Chapter 12

 Today at the kindergarten, Haneul needs to stay for a while to accompany a little boy from her class named Jaehoon because his mother was late to take him home. Haneul played with him and keep him happy while waiting for his mother. Usually his mother always arrives even before the bell rang. Jaehoon sat on the swing while Haneul push him from behind. He was giggling happily because of the swing made his hair fly all over his face and it felt like he was flying. He needs to cut his hair though because his bang almost covered his eyes. 

 After waiting for a while, there was a car parked in front of the kindergarten. A young man came out from the car and walked towards the kindergarten. When Jaehoon looked at the direction of the man, he jumped from the swing and ran towards him. The young man opened his arms and hold Jaehoon with a wide grin on his face. Jaehoon giggled and hugged the man tightly. Haneul looked at the scene with a warm heart. They looked like each other. Maybe this man is Jaehoon father, even though he looked too young to be a father with 5 years old kid. After teasing the little boy with his hug, the young man shifted her gaze to Haneul, He looked at her for a long time. Haneul nodded her head to greet him some respect but then the young man gasped at her after staring for quite a while. He approached her with Jaehoon still in his hold. 

 “You are Haneul right? Song Haneul who used to live here?” the young man looked at her excitedly. Haneul looked at the man and furrowed her brows from confusion. Did he someone she knows back then? Well he is handsome with a manly featured and his eyebrows are so thick and it emphasizes his manliness even more. She tried to remember and after looked at him closer she felt so familiar with him but then the man decided to laugh at her so hard because of her confused expression. And that time she knows who he is. That laugh is only one in this earth. 

 “Lee Howon?” She exclaimed excitedly. Howon nodded his head happily. Finally this girl recognized him. He came closer to hug her lightly, Haneul returned the hug with smile. She didn’t know she would meet him here. Howon was one of Haneul best friends while she was still live here. They used to play together with the other kids when they were younger. Howon never met her since the accident that happened to her family and she decided to move to Busan. Haneul didn’t even have the chance to said good bye to him last time.

 “Do you still live here?” Haneul asked him, they decided to sat at the swing and have a chat and catching up with each other. Jaehoon was sitting on Howon lap and looked at the two adult conversing. 

 “No, I’m here for a vacation. I live at Seoul as a dance instructor at an entertainment company.” Howon explained his current job to his old friend. Haneul gasped in joy when she heard it. You can’t spell Howon’s name without inserting dance in the middle. Howon like to dance since he was kid and he always teaches Haneul dance move he is good at. 

 “Wow! Your dream really come true Howon-ah. Waah you must be proud of yourself, do you remember that a lot of our classmates laughed at you when you said you want to be a dancer?” Haneul remember the day their teacher asked them what their dream and Howon was laughed at because he said he want to be a dancer while the other kids said they want to be a pilot, doctor, teacher, etc. Only some of the kids didn’t laugh at him including Haneul. Now Howon become one successful dance instructor in one of the biggest entertainment company. He never gave up with his dream even though other people mock him. 

 “Yeah, maybe their mocking face was one of the motivations that I had to never give up and pursue my dream no matter what. I want to prove them that it’s not a silly dream.” Howon grin at her and asked her how her life after she moved to Busan. She told them everything except the fact that she is pregnant right now. It’s not because she feel ashamed but because she didn’t want to ruin their reunion with it. She knew Howon would pity her and she didn’t like it, she will tell him though, but not today. 

 “Wah I never know you will become a teacher. Because you used to be so boyish, I didn’t expect you would be this feminine.” Howon actually really surprised with this turned of event. It took him quite some time to recognize her back then. But well, Haneul is beautiful even when she still a kid and so boyish. Haneul laughed at Howon statement and couldn’t deny it since it’s the truth. Maybe because she grew at an orphanage with a lot of younger kids her woman side surfaced and turned her to be a gentle woman. And because she used to be surrounded by kids, she grew to like them a lot that’s why she decided to become a teacher.

 “Well I should say that I didn’t expect you to be a father at a very young age too.” Haneul in return. Howon mouth gaped for a moment before he burst out laughing. He laughed so hard until his stomach hurt. Haneul who didn’t understand what funny, looked at her friend with confused look. 

 “What’s so funny?” she asked because Howon still laughed at her without trying to explain to her. When his laugh ceased, he pointed at Jaehoon.

 “You mean this little boy? You think I’m his father?” Howon asked her in a teasing tone. Haneul nodded her head innocently.

 “Well, he is not your son? But you looked like each other. Like father and son.” Howon burst out once again and Haneul getting impatient with his attitude until Jaehoon pull her dress and make her looked at him.

 “This is Uncle Howon. He is not my father. My father looked much more handsome than him.” Howon who heard what the kid was saying give his annoyed looked. He pinched Jaehoon cheeks and made the boy yelp in pain and they start to bicker. Haneul laughed at them both. They looked so cute together. She touched her belly and couldn’t help but felt sad because her baby wouldn’t be able to bicker cutely with his/her father. 

 They were too engrossed by their reunion that the three of them didn’t realize someone watched the scene with a broken heart.

 Myungsoo ate his breakfast quickly, he woke up really late today and cursing his sleepy head for too much sleep. He will resume his search once again and while he ate he is thinking where he should go to search for Haneul. He already went to the place Haneul would likely to go but his search still do him nothing good. After finishing his breakfast he walked towards his bedroom and took his camera with him. He needed to think first before deciding where to go. He his camera just to look at Haneul’s picture. At least looking at her photos could make him feel better and help him to think clearly. He flipped through all the picture and his hand stopped pressing the next button when he found the very first picture he took of Haneul. He looked at the picture and realization down on him suddenly. Why he is so stupid? He already looked for her on the places Haneul said she like to go but he missed one place that Haneul really like and enjoy so much. The Kindergarten, why he it never come across his mind that Haneul would go to the kindergarten. Well, she need to support herself and the baby. She should work right? And the only job she enjoyed is being a kindergarten teacher. Her love for the children will drag her there. After realizing his stupidity, Myungsoo rose from the bed he was sitting at and grab her jacket and car key. He got in the car while cursing his stupid mind and drove away from his house.

 Myungsoo stopped in front of the flower shop. He got out from the car quickly and made his way towards the shop.

 “Halmeoni?” He called the old lady and the old lady rushed to meet him. She greet him and asked him what’s the matter. It’s unusual for her to watch the young man looked like he is in rushed.

 “Halmeoni, can you tell me where the nearest kindergarten around here?” Myungsoo asked her straightforwardly.

 “I know one, why?” The old lady raised her eyebrows in confusion. Why would this young man go to the kindergarten?

 “I need to go there immediately. Could you give me the way to go there?” Myungsoo asked in excitement. The old lady nodded her head and writes the direction to him.

 “Well actually I know someone who worked there. But at this time she would already teaching there.” She told Myungsoo while writing the direction. If only Myungsoo come earlier she would gladly introduced him to Haneul and asked the girl to take him there with her. Who knows what will happen to both of them if they can spend some time together. That’s what the old lady thought.

 “But Myungsoo when do you plan to go there?” the old lady asked while glancing at the clock on the wall. 

 “I plan to go there as soon as you finished write the direction for me.” Myungsoo answered her without turning his head from the paper the old lady holding and currently wrote at. 

 “But what are you gonna do there? It’s already late if you want to meet the children or any other people there. The school should have ended an hour ago.” The old lady looked at him worriedly. She hand the paper with the direction on it to Myungsoo and Myungsoo glanced at it happily. He creased his brows from the disappointment but decided to go there even though he wouldn’t meet with anyone now. At least he knows where the place is first. He thanked the old lady and bid his goodbye. He walked and get on his car and start his engine. He prayed that Haneul is there. At least even though he still couldn’t meet her today, he hopes he will eventually meet her there given its tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. 

 Myungsoo followed the direction the old lady gave him and stop at the kindergarten. He looked around the front playground and his eyed widened when he saw his love. He already unbuckled his seatbelt and ready to rush out from the car as soon as possible when he suddenly realizes that his love wasn’t alone. She was there on the swing with a man and a little boy sitting on the man’s lap. They looked like they enjoyed each other company. Myungsoo squinted his eyes even more when he saw Haneul laughed at the man and they joked around like an ideal couple. And with little boy sat together with them, it make Myungsoo think that they looked like a happy family. He fumed with anger, he want to run to Haneul side and dragged her with him but his heart stop him. He couldn’t hurt her more and looking at her smiling from ear to ear make him really happy but also sad at the same time. He is sad it’s not him who makes her smile like that. Myungsoo decided to just stay in the car. Fortunately his window is tinted so they can’t see him.

 Myungsoo stayed there until he saw them moved. It looked like Haneul will come with them and Myungsoo decided to follow behind. His grip on the steering wheel got tightens every time he saw their interaction but he tried to control himself. Nothing good will happen if he acted out from his anger and jealousy.

 Haneul got in Howon’s car and sat at the passenger seat while Jaehoon sat on her lap. She accepted Howon proposal to give her ride to her home. They continued their conversation while Howon focused on the road. When he looked at the rear mirror he saw a black Bentley followed behind them. At first Howon didn’t think much about it but the car always maintained a good distance with their car and seemed like following the car, and it makes him suspicious. 

 “ Haneul-ah did you know someone around here who ride a black Bentley sedan?” Howon asked Haneul after he felt that the car behind was following them. Haneul looked at him confused with the sudden question, but when she heard “Black Bentley Sedan” she couldn’t help but to remember someone who really want to buy it. 

 “I don’t know. I just move too. Maybe there is someone who has it around here. Why?” She asked him why the sudden question.

 “Nothing, it’s just I thought the black Bentley behind us is following us since a while ago.” Howon explained to Haneul that make Haneul turned her head in curiosity. There the black Bentley behind them following in a certain distance. She squinted her eyes to see clearly but the window was tainted. She couldn’t see anything, including someone who really want to hold her now and someone who actually she really missed a lot. 

 “Oh maybe that’s the young man Halmeoni talked about.” Haneul suddenly remember her conversation with the old lady from the flower shop few days ago about a handsome young man who she want to introduced to her. 

 “Halmeoni?” Howon asked her who she meant.

 “Lee Halmeoni. Do you remember the old lady from the flower shop?”

 “Oh I remember her. Is she still open her flower shop?” Howon remember the kind old lady who always gave Haneul a flower whenever they passed her shop in the past.

 “Yes she is. You should visit her while you are still here.” Haneul suggested it because they used to play there often when they still kids. 

 “Oh yes I will. Just accompany me there would you?” Haneul nodded her head. While she conversed with Howon, she can’t help but to steal few glances towards the car behind them. Howon didn’t suspicious anymore but now Haneul who can’t sit still. She didn’t know why but her heart keeps pounding since she heard and saw the Black Bentley Sedan. 

 When finally they reached her house Haneul opened her side door and come out from the car. She holds Jaehoon and put him to the ground. While Howon was walked towards her to say his goodbye, the Black Bentley drive passes through them and turned at the corner. 

 “It looks like the car is not following us. They just happen to go to the same direction as us.” Howon chuckled at his own suspicion but Haneul still feel otherwise. But she tried to cover it with a nod and smile to Howon. After some chat and exchange contact number Howon bid his goodbye and open the passenger seat for Jaehoon and they drove away from Haneul house. Haneul on the other hand is still standing there with a lot of thought. After telling her self that she is being ridiculous for suspecting it was Myungsoo, she shook her head and entered her house to rest.

 Myungsoo arrived at his house after following Haneul until her house. He pretended to just passed them like he had the same direction with them. It turned out that Haneul’s house was just few blocks from his house. He couldn’t believe they didn’t meet until today but well he is grateful enough to meet with her. But aside from being relieved and happy for finding her, he felt anger and jealousy too. The ugly emotion made him hate himself. But the most uncomfortable thing is the fact that Haneul actually happy here, without him beside her. Myungsoo washed himself and changed to his clean clothes and laid his back on his bed. Whenever the scene from the kindergarten flashed his memory he grimace from the uncomfortable feeling he felt. He is indeed will never like it if Haneul smile because of someone else. He was afraid if he decided to make appearance in front of her, he will ruin her happiness. He was afraid Haneul will hate him more. He was afraid if he is not the one who can make her happy and that will broke him into pieces and he know he won’t be able to repair it. But if he decided to leave her and do nothing, he won’t be able to sleep and live his life after that. He couldn’t leave his love and his baby. After a lot of thinking, he decided he will watch her from afar. He will protect them no matter what even though it means he should become someone invisible. He will be there for her even though she didn’t know it. He won’t leave her for sure. And with determined heart he changed his position to the more comfortable position and soon after drifted to the dreamland.

A/N Haiii finally the new chapter out.. sorry for make all of you wait for me. Actually a lot of things happen this weekend and I couldn’t find time to write the story but yeah I managed to post it today.
