10 ; Tick Tock
Living StorySoyung sat on her bed, sitting across from her best friend who was busy eating cookies. They had talked, a lot. A lot meaning, Minjae knew everything that was going through the other girls mind, and how she felt and what it was like to do everything. Leaning back against the stuffed animals Soyung kept on her bed, she frowned and turned her head to look at the other who was dusting crumbs off her lap.
"I really don't know if Gina's being creepy or if she really does like him. But she likes him for a dumb reason, I'm not saying I like him but come on he's so much more than a pretty face." Soyung mumbled under her breath, turning around and hugging a plush cat. At that, the slightly older girl let out a soft laugh and sat up further on the bed.
"Are you sulking? Because you don't like that Gina likes Kyungil?" Minjae had never seen the other be sad over things like this, the real last time it happened was because she didn't have enough money to buy a collectable toy. The younger girl gasped, glaring at her playfully and shaking her head.
"No! I am not sulking, I'm mad because he's really nice and caring and she likes him because he has a six pack." Continuing to sulk, the girl sat up and sighed. Moving her hair from her face, she then picked up her phone and looked through her text messages. "What about you? You haven't ever talked to Jaeho-oppa, and suddenly you tell me you met a cute boy at a store close to your house. You've seen him twice in less than 24 hours." Soyung spoke, reaching over for a cookie and munching on it innocently. Meanwhile, Minjae's face turned red and she had to reach over and smack the other on the shoulder.
"Jonghwa is not a cute boy!" She squeaked out, turning her blushing face away from her best friend who only laughed at her.
"He's not? You don't think even a little cute? You think he's unattractive? You think he's ugly?"
"Fine! He's cute, but that's not why I talked to him." Soyung gave her a look, in which the older rolled her eyes and flicked her nose. "I talked to him because he was there the last time and was curious."
"Fine. But when are you going to talk to Jaeho-oppa again?"
"Never ever."
It was Monday, 11AM and everyone was walking around the hallways to get to their class. The thing was it was so rainy outside, the clouds hid the sun and it was raining hard. Soyung had to walk to school, and was soaking when she met up with Minjae who saved her with an umbrella. Now Soyung was sitting by the window on the radiator in the hallway, her eyes following the slow drops having imaginary races with each other. There was a break before the next subject, which was math, so she would rather spend some time to think. While thinking, she glanced to the side, accidentally making eye contact with the one person she was accidentally thinking about. Kyungil stood at the other side of the hall, just trying to walk his way to class with Jaeho. She swore his eyes sparkled when they met, and she smiled gently, turning her head to look back out the window. To him she looked sad, and since Minjae wasn't around he was a little curious. So the tall male walked over to her, sitting down beside her and smiling gently.
"Hey, you doing okay?" Kyungil asked, staring at the girls face as she looked over at him, smiling and nodding shortly.
"Hi oppa, I'm fine." Her short response did manage to calm the worry in his stomach, but something about the way she looked caught him off guard. Was she this pretty the other day? Was he only focused on making her feel better? Suddenly his stomach felt weird again.
"Kyungil! Mr.Lee is going to give us detention if we walk in ever two seconds late. I don't want to listen to Mrs.Moon talking about her damn problems like she does every single session, I know everything I don't want to know about her children and how her husband 'is a lazy hog who doesn't even get up to wash the dishes'." Jaeho said, walking over and grabbing onto his friends wrist, pulling him up quite easily, before dragging him away from the girl, just a few feet away.
"Ah yeah, okay. Um, I'll talk to you later?" Kyungil's gaze stayed on the girl, as she watched him be dragged away from her. She laughed a bit, the sound making the older smile.
"Yeah! See you later." And like that he was gone, and she was alone. Getting up from her spot, she was walking down the opposite way they went, preparing to go up the stairs when she heard the sound of heels hitting the floor. Stopping, she looked down and pretended to check her phone, which was a lie because she knew that it was Gina any ways.
"Oh~ Soyung, Hi. Where's
