“Okay, we went to every nightclub he usually goes to and he wasn’t there. Are you sure she said nightclub?” I asked.

“Yeah that’s what it says right here.” She said as she pointed at the note Wendy had left her.

It clearly said “I’m going to a club with Seungri.” But there was no sign of them in any club.

“Don’t worry. He’s not careless he’ll take care of her.” I said with a hint of doubt. He would take care of her but he was a bit careless.

“I know. I just don’t want her to get in trouble in case they’re at the wrong place at the wrong time.”

I understood her concerns. I was going to kill him when I saw him.

“It’ll be okay.” I said smiling lightly at her and holding her hand tighter.

“Thank you for helping me. I know you were probably busy.”

“No. I’ll always have time for you.” I replied looking straight into her eyes, hoping that she’d see my sincerity. She looked away with a blush on her face and I couldn’t help but smile. We passed near the Han River and saw two people sitting near the edge. I parked the car thinking it was Seungri and Wendy but when we got near them it wasn’t them. The night was beautiful and the moonlight reflected on the water illuminated everything perfectly. I envied the couple near the river. I looked at Joohyun and noticed our hands were intertwined, I wondered if she knew this. I stopped and observed her profile under the moonlight, she kept walking but I pulled her back towards me and caught her into a hug.

“I know you don’t want to be near me, but I want you to know that all I want to do is be near you.” I whispered. “I don’t know what happened to me but ever since I first saw you, you had this affect on me and every time I’m near you I forget about my pain and loneliness. Is it weird that you give me peace? Something I haven’t felt in a long time.” I continued. I lifted her face up so I could look into her eyes. I kissed her forehead and I felt her tears fall and that’s when I felt her hug me back. We held on to each other quietly for awhile until she finally spoke.

“This is bad.” She whispered.

“Bad for whom?”

“For us.”

“I’m willing to take the risk for you. That’s how important you’ve become.” I told her looking into her eyes. I leaned down and kissed her softly, she didn’t pull back, a long soft kiss that left us both breathless.

“I may have a lot of baggage, but with you by my side I can do anything. I’ll carry both our baggage and deal with every obstacle like a man.” I told her confidently. She smiled lightly and looked at me with her sad eyes.

“What if I can’t do it?”

I chuckled lightly.

“From what I’ve learned you’re strong, confident, and sometimes bold.” I told her while I caressed her cheek.

“With you I feel confident enough to take on the world.”  She said and leaned up to kiss me. This time the kiss deepened and I could feel her soft tongue against mine. I held on to her tighter not wanting to let this moment go. It was a meaningful kiss, full of emotion. Not with the urgency to get to a private place, I can honestly say I’ve never been kissed like this before.

“I told you it was going to work! Nights like this are really romantic.” I heard Seungri whispering.

“You were so right!” Wendy replied giggling.

Joohyun broke away from the kiss first and I felt half my heart leave with her but I guess now kissing wasn’t important.

“You’re so dead Wendy!” Joohyun yelled.

Seungri came out from behind a tree first and I could see a smaller someone hiding behind him.

“It was my idea.” Seungri said calmly.

“It doesn’t matter whose idea it was. It was a very dangerous one. What if someone saw you?” Joohyun yelled again.

“Okay, us hanging out together is bad but you two making out in the middle of the street isn’t?” Seungri asked with a smirk.

“Alright, alright let’s get out of the street before someone really does see us.” I said.

“I’ll take Wendy home.” Seungri stated while grabbing her by the hand. I knew Joohyun saw it too because fell open.

“No. We’re taking a taxi.” Joohyun told him as calmly as she could but I saw the fire in her eyes. I didn’t know why it bothered her it was just surprising to me. I knew it had no meaning because Seungri was nice and friendly to everyone.

“I’ll go with my unnie, thank you, tonight was fun,” Wendy told him quietly.

Seungri nodded and let her go. Wendy walked slowly towards us and I swear I saw her pouting a bit. I hugged Joohyun tightly.

“I’ll talk to him and text you later. Don’t worry okay?” I whispered in her ear.

“I’m not worried. We just can’t let them have all the fun.” She replied with a smile.

I kissed her forehead and called a taxi for them. When they were gone I finally turned to my mischievous maknae.

“You thought this was the best thing?”

“Hyung you would’ve taken a year trying to perfect a plan to woo her. Love is more spontaneous than that.” He told me while patting my back.

I gritted my teeth. I hated it when he was right.

“Do you think she’s really mad?” He asked me.

“Why would she be? You were just trying to get us together. I’m sure you won’t bother the girls again.”

“Right.” He simply said with a tight smile.

On my drive home I couldn’t help but be overjoyed about how things turned out. My heartbeat would speed up every time I would think about our kiss. Joohyun was really someone wonderful who came into my life at the perfect time. I don’t ever want to mess this up.
