an 'idea'

There was a slight pause in the conversation as everyone stood around waiting for the last member to arrive in the little group. Well at least until Jiyeon broke the silence.

“I have an idea.”

It turned a few heads towards her, well everyone but Seyeon who’d spaced out and was blankly staring at the white walls.

“An idea? About what?” Misoo looked at her partner, they were the same age and were fairly close having met previously through vocal and dance lessons.

“Everybody So Jiyeon, otherwise known as Xiao Yue has an idea. Can you give some insight to what it is Miss So?” She held up her hand, holding a straight face as she faked being a reporter.

Jiyeon catching straight on, flicked her hair back and nodded proudly as she looked towards the group.

“Imagine, when Jungah comes back...” She florished her hands around, gesturing off into the ‘distance’ that was really an abstract artpiece behind her. “We pretend we have been collected because we are in trouble, but...” Jiyeon trailed off, pausing her words.

The group had fully focused on the woman now, who was slowly leaning in and coming within a hairs width of everyone elses faces except her reporter Misoo not fazed in the slightest by how weird it may have looked.

“Then we clap and scare her, it’ll all be good fun yeah?” Jiyeon just clapped, snapping back and laughing loudly even snorting a little.

“Actually wait you mean Jeon Jungah? Like the tiny little... Wait she was selected?” Sooyun said, completely disregarding the previous dramatics of Misoo and Jiyeon.

“Yes?” Misoo questioned, looking at the younger weirdly.

“But she is technically taller than you.” Seoyul quipped, crossing her hands across her chest as she looked down at the maknae. The quick wit of the leader having Sooyun pout a little.

Truthfully Sooyun got along with Jungah, most of the time. But Jungah had a temper that usually sparked with Sooyun’s personality at times, which led most of their disagreements.

“But back to the idea, you two, Injeong and Sooyun would make great variety personalities.” Seyeon imputted quietly, still blank faced as she turned to look at the younger members of her group.

“But like I said before Seyeon-sshi...” Seoyul threw a look to the eldest, attracting the attention of all the girls.

“What did you say before?” Another voice piped in behind them, turning the entire group around. Jungah standing innocently at the entrance of the corridor leading back from the bathrooms.

“Nothing, but anyway we have found our group.” Jiyeon said, moving to whisk her away to the centre of the group.

“But sadly... It’s...” Injeong joined in, putting on a dramatic show whilst faking misery.

“Are we in trouble? Am I in trouble?” Jungah’s eyes widened at the news, trying to look around but being held in place by Jiyeon and Injeong at the sides, and Misoo at the back as they had her looking away from the members who weren’t quite cooperating and towards Minhyuk who was barely holding it in.

And by cooperating, it meant Seoyul and Seyeon who looked as blank as ever and Sooyun trying to stifle her snickers behind them unable to hold this little secret practical joke for much longer.

“I’m Minhyuk, the trouble you’ve seemed to gotten into is.. Well... You’ve been accepted into 2015’s new girl group!” Minhyuk started off slowly, barely able to hold in the smile before it broke out and left him cheering.

“New girl group? I love all of you!” Jungah laughed, brushing aside the previous panic from the joke. Jiyeon was the first to embrace her, and the just sat fangirling for a little.

“Now I have all the princesses together, we can go and visit Sooman seongsang-nim!”
