't fall for that face?" He snorted, and Jackson laughed.

"But that'll make it worse." Jaebum frowned. "That means she wasn't serious about it."

"I mean, I'm not the one to judge but... What if she's not who you think she is?" Jaebum said. "You don't know anything about her, right?"

Mark paused. Jaebum's assumptions should be considered. He was right, Mark doesn't know anything about Jiae. It was only recently that he found out that she had a brother. But that was about it. It took her about a month to tell him that, how long will it take for him to get to know her? Two years will be too short then, and they'll be drifted apart then.

Why are you even considering it? His brows furrowed uncomfortably. "I'm not into her." Lies. He honestly wasn't sure. He was sure that he was physically attracted to her. She is an attractive woman after all. But if it were something else, he wasn't all too sure. It was comfortable to be with her. It was nice to know that she'll be waiting for him at home. The feeling was good, it was refreshing. But that was about it.

Probably.

Mark shook his head and got up from his seat.

"Where are you going?" Jaebum asked, and Mark pulled out his phone. "Call." He said and hit the green button.

He can hear Jackson's snicker and Jinyoung's snort at the background, but he had ignored everything and left the meeting room.

Chapter 11: chapter 10 : this story is not logic at all hdhdjsjs but i'm not complaning. Their relationship is too natural and how do i say it? It's impossible to be so friendly and lovey dovey to a stranger that you're going to marry right? Or maybe it's just how Jiae bright and strong personality works. The plot is pretty cliche but i like the characters. Love how you potrayed them!
