Establishing pursuit
Yixing can never be Lay! : Double LivesSomehow despite herself, Lana agreed to a dinner date with Sehun. Sehun and Lana were chatting happily as usual and perhaps flirting casually, then somehow Sehun managed to charm/manipulate Lana into a date that she can't refused without seeming cruel.
"How do you find the confit? Bon or tres bon? " Sehun asks Lana.
"You did not lie. This is THE best duck confit I've had! Sooo good!" Lana responds in amazement.
"Certainly. I did promised you the best afterall. And I did say you would not regret joining me. But thanks Lana, for accompanying me to dinner. Otherwise it would had been another dreary evening. Just lonely ole me. At home. Having lonely telly dinner. Instead, I am here now. Enjoying this lovely French meal I have been craving for and in the accompaniment of an even lovelier date!" Sehun speaks smoothly.
Lana blushes at the compliment but wonders inwardly at the truthfulness of Sehun's smooth-talking. She thinks there is no way a goodlooking, rich, successful eligible bachelor like Sehun would be stuck at home having sad, lonely dinners. He probably has scores of girls willing to be ready dinner dates at the drop of a hat! But Lana chooses not to disagree with Sehun and plays along.
She takes in the romantic atmosphere of the restaurant and ponders if the setting is a coincidence. Are they having a candle-lit dinner date because it just happens to serve "The best duck confit"? Or did Sehun deliberately select this intimate restaurant for their dinner date? If so, why? Is Sehun really interested in her? But why her? While Lana is not gonna fake modesty and deny that she is attractive in her own way, she is realistic that there are also plenty other pretty, and prettier single girls in the office. And how about Yuri? Sehun passed up the attractive and y, not to mention, readily available and highly interested Yuri for her? Why?
"This margaux is not going to drink itself." Sehun smiles at Lana as he pours more of the expensive bottle of Chateaux Margaux into her glass.
"Cheers!" Lana gamely clinks her glass with Sehun.
"Cin cin!" Sehun replies and drinks deeply, while Lana sips gingerly from hers. Sehun sees it and tsk-tsks Lana.
"Well, this is my second glass. I really shouldn't be drinking. I barely nursed my hangover this morning!" Lana explains.
"Mon cherie, have you not heard of the hair of the dog?" Sehun counters.
"Getting over a hangover with even more alcohol? I don't believe in that logic!" Lana laughs.
"Right. How about I promise you another bottle of that elixir I served you this morning? It will cure another hangover brilliantly, should you get it again? Meanwhile, let us enjoy our vino? Just help me out with one more glass here? Then I can finish the rest of this bottle?" Sehun cajoles and Lana gives in.
After they cleared their mains and desserts while chatting about work and common interests, Sehun convinced Lana to indulge in one, just one tiny glass of whiskey, as digestif, to round off a hearty dinner.
