I woke up very early because I was really excited by the date with Earn. It was a different feeling than the past days were we used to hang out only the two of us.

-Pete~! Are you awake?!-it was my mother voice

-I’m coming!-I shouted while putting my shirt on

I ran down stairs and towards the kitchen, were the voice of my mother came from

-I need you to go buy me some things-she said cleaning his hands on the apron she was wearing

I didn’t have to ask for what things because she gave me a sheet of paper with all the things she wanted and of course she also gave me the money to buy them.

-I’ll go now then-I said and after taking my keys and my cellphone I exited the house

I took a cab to go at the mall because it was a little far from my house. I pay the bill and leave the cab. I entered the mall and started searching for the items that my mother needed.

-Onions, tomatoes, peppers-I muttered walking towards the vegetables area

I reach the place where the vegetables were and started collecting the things I needed. I took a plastic bag to put the onions. I was about to took another plastic bag when my eyes caught the sight of a familiar back. I stared at the person in front and when said person turned I was sure it was who I thought.

Without having to call for the person he saw me and waved smiley and spoke first to me. As always Film was in a very cheery mood.

-Hey Pete! What are you doing so early on a Sunday?-he said approaching to me

-My mother needed some stuff and I came to buy them for she-I said simply without looking to much at him

I was still feeling nervous in his presence.

-Oh~ I see-

-What are you doing here?-I said because he seems like only browsing around the mall

-I was searching for stuff for my sister’s birthday hahaha-he said and stared at me-do you need help?-he asked politely

-I don’t want to disturb your searching-I said a little taken aback by his offer

-Oh it is not problem-he smiled widely-I have time-

-Then I think is ok-

Both continued gathering all the stuff on the list my mother gave me. And with Film’s help I finished more quickly. At the end we had a lot of bags.

I was a little tired after walking so much so I let myself sit on the edge of the little fountain in the center of the mall.

-Ah~~ I’m so tired-I whined closing my eyes and letting the bags on the floor

-I thought you was in better shape Pete-Film teased with a mockery tone

-Oh~ shut up-I said felling a little flustered-it’s because I woke up early today-

-Haha sure that must be the reason-he laughed a little more and ended siting by my side

We stayed in silence a few minutes only looking at the people walking around.

-Hey Pete-suddenly Film spoke

-What’s up?-

-Have you…have you thought about what I told you?-

I opened widely my eyes and had to turn my head to avoid looking his eyes. I thought about it, but I wasn’t ready to speak out loud my reply.

-Yeah-I whispered because I didn’t want to tell him

-May I know the answer?-

-…-

I turned to look at him and my heart ached. He was smiling at me. Why he have to like me in that way?!

I turned again my head to avoid looking him. I had to tell him because I don’t want him to create false hopes.

-I…I appreciate your feelings towards me Film but there’s someone that I like already-

-…it is Earn right?-he said after a long pause

I turned totally shocked with his words. How he knew?!

-Hahaha no need to look so startled Pete, is pretty obvious that you like him-he said and his voice sounded sour

I bit my lip because I knew he was hurt.

-Film I..-he interrupted my speech

-It is ok Pete, I totally understand-he smiled but his smile looked too forced-but we still are friends right?-

-Of course we are!-I shouted more loudly that I needed and when a few persons turned to look at us I blushed

How embarrassing~

-Haha-he only laughed-ah~ I think I lose-he said and his words made me confused

-What do you mean?-

-Nothing nothing-he smiled widely before continuing talking-whatever you need you know I’ll be here to help-

-Thanks man-I smiled back because Film was such a good friend that I was starting wondering if I deserve it

The sound of my cell phone distracted me from my thoughts. I took the device and saw that my mother was calling me.

-Yes?-

-Pete I need the things for today you know?-was all my mother said when I answered the call

-I’m going now, I’ll be there soon-

-Ok, take care-she said and hanged the call

-Your mother?-

-Yes, I have to go now-

-I’ll help you to take the bags to the cab-Film said and stood up

-Thanks-

Ah~~ he was such a gentleman, always so kind.

-So~~-he started talking again-you told him already?-

-Yes-I said knowing exactly what he meant by his question

-And what was his answer?-

-I…I really don’t know-I had to tell him

I was a little confused by Earn actions and words now that I was remembering all the stuff that happened.

-What do you mean?-Film asked me and he stopped walking

-Is just…nothing haha-

-…-he didn’t say anything more and in complete silence we arrived where the cabs were

I grabbed one cab and put all the stuff inside, I also said goodbye to Film but he only waved his hand and walked away before I entered the cab. I looked his back disappear in the distance and then I entered the cab. The way home my mind was a complete mess, I needed to talk with Earn.

When I arrived home my mom was a little upset because I was very late. I apologize and left all the stuff with her before heading to my room.

The hours passed way too fast for my liking and without being totally aware of it, the time to meet Earn at Siam Center came.

I looked myself one last time before exiting my room. I was wearing a pair of gray skinny jeans, a black t-shirt and my favorite jacket. I grinned and took my keys, phone and money to finally leave.

I arrived five minutes before the seven. I walked around a little until a familiar voice sounded beside me.

-Hey! Pete!-

It was Earn.

-Ah~…so..sorry..I’m late ah~~-he said totally out of breath

-It’s not that late so don’t worry hahaha-I couldn’t help but laugh at his poor condition

-uff~~…so…how about we go to see a movie?-he grinned and my poor heart started beating faster

Why he has to be so handsome?

-su..sure-I said and started walking towards where the cinema was

We ended choosing an action movie that both wanted to see since said movie came out. Earn bought popcorns and soda to eat during the movie. The film was super exciting as I was expected and I was enjoying so much that I totally forget that today Earn and I were on a date. But before I could feel nervous about it the movie ended and we exited the cinema.

-Are you hungry?-Earn asked me while dumping the trash

-A little-

-Let’s go eat something then-he smiled widely and without warning grabbed my wrist to start walking

It was such a nice feeling being able to be this way with Earn, I was just too happy.

We ended on a barbecue buffet to fully fill our bellies. And while eating I took the opportunity to clarify all the things with Earn.

-Uhm~ Earn-I said to bring his attention to me

-What’s up?-

-I…I want to know what…-a sudden loud ringtone echoed between us making me jump a little

Holy… that scared me.

-Hello? Aw~ Noh what’s up?-after listening Noh’s name my body tensed-everything it’s alright?...-for a brief moment his gaze made contact with mine but felling a little rejected I lowered my head-I’m sorry Noh but right now I’m busy…yes see you around…bye-and without any other word he hanged the call

A totally awkward atmosphere grew between us and I was felling totally unsure of speaking or not. But I needed to know all the Earn’s thoughts about us.

-Earn…what are we right now?-I said frankly looking straight at his eyes

-…-silence

Just silence. So in the end nothing changed between us. Why I was starting feeling like crying?

-I see-was all I said and stood up

Without waiting for his answer I exited the local of barbecue. I was so stupid to think that in the end he was going to choose me. Stupid. Without warning the tears started dropping from my eyes. God dammit. I was so pissed off at myself.

I wanted to scream and yell at the top of my lungs until my voice faded away with all the feelings for Earn, because it was too painful to bear anymore. I didn’t noticed when I stopped running until I felt a pair of strong arms holding me tightly.

-Please don’t cry Pete-Earn whispered against my nape

-…I’m so done with you Earn-I barely spoke due the cry-do you know how hard it’s for me all this situation?!-now I was starting to feel pissed off at him

-I know Pete, please forgive me-he said and just in that moment I noticed how his body was trembling-it’s just that I don’t know how to show you the way I feel about you-he hugged me stronger

-…-I didn’t knew what to say

-I know you don’t believe entirely that I like you the way you like me, and I understand that because I’m really bad at expressing myself, and beside all the stuff with me liking Noh, it’s understandably, but I want you to give me a chance to prove you that my feelings toward you are real, I know I’m being a bastard and you can blame me entirely for everything, just don’t go away of me, after all the sh*t that happened between both I can tell that I’m not good without you by my side Pete, I’m being totally honest right now so..please…just..-

-Earn!!-I shouted feeling dizzy by all his word

Gosh this guy surely can talk when he’s nervous.

-Chill yourself a little ok?-I said feeling better now after hearing his little, not so little, speech

I freed myself from his embrace only to turn around and look at him properly. I smiled at him seeing how his eyes started to turn a little red.

-It is true all you said?-

-Totally true-he said staring at me seriously

-Are you sure you can leave your feelings for Noh in the past to give us a chance?-I needed to ask him to be totally sure about my next step

-I will give all of me to let that love in the past to center all my love in you-he said totally serious that I couldn’t help the blush in my cheeks

-Good, because I’m getting really tired of all this bullsh*t of yours-I said in a serious tone

-I know, and believe me when I say I’m going to prove you that you are more than a best friend to me, because you are a really important person in my life and I don’t know what would I…-

-Earn! Relax~ I was joking-I said smiling widely and laughing a little

-Don’t laugh! Can’t you see how nervous am I?-he said and I could see how his face turned a little pink

-Serves you right for all the things that I had to go through because of you-I said totally enjoying his reactions

-Don’t be so cruel with me-he said and made a little pout

-Hahaha-a laughed a little more before talking again-well I think now is time to clarify all-

-What do you mean?-he asked totally clueless

I smiled and stepped closer to him breathing deeply before talk to him-Earn do you want to be my boyfriend?-I said and bit my bottom lip because I was feeling totally nervous and about to collapse

It was really hard ask someone out.
