Living StorySoyung sat in the empty classroom, her eyes staring down at her notebook. School had ended already, it had been done for about ten minutes and she was still sitting in her science class. She didn't want to leave, because she knew all outside did was bring her trouble. Soyung felt deep regret for earlier, that Minjae was caught up in all of this because of something she said to Gina. That couldn't be the real reason right? Gina wasn't that evil was she? Why was she so obsessed with ruining her life? She hated it, because Soyung couldn't figure it out. Slumping in her seat, she frowned deeply and stared at the lined page beneath her. Biting at her bottom lip, she thought of how terrified the girl must have been. Because of her.
The door opened, and she looked up to see an unsuspecting Kyungil walking toward the teachers desk with a piece of paper. She wanted to say something, but he didn't seem to see her. Should she let him go without noticing her. He set the paper down on the desk, peeking over to make sure it was the right spot. When he turned around, his eyes flickered over her, and at first he was flustered.
"Soyung? Why are you sitting here alone? You scared the out of me." The older let out a soft breath, his eyes staring at her as she loosely shrugged her shoulders. He could already tell by her body language that something was wrong, because when she was at his house, he was able to observe what she was like when she was sad.
"I'm just sitting and thinking. I'm sorry." She said, leaning back in her seat and clearing . He paused, wandering over and pulling a chair toward her. He sat down across from her, pursing his lips as he rested his chin on the desk.
"What's up? You can't hide from me, I know when you're sad." Kyungil spoke, watching her with a lazy gaze as she attempted to not look at the male. It was hard when he was right in front of her and her first instinct was to look at him, she just didn't want to admit he was right.
"Well I'm not sad, I'm just thinking." She tried to deny it, her eyes flickering up to meet his dark brown eyes which were sparkling up at hers. Sighing, she sat up straight and cleared . "Okay. I will admit I'm not doing so good." Soyung spoke simply, feeling the air in her chest compress into nothing. It was difficult to own up to the feelings of guilt she held so deeply in her. Kyungil saw this, by the way the way her soul practically left her body. Frowning, the older sat up and reached a hand over. Setting it on her cheek, he gently turned her so she was looking at him directly.
"You can tell me." The words made the girl lean into his palm, her cheeks colouring a soft pink. Sure he was always sweet to her when she needed it, but she still wasn't used to it. Whenever she saw him and she was her usual self, they exchanged dumb jokes and even words that would be offensive to other people if misunderstood. But this, wasn't new, but wasn't so usual.
"I feel like my guilt is eating me alive... There's this girl and she keeps messing with Minjae. So I stepped in to protect her, and ever since that happened about a year ago, this girl seems to like to mess with both of us. Except I'm the one who never actually gets hurt... Only my feelings? God that sounds dumb... I'm 17 and my feelings are hurt. I'm so stupid.. But I keep saying things to this girl, and today she really hurt Minjae. It's my fault... It's really my fault and I'm such a bad friend for being at fault." She whispered under her breath, placing her hand over the males and leading it away from her face. Setting it on the desk, she kept her hand over his, closing her eyes to avoid embarrassing herself further with crying.
"You're not stupid. It's not your fault. If Minjae was hurt after you said something to her, it's probably just her messing with you. Don't believe in someone who's purposely hurting you
