[Taehyung's POV]

'Go upstairs !' Hana pushed me to the staircase. I was on the second step when she pulled me back. 'No ! He's going to sit on the reading area. He'll see you getting out !' 

'Where do you want me to go then ?' The sound of the bells gets more frequent. Her dad was obviously impatient. Hana face turned paler.

'You need to be downstairs so it'll be easier for me to get you out. Oh ! In the store. Get in there.' Hana said pointing at a door underneath the stairs. I opened the door and quickly get in. The light was off but I could still see because there's many lines on the door as it was a blind door. It's the kind of a door that allow someone from the inside a look of the outside but not vice versa. I had a clear view of the living room from the inside.

I looked around and saw that there isn't many stuff in the storage room. My head turned to look outside when I heard the front door was opened.

'What's taking you so long ?! I waited like an idiot in front of my house !' Mr. Kang yelled at Hana. 'Do you enjoy making me look stupid, huh ?' 

Taehyung closed his eyes as he saw Mr. Kang's hand went up. He only opened it once he heard the slap. He saw Hana on the floor, holding her right cheek. 

'I'm sorry. I was upstairs.' Hana's trembling voice was so low.

'Stop giving me excuses, useless. I should've threw you on the street when your mother left you with me ! No wonder that wouldn't take you along, she knew you're a burden.' Mr. Kang spat at Hana.

I was shocked by Mr. Kang's words. Did Hana's mother left her ? Is that why she's never around ? Did she took Hanbin with her and left Hana with her dad ? My head hurts just thinking about it.

'I'm sorry.' The only words that came out of Hana's mouth. I want to go and take her out of here but I knew that won't do any good.

'I'm hungry. Bring me food.' Mr. Kang said as he sat on the couch. Hana's face was paler that it was before. There's no food ! 

'I'm sorry. I, I thought that you're, well you...you're not going to be home until later tonight.' She stuttered, fear was obvious in her voice. I was suddenly so scared for her too.

'What did you say ? So you're telling me you didn't cook ?' He went to Hana and slapped her face. 'There's nothing for me to eat ?' He pushed Hana against the wall. My hand was trembling as I tried to hold my thinning patients. 

'I'm sorry.' 

'Is that all you can say ?' He pulled her hair, hard. 'I came home tired !'

My hand was holding the doorknob. I was so close to opening it and slam his head on the wall but then I thought of how that will just makes everything worse. Hana wasn't crying, I realized. She just look stoic, emotionless. 

'I'm out if here.' Mr. Kang said as he grabbed his briefcase. He went to Hana. 'When I get back, I want food on the table. Understand ?' He pushed Hana's head back with his index finger until her head hit the wall. Hana just nod.

Mr. Kang went out the door and slammed it hard. Taehyung watched as Hana exhaled a breath of relief. Her hair was a mess. Her cheek was reddening, it'll surely left a bruise. I was still too shocked to move. 

Hana seemed to remember that I was in the storage room. She made her way to me. I was nervous all of a sudden. What do I say after seeing that ? 

'I'm sorry you have to see that. I didn't knew he was in a bad mood.' She opened the door. I wanted to hug her because I can't fathom how calm she looked. If it isn't for her tangled hair and bruised cheek, I would thought that none of it ever happened. 

'Are you okay ?'

'I don't know, Tae. I'm used to it. Stop with the face. You're making me feel worse.' She said looking down. I have to hug her. No, Taehyung ! How are you going to be responsible for that ?? 

'I didn't mean to.' I said. She looked up and smiled. I was taken aback  at how genuine it was. 

'I put you through so much today, Tae. You should go home. He might come back.' Hana said as she fumbled on the hem of her shirt.

I didn't want to go home. I wanted to make sure she's okay. 'If
