💯 Chapter 3 ; "Are we friends?"

    The class that Nari was assigned in, D.O was in that class too, and as she walks in, he was surprised. Teacher Oh goes,"This is our new student. Please show respect to her." Nari then greeted them saying,"Annyeonghaseyo, I'm Mari (A fake name her mom gave her) Please take care of me..." Nari suddenly made an eye contact at D.O and smiled. But she just look away. D.O smiled as he get to see her face again.

    Nari sat at an empty spot as the teacher walk out of the class. A student call Sohee then told her saying,"oh, don't sit there. There's a crazy person who sits there. But you can sit at the spot beside D.O over there." D.O looked up as he heard his name was called. Nari then look at him. Sohee said to Nari,"D.O is the one sitting right there with a book in his hand. Just go sit at the spot behind him." D.O smiled and said to Nari,"come sit at the spot behind me." Nari shyly nodded her head and went to sit there. As she sat down, she quickly pull out her book and started to read like how some are doing. She notice that some just chat with their friends, instead of studying. She pluck in her headphones and blast some musics on. 

  Sungjae finally walked in opening the door loud, which is the class Nari is in. Everyone in the class look at him. He goes,"what?! Don't i always always in like this?" Everyone look away right then. Sungjae then walk to his seat. As Sungjae sat down, Nari then stood up and walk out of the classroom with her headphone on & cellphone in her hand. She didn't realize that Sungjae was in the same class and school she attends to. She quietly walk down the hallway, looking around. D.O notice Nari walking out of the classroom, he then went after to see what she's doing. 

  Nari walked up to the rooftop for some air, she went to the edge of the roof and stood there. She close her eyes, as she feels the wind blowing on her face. D.O also came up to the rooftop and saw her doing that. He just smiled sweetly as he look at her. She then took off her headphone and turned her face towards D.O, her hair flew to the side showing her bandage on her forehead. D.O saw her bandage on her head and wonder why it's there. Nari looked at him with a straight face and goes,"Have.. we met before?" D.O walked towards her and responded,"you must forgot...already." Nari goes, "sorry..." He said to her,"It's okay, from now on we'll be able to get to know each other and be friends." Nari suddenly smile saying,"friend?" He nodded his head saying,"yea, friends. why? why do you look like you never have a friend before?" Nari sigh and responded,"i don't have friends... but you'll be my first if we're really friends." He smiled saying,"ok, we're friends then. i'll be your first friend." Nari brightly smile as she heard that and goes,"really?! wow, i finally have someone that i can call as a friend. i like it...." D.O couldn't hide his smile, every time she's happy. 

   As Sungjae was lying his head down on his table, he then heard the people beside him saying,"That new student looks nice and so innocent looking.." He then look at them asking,"We have a new student? boy or girl?" Those people look at him with a straight face, not wanting to respond to him. He goes, "Aish! Forget it!" He then walk out of the classroom, as he was about to walk out, he bumped into Seho which is the guy he usually fought with in class. Seho look at him and goes,"WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING BEFORE YOU GET IT!" Sungjae just laugh and smirk at him. Seho suddenly grab him by the collar and pushed him into the classroom and he knocked over few tables.  The students backed away or walked out of the room, since that happens all the time. Sungjae got up and punched him saying,"I won't let you be the only one who can hurt me!" Seho and Sungjae suddenly fought. At that time, Nari and D.O came back. Nari saw Sungjae & Seho fighting but she could barely recognize Sungjae cause people were blocking her view. D.O suddenly held her back saying,"Don't go in right now. This happens all the time." Nari asked,"Why isn't anyone stopping them?" He responded,"you can't... The teacher will be the one handling them. See, look. Teacher Oh is coming right now." Nari look and saw Teacher Oh coming down the hallway. 

   Sungjae pushed Seho and he knocked over few tables. Seho got up and punched Sungjae, he slipped and flew out of the class door. Students moved aside, except Nari. Sungjae suddenly hugged Nari right then. She was shocked, not knowing who it was. D.O looked and looked surprise. Nari could hear him breathing hard. Nari quietly said to him,"are you okay...?" Sungjae slowly backed away and look at her. Both of them finally met again. Their eyes widen as they saw each other. Nari saw Sungjae's face with bruises, scars, blood. But Teacher Oh came and pulled Sungjae & Seho to the office right then. Nari watch him go, still speechless that it was him the whole time. 

  D.O said to her,"are you okay?" Nari looked at him nodding his head and asked,"Why are they like that?" D.O responded,"It just happens to be that way. Both of them never got along." 

  Teacher Oh took them into his office and goes,"You two already caused your 10th fight. When will you two stop, huh!?" Both of them didn't care to respond. Then the teacher goes,"Then I'm gonna give you two a work to do. And you two can't complain about or else your parents will get involved." Seho asked, "As long as i don't get work with that crazy person, I'm fine with it." Sungjae goes,"WHAT?! Aish!" Teacher Oh goes,"Be quiet! Both of you will have to stay after school for two days just to clean and scrub the windows in our classroom. If one of you missed a day, i will double it up. And you'll regret it."
Sungjae and Seho glance at each other and look away pissed off.

  Nari sat in class, and put her headphones on. But the only thing she was wondering was Sungjae. She look at the door every minute, to see if he'll return from the teacher. The bell then rung, D.O turned to Nari and goes,"It's lunch time. Let's go get our lunch." Nari took off her headphones and followed behind him. As she walk to the lunch line, she look around to see if Sungjae's around, but no sign of him. As she got her food and sat down in front of D.O, he then said to her,"Eat.." Nari nodded her head and took some bite of her kimchi. As she ate another bite of kimchi, she accidentally got some kimchi stain on her bottom corner lip. D.O suddenly reach his hand over and wipe it off saying,"you got something right there..." Nari just looked at him and was a bit surprised. She just giggle it off & goes,"thanks..." D.O smiled & responded, "No problem. i'm your friend, i'm willing to help." Nari smiled and goes, "That's right, since we're friends... i like it." He couldn't hold back his smile, it just naturally show. 

  Sungjae walked out of the school, and lay down at a bench. After few minutes pass, someone suddenly blocks the sun from his eyes. Sungjae opens his eyes and saw Nari in front of him. She stood there with a first aid kit in her hand. He sat up and goes,"What are you doing?" She sat beside him and goes,"You're hurt, soo i'll help you." He asked,"Why? Do i look pitiful?" She shook her head saying no & responded,"no... i just want to help you. now, stay still." She made him face her, she then started putting some medicine on his lip first. He goes,"it stings..." She quietly laugh saying,"That's why you don't get into a fight." He goes,"Aish, pabo. you don't need to tell me that." She responded,"Stop arguing when i'm helping you right now. stay still." He looked at her as she focus on putting medicine to heal his wounds on his face. After she was done, she look at him and goes,"What are you looking at?" He then looked away saying,"Aish! Can't you put the medicine on me more smoother? it hurts and sting." She goes,"tsk. stop talking." She got up and carried her kit away. He called her saying,"Yah! I want to be alone, right now." She turned her face at him responding,"Did i say anything?" Sungjae goes, "Yah, you really don't understand words, don't you?" She just smiled and walk back to him. 

  D.O came by and saw Nari with Sungjae. He goes,"they must know each other..." He saw them playing around and laugh together. He sigh and walk away. 

  After few weeks of Nari attending her new school. Nari became closer with some new people there. Even though she lost her memories, she did her best to keep it a secret and not reveal it. She only told Sungjae about it and that's all. She didn't want to look different from others, cause she don't like getting the attention. 

  One day as she attend to school, and she was walking alone down the street towards the school. D.O suddenly appeared beside her saying,"Annyeong! Mari..." She looked at him surprisingly and goes,"aish... you startled me!" He just laughed and responded,"oh sorry." Nari smiled and punch his shoulder a bit saying,"aish.." 

  As they were sitting in class, suddenly Teacher Oh came in with a new female student. Everyone sat down quietly and looked at the new student. Nari looked at that new student. That new student turned out to be Gayeon. As Gayeon greeted herself, she suddenly saw Nari which caught her attention. Nari and Gayeon made eye contact, Gayeon smirked at her. Making Nari look confused on the inside.
